Title: Bitcoin ATM Dublin
Post by: big_daddy on March 05, 2020, 03:02:14 PM
Are there more than (10 - ten) those listed on CoinATMRadar in the Dublin (Ireland) area?
The buying fee is my question, so I am trying to find the cheapest machine, if anyone knows a working machine in Dubln area with a buying fee less than 7%, please let me know

Tnx

I'm not from Ireland, but I don't think you'll find what you're looking for. Firstly, I've never seen a fuller overview than the one offered by CoinATMRadar. Secondly, even if there's another one, the chance that the fee will be different is very low (since more than ten have high fees if I understand correctly). Finally, the fees are generally high when it comes to ATMs, unfortunately. Because ATMs tend to have crazy fees, I don't use them at all even though there are some in my city. When I exchange BTC for local fiat I pay up to 5% fee (this includes Bitcoin transaction fee), so I see no reason to use an ATM. Let us know if you find a low-fee ATM, though. It's useful to know if they actually exist.

Found the first ever bitcoin atm machine here in my country however I never see anyone from here that posted about it so perhaps they have the same concern as you. As far as I know the crypto machine allows its user to buy and sell crypto which is owned by Unionbank placed at their headquarters only. I can't really imagine how the machine works, but I guess it will not be existential if it does unreasonable pricing for fees.

big_daddy, I think 10 crypto ATMs in Dublin is very nice number, some much larger countries have less than that number in total. I check few of them on map, and some have this info for Buy option "Fees: reporting disabled" so this is dead end. Only way is to contact them on listed e-mail and ask for fees, maybe they have some discount codes.

Maybe this link can help you : https://bitcoinsinireland.com/a-review-of-dublins-latest-bitcoin-ethereum-atm/

Thank You all for the suggestions

If I will find an ATM with a reasonable buying fee, I’ll let you know, cause localbitcoins is still a cheaper way to buy BTC  ::)

Idk if a bigger volume on those ATMs may have a reduction effect on those fees, or they have such big operating costs, but a ~7% is a high “tax” for me

BTMs tend to have outrageous fees. It's not just in Ireland, it's all over the world. I wouldn't recommend using them unless you need cash for an urgent matter. Besides, there are many alternative ways to buy bitcoin with better fees.

The best (lowest) fees are using a card or bank transfer to some exchange, but my intention is to load some cash, and that’s the main problem
The cash-to-crypto gateway is nowdays the worst (more expensive) way to transform fiat into crypto
