Title: Are there Crypto projects Not on Bitcointalk forum
Post by: BayAngelo on March 06, 2020, 12:02:40 PM
There are over 7000 cryptocurrencies currently trading on different exchanges. most of these cryptos have public members that are known to many while some have hidden members behind the project which are red alert for investors.
Could there be any cryptocurrency currently exiting without having a post here on Bitcointalk. I know there are many that have not updated their thread due to scam.

Of course they are. Having a bitcointalk announcement is not a "must have".
Even established projects like Ripple, Ontology, Tehter, OmiseGo, and many non top 100 projects doesn't have a bitcointalk.org thread.

There are few coins which don't have any bitcointalk announcement and the most funny part is that they don't even have any blockchain existence. Yeah I am talkinh about the shit scam coin of yobit which is created out of thin air for the sole purpose of scamming some newbie traders.

Only those projects that are afraid to get caught and dubious projects that are afraid land their announcement thread in the scam sections will not launch their or do an announcement here,Bitcointalk is the best forum to launch any Cryptocurrency related projects, this is where investors and traders look for new project, and this is where they can find bounty hunters that will market their project.

Currently, there are 5164 cryptos got trading volume and price so there maybe some projects don't have any announcement threads on Bitcointalk. There are some altcoin forums too which were created mostly for promoting shit coins so if you want to find shittiest project then you can find on other forums.

Bitcointalk forum doesn't a necessity when making a cryptocurrency-related project as there are good companies that can market well and have investors without the help of any of online platforms as it would give a better possibility that their project would be legitimate with also real and trusted investors. Ripple was the best example as it doesn't even had any promotion in the forum. But with the current projects, no one knows unless those projects would somehow post on any of the social media websites or be a project helped by a huge companies or founded by famous personalities.

Bitcointalk is a social media, somehow. It is a different social media but it is one.

Depending on the customers of your project, like ripple which wants to target banks, there is no need to have social media accounts or announcement here.

If there is no bitcointalk ann i think there will be some topic discussions about it , if we do a search then there will be some sort of discussion on that project whether its good or bad someone would have wrote a topic

Not necessarily. Some projects may not have the resource to manage a service thread here on bitcointalk and keeping it active or may want complete monopoly for their project and would not want to be classified as just another alternative coin.
We see a daily dose of scams here on the forum, so being caught may not be much of a deterrent.

Some exchange ask official bitcointalk announcement thread during list of a coin. But unfortunately most of exchanges aren't required bitcointalk official thread, so all projects do not make official thread here. But in my opinion all exchange should require bitcointalk official thread since they could read lots of public discussion here and could determine this project should list or not. I will not surprised even if I see a exchange hadn't met with forum. Especially most of IEO do not create their official thread here. They thought that exchange will do everything for them, but they are really missing a great crypto community.

These projects may not have an announcement thread here but their investors and their supporters are posting their coins here,  if the project is good and had potential in the market people are going to post it here, a simple question asking for a good project is not enough for the project to be drop here, some projects are also not making an announcement here and these are scam projects, they are afraid to get caught.

Are there crypto projects on the forum? I’m always searching but I only see people making statistics based things that look at users and blockchains along with worthless shitcoins. It’s pretty rare for any project to actually exist on the Bitcoin blockchain. Even the exchanges are just bucket shops these days. Back in 2012 actual projects were everywhere. Luckily nobody seems to have noticed the massive decline in real value and are happy with the current Greater Fool Theory fueling higher prices over the last half decade.

Some crypto projects avoid listing and posting on bitcointalk forum because they will get under scanner of many people and scam busters.
They don't want to risk that, so they avoid bitcointalk or they have other ideas, and think that forum is independent forum is not important so they make their own forum.

Yes there are some crypto projects that are not in bitcointalk forum. Some are in other crypro forum. I think you already know there is another crypto forum out there. Ib my opinion, some crypto projects not on any forum is I think that they are very shady projects and most likely are going to scam their investors or participants in their project.

Only those potential scam project will not post their project or create an announcement thread here, why would they when they are going to be investigated, but if the project is really that good, he will create an announcement here and will even launch a bounty campaign because a legit is open for questioning and investigation, because they are legit.

There is some Crypto project that won't even bother to make some Announcement thread because their project has enough popularities to gather investors all around the world. Like for example the Libra Coin project by Facebook and if I'm not mistaken, they didn't make some announcement topics and users in this community talk about this project in some certain board in the forum. so, yes, there are some exceptions like this one.

this sounds a lot like excuses that scams coins would make to justify the fact that they don't have any announcements on bitcointalk while the real reason is because they know their scam would be caught and exposed a lot faster on bitcointalk than anywhere else due to large number of "scam busters" that are active on this forum.
otherwise they don't need any "resources" to announce their project on bitcointalk, there is no cost and they don't need to spend every minute of every day here answering questions!

Some might think they will get traction if they ANN on such huge platforms. But, moderators would ban such users and delete the treads if they get report that the project is fake.

More often platforms like telegram are most likely to be used for spamming instead of platforms like Bitcointalk.

There are some, some of these projects have their own forum and had their own community and they will just target their community and will just open a thread later on here, investors should also look on other platforms besides Bitcointalk if they are looking for a project to invest.
