As of today March 4 India lift the ban on crypto, how is this going to affect crypto market? Coronavirus is still out there, is this good or not good enough?

Every positive news can affect the market,

This update they release to the public of lifting the ban of crypto in India can minimally affect the market since they can finally accepted crypto into their country.

And about the issue of Coronavirus, it affects the economy of big countries, so we should expect that this lifting ban of India is not good enough to help the market to recover.

The timing is good, this happens before the halving so for sure it would positively affect the price of bitcoin.
Wait for the pump, it will certainly happen, and this is really a big news, it's a fresh news so everyone has not read about it yet.

We can hope that news can bring new hope for the crypto market to rise, although I doubt it can make the price soar to the higher price. But that is good news for the crypto, and maybe we will see something that will happen through the crypto market. Coronavirus is a different matter, and I don't think that it has connections with the crypto market. But we will see it later, and if the price can increase so high, especially for bitcoin price, then that will be good for us.

This is good news because there are a lot of crypto enthusiasts in India and their government uplifting cryptocurrency ban can affect the market. The Coronavirus spread has an indirect effect on crypto since big countries' economies had been affected.

Well, this will have good effect in Bitcoin Price and also in some reputable altcoins. But I don't expect bigger change in price because I think some investors are looking for right timing to buy bitcoin at cheaper price that's why growth will not boom immediately.
And this is good because India now knows the good use of bitcoin and crypto currency to thier country which will help to country collecting tax and to improve thier economy.

Definitely, news like this will bring positive effect to the market. I still remember when there was a lot of negative news about India banning crypto and as far I can remember people are rallying outside to petition and lift the ban.

As for the effect, might not be drastic though, but at least this this will bring some optimism not just in India but around the crypto community as well.

If a country lifts its ban on bitcoin then that's good news because the country as a whole will legalize in its own country especially in India of course this will have a positive impact on the price of bitcoin on the market maybe there will later be a pump.

Hopefully other countries do the same as this which lifts the ban on holding bitcoin.

The news is all over the community, seen a lot of thread in the Bitcoin Discussion board. It's understandable though, as many of our Indian crypto enthusiast did fought this ban and now hearing this beautiful news, it really makes everyone feel very positive as well.

Although we still have the corona virus scare that somewhat cause the price to be affected, with this kind of big news, I'm sure that the market will see some good spike and who knows, maybe we can get to that five digits again.

I got this  news (https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2020/03/04/indias-apex-court-lifts-the-ban-on-cryptocurrency-trading/) at this morning and I felt so good to see every part on the artcile.

I'm so glad if there is a country who ban cryptocurrencies before and they pull the decision to accept cryptocurrency, which is mean there is something good in cryptocurrency.

Although the Indian Government need almost two years to make a decision that cryptocurrencies are safe especially for trading place, so I hope this news will attract a lot people there to cryptocurrency.

in my opinion this is good news for crypto users in india. because with the release of crypto there will make it easier for miners there to return to actively using their computers and get back to work. and corona virus is not a threat to crypto users because they don't need to go out enough in front of their computer and it's inside the house right.

actually this was first Published in this Section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230253.0 and seems to be having a Good response because we cannot deny that there are many Indians that participating and investing in cryptocurrency so having this Lift will lead to more possible reinvesting and also best way to celebrate the Halving season.for almost 2 years of banning the people of India now can make their way inside the market with heads up not like what they are having in previous years.for me?this is a More than Good enough to make celebrate and expect a increase in market prices and capitalization in the next days.

I saw this news but I do not think that it will somehow affect the market. I think that we should not pay attention to such announcements. Of course, this slows down the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies a bit, but we all understand that mass adoption will come and most likely the ban in India will be lifted after some time

India lifting ban on crypto can't be compare to China lifting ban on crypto, do not expect huge changes to Bitcoin and crypto market just because india lift the ban, there won't be huge impact about this

Title: Re: Here we go again

Lifting the ban will surely affect the cryptocurrency even if it's minimal. The COVID scare still exists so news about this might have a little impact on the rates on cryptocurrency in the crypto market but still without the ban people from India will surely take a look at how crypto works. As far as I know, a lot of India people are into cryptocurrency so I think the positive news will at least make them at ease in investing their money in cryptocurrency since it is legal now.

I laugh at how any country thinks they can ban cryptocurrency.  Anywhere there's a network connection, crypto is UNBANNABLE.

If the USA banned crypto, do you think I'd stop?  Hell no.

That's a great news we know that India has a very large community specially cryptocurrency users this ban lifting in regards with cryptocurrency will bring the market investors from India not just in trading as well as to projects that is related to cryptocurrency.

In regards with the corona virus I don't think there's an effect of it to the market or to the cryptocurrency industry, true that we're still looking for cure to this but I don't think that the virus has a big impact to the community of cryptocurrency users.

This is expected. I think no countries that have declared ban can sustain that rule forever. Everybody knows that cryptocurrency is becoming main stream in terms of business and trend. Not just that, the tech behind it is really helpful so these countries such as India would think twice not to be in the league of other countries.

there won't be huge impact about this
Your wrong, fundamentally it will help in the increase of price of coins on the market. This kind of news usually become a reason for traders to pump the price but I dont like the thought of this. Though I assure you it will help a lot and good news for Indian crypto enthusiats and traders.

I began to feel that countries, companies, or other things that refused crypto began to accept it again. however, this is good news. it also has the potential to cause crypto prices to rise.

There are a lot of crypto enthusiasts in India and maybe this made the government unbanned crypto in their country.

i think when the india lift the ban on crypto it would be have a very big impact to the crypto market because we all know that another country again will be able to lift their country on the banning state. We all know because of this coronavirus that is happening right now there is a big impact on the crypto market as we all know also that the china is one of the biggest damage because of this virus in which it really has a big impact to the market. So I think this happening will probably have a big impact also.

I do agree, it is expected because even if how many countries will ban crypto, the right time will come and they will realize that banning crypto is the decision that they should regret.
From our experienced, we have witnessed countries that banned crypto but then after lift it and starts accepting it. It seems like they just use the issue of banning it to control it and make crypto roll into their hands.

Good news for a populated country.
A lot of them are tech savvy and you could see it in Youtube.
Most of the "how to's" when it comes to smartphones or computers are mostly made by them.
Well, you will know it because of their voice tone or whatever they call it.

It would be easier for them to transact if crypto currencies will be an option considering if there is a long line waiting.

India has not been noticed by me in the news. Therefore, I’m not sure that this country can influence positively or negatively, of course I’m talking about global or significant changes. In my opinion, the fact that another country stands for cryptocurrency is good, but the fact that it is India, I am neutral towards this.

The fact remains that, this is favourable news, not just to India, but also to the entire crypto community. It's been long the controversy had set in and now that it has been resolved, India is now much a haven for crypto to strive better. There will be more adoptions. However, as regards coronavirus, there is nothing without a start, that does not have an ending. It will end and we might see more crypto enthusiasts and philanthropists to the aid of coronavirus victims and to combat further spread of it.

This is good news, if people from India can buy and sell bitcoins without going to jail, then we will see more activity in the markets. It is important to know India isn't on the list of the most active countries in cryptos, but it could become one since isn't banned anymore.

I don't think it will have an effect on the crypto market.
if so, right from the start Corona has caused market conditions to rise / fall due to the weakening of the Chinese economy when the virus has only spread for a few days.in fact there was no significant impact and in the midst of a very large recovery rate of over 48 thousand people while the mortality rate was only 3 thousand. so there is no impact on crypto, it's unfortunate.

lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies in India will bring many benefits to this market, but I do not think that the price will go up sharply. The government decision will give a big impact for cryptocurrency price afterward. I'm still remember when Indian's government decided to ban cryptocurrencies trading on their country and was affected most all cryptocurrencies price were decreased. But now, I am happy to know this news, maybe OP can put the link which is related to the information to make easier for the reader to see all the information. This could affect a lot when it comes to the market price of the cryptocurrency losing 1 country. One country could obviously give a demand in cryptocurrency losing them could dump the market price this could also be the reason why the market price of bitcoin and altcoins in the market today bounce back, Especially bitcoin that bounce back from 10,000 dollars. For me, this is not a good move for India since bitcoin could be a very good asset in their country and could be very useful for a lot of companies there. Banning bitcoin in India could affect the economic growth in their country, even China is starting to see the potential of this cryptocurrency and i think they already started to use it as an asset.

News like this has always the good vibes so don't think about it being negative news. A country that lifts a ban on cryptocurrency should be acknowledged and taken with positivity. It's one of the reasons why many Indians were worried before when they are transacting but as soon as the court lifted the ban, everyone is celebrating. This is indeed great news which means more people might adopt crypto in the subcontinent as the restrictions have been lifted and I hope Bangladesh might follow the same step. Any news can affect the Crypto Market because Investors rely on it. This news about India lifting the ban against Cryptocurrency will somehow encourage everyone especially investors to invest in Crypto since there will be more participating countries that will support Crypto.
On the other hand, the issue about coronavirus scare will eventually gone as the ongoing operation on how to prevent it or the development of its cure will affect how people will be freely roam around and decide on their transactions in Crypto.

Instantly we can't get any update or positive response from any positive news. As coronavirus effected lately in the market after realize the effect of this virus. This news is very exciting news but this effect we will see in future or few months. Coronavirus effected in our economy then in our world.
Indeed it give some great response for me. India is one of the big country utilizing crypto and this will be marked as one of the succesful fight in cryptocurrency as goverment trying to apprehend what was not necessary such as ban for all its activity.

also know that there are some potential projects from India, including Matic and Wazirx, which can have a positive impact of course.

Every good news has an impact to the market especially there are many crypto users in india and now that the ban is lift expect an increase on demand for crypto.

However even it has a positive impact to the market as a whole, I think its not enough to forget the current issue that we are facing (pertaining to corona virus). Some users do believe this virus are the reason why the market is declining, though its not directly connected.

Perhaps there will be some more startup projects from India only because of this news. It is been seen that India has started showing some growth towards cryptocurrencies and this is really a good step for the future of cryptocurrencies. I really hope that many more countries which were on a verge to ban cryptocurrencies will also start taking some steps forward for mass adaptation.

In few coming years we might see cryptocurrencies on next level because they would really gain huge importance worldwide which would also constantly keep on rising the demand for the limited supply which would reflect in inflation of bitcoins.

But we can hope that this year, the crypto market can increase so we can back to make a bigger profit. But yes, the market still now moving to the high price, and we need to still be patient for more. But once bitcoin price starts to rise again, that can attract more investors to come and invest in bitcoin and altcoin too. We will still have more time to see the crypto market recover and reach the ATH, but we cannot predict accurately when it will coming.

Guys don't get hyped by the title "India lifts ban on Cryptocurrencies". Infact there was never a ban on Cryptocurrencies in India, only the Reserve Bank of India directed the entities under their control not to offer their services to individuals and businesses dealing with Virtual Currencies in Q2 of 2018. Now the Supreme Court has ruled it out that it's unconstitutional. Trading was done through P2P until now. However, this is still a good news and I don't expect a huge impact on the prices except for few Pumps.

Whatever the news, in any case, positive because everything that is happening now in the world associated with cryptocurrencies is nothing but a preparation.
At the moment when a breakthrough revolution occurs, when everyone starts using them, we must have a ready-made infrastructure and people ready to use cryptocurrencies.
This is the key to the future in the cryptographic field.

to their jurisdiction or views/insights towards crypto. Some might consider and some will ban it(just like that). On recent news about corona virus can be transmitted thru fiat notes?
Government will not surely consider making crypto as an option but rather they would create nor used traditional e-fiat ones. What you think?

It's good to the overall growth of crypto. India is one of the most populated country, imagine the millions that the door has been opened to to continue to transact in crypto.

These are the news that i love to read in the crypto currency space, and its a big boost for the indian citizens as they get legal rights to trade bitcoin.
Likewise, i read the same news too about south korea approving the same information.

Then i wonder, did they hold a meeting together before approval ? lol, good number of investors coming onto the crypto space. I urge patience and calm trades.

This is actually a historic moment for the Indians. I am sure this would give birth to a number of Indian exchanges running in the markets also the current most widely used Indian market named wazirx also showed significant growth in its price which made is possible for a lot of investors from India to make quick profits.

This is really a great news and I am sure it would also affect the price for bitcoins as well as other coins. This might also motivate other countries to start adopting bitcoins or to start regulating those. What I can understand after reading various articles is that India has uplifted the ban on cryptocurrency trading which is really good enough.

It's good news and it will surely affect the market positively. There are lots of Bitcoin enthusiasts in the said country and they have been waiting for this perfect situation where they could buy and invest at a good price especially now that the halving is almost approaching. We all know that India has a huge number of crypto users and it will also benefit them if they will all resume investing and trading with cryptocurrency.

Coronavirus with regulations in India in my opinion is different in context. Coronavirus might affect the world economy but regulations in India could open the discourse of opening regulations in other countries. Hopefully the opening of regulations in India will open the door for large investors to invest in the cryptocurrency market

It's different, the virus is a disease, there's no good disease, all of them are bad! Lifting a ban from cryptocurrencies by one of the largest countries in the world is a good thing, for crypto community and in the end, it will be good for all the people. It's not hard to make a difference here, one is good and other is bad, why we would put these two in the same sentence in this context? What this virus showed is that it's better to use cryptocurrencies than cash, it's better to be your own bank and be protected than to exchange cash with other people, go to bank and risk to be infected.

I think we are already feeling it, the timing is good, after that news, less than 24 hours then bitcoin starts to rally, it reached $9,000 back again and we are staying at the current price with some good movement, maybe it has ignited and bitcoin good to go for a bullish prior to the halving time.

The ban lifting really makes Bitcoin recovers in less than 48hrs, this shows that India has a major role in crypto space too not just Korea and China, see how wazirx is doing now, the timing is just so right

This means a very big chunk of people is now going to enter in the crypto world. India has a very large amount of people who are involved in crypto and now more are going to come by others. You can see that the BTC market already gets some momentum after the news release. So it really positive news for Crypto world.

India is a big market for cryptocurrencies, and if the Indian government does not ban cryptocurrencies, it will surely go up in the future. But first we need to overcome the current pandemic, the corona epidemic has affected the entire economy in the world and could not develop well.

I think there will be a time when this situation will get better. You are right with most economies in the world not only India which is affected by the condition of the spread of this virus. but this will be overcome and the market will experience growth again.

This is more than good, it is a very good news amidst the current trending event (the virus). This news goes a long way in showing that the crypto space meant well for all humanity if only those in herm of affairs in the government that restricted crypto would take time to study it, just like India did. It also goes to show that gradually, people are getting to know the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrencies thus what the future holds. Therefore I can say, this news affected the crypto space positively and as time goes on there will be more positive things to experience..

I think I've seen this news before but just a glimpse. Anyway, this could be a good news, I guess everyone knows that India is one of the country that has the largest population. Hence, lifting the ban will for surely cause a great impact on the market. However, on the other hand, Corona Virus was still active in China and it had an impact on mining industry.

I think that the legality of crypto in India will not significantly affect the crypto market, so there is nothing to worry about. See news about this coronavirus which has attacked a large country until market conditions are still uncertain. Even though India has lifted the crypto ban I don't think there have been any major changes.

Not only in China, Corona is making Japan and Korea seriously affected. As far as I know, these are the 3 largest countries in Asia and have the largest number of investors in this market. Therefore, it has made this market become bleak in the past 1 month. If this market is to grow in this year, corona virus must first be destroyed

The first thing to take into account is the fact that news affects this space a lot, a good news brings good movement (pump) in the market and a bad news leads to bad movement as well that is dump. So in this case, lifting a ban on crypto is a very good news which will make other countries wonder why India took such steps and maybe follow suit. News comes with sentiment, but in this case since it is a good news new users will try to know what crypto is all about while already existing users will try more new things so as to benefit more from what crypto offers; which in all cases leads to more growth in the crypto space.

That's too early to expect any bullish run for now, but we need to look closely with the usual trend. I can only be confident when price will show faster change in less than an hour, then probably we will say it's a perfect signs for bullrun to start. Halving time will soon give us better future, let's just wait for that patiently and with determination.

it's clear in so many article that crypto is winning the case and any activity that related to the crypto will be running smoothly again. No more ban for crypto and the only problem for indian central bank to filter the illegal security asset. bitcoin can be traded on india forever. The ban is already lifted from crypto dude.

Good especially India has a big population that can surely affect bitcoin or the whole crypto space. And finally more video tutorials on youtube about crypto stuff, since people of India has been known to be a producer of tutorials, reviews about tech and stuff. Hence, would influenced large amount of people. Good of choice of their government though, I hope other countries who bans bitcoin/crypto on their country for ages be influenced by this great news India has. Well, anyway this news is worth more than anything as we can see newly people engaging into some crypto activities especially the India citizens.

Of course it is good but don't expect that just because of it the price of BTC and other crypto would suddenly go up.
This is a great news for the improvement of crypto industry and it is also a great publicity for us.

I am not so sure whether coronavirus really affect the crypto market, they say that others are afraid in holding a fiat because of the virus but fiat is necessary if you like to buy your needs and wants as digital asset is not yet fully implemented in most of the countries.

With regards to the ban that was lifted by India, this will surely affect the crypto market especially if the old traders and investors from India will start to resume their works again. Once the demand from India is a little bit high then it will help to push the market upward and it will continue especially if more people from India will become interested to crypto currencies.

Well, This news will have impact in price because many investors can freely buy bitcoin again and other crypto currency.  And I think we will see this when halving is near or after halving. That's why buy now while price is cheap.

Corona Virus - have impact also because many people will use crypto currency and other digital currency to use in buying thier daily needs instead of fiat currency because this is also reason why many peope get infected by virus.

Although it does not significantly affect price changes, the good news related to the legality of India and South Korea will have an extraordinary long-term effect for the adoption of blockchain in Asia. We know that India and South Korea are very open and caring for the development of the blockchain industry, several successful projects that I know of from the two countries include Matic, Content Protocol, etc. Some exchanges from South Korea also have a good reputation. In addition, the population of the two countries is quite large, with the support of such a government will increase the interest of the population there, this is very effective for the development of the crypto community.

You don't know what the ban was all about. It was like the Chinese ban that forbid financial institutions to work with cryptocurrencies and people to register crypto companies.

You would not go to jail for owning cryptocurrencies or selling some to someone for cash. You would be unable to register a company or get a credit if you had something to do with cryptocurrencies.

You also don't know how many countries legalized crypto. I can tell you that it's more than just South Korea.

We all also know that every country has sovereignty over the currencies it controls, so certain binding rules regarding the use of cryptocurrency must exist, so it must be understood. So that the meaning of legalization is very objective, depending on the relevant state regulations. However, India has strong market potential, many reliable developers come from there, the price competition is competitive, this is a very good opportunity.

This was not from last year, this is a recent news, India lift the ban on crypto and in fact we also have south Korea doing the same.

All top coin keeps going down and down. Some people started to believe that Ethereum could hits 200 USD.
ETH already hit $200, you can check that in cmc - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/

This could be effect of Corona virus, so lift effect showing in few months.
Maybe but we are going in a cash less worth, only few countries are affected with Corona Virus, so there is no negative major effect on bitcoin.

Yeah. I'm looking forward to how the market will go up again within the next few months. The crypto market is currently going down, maybe its last shakeout before the next bull market. The virus has already made a huge impact on the global economy. Which is not a good situation at all. I do not know how long this situation will last.
