I found a small display bug in my trust, I don't know if you can see it. It was quite interesting  :D

I started to detect this bug ever since I used BPIP to view my profile there, and there is a big difference here:

LoyceV trust list viewer for me is Light Green with 1 positive trust, but in my profile, it's zerooooooooooooo  :D
I thought that BPIP data was wrong for some reason. But when I looked closer, it was not due to BPIP, it was due to Bitcointalk  ;D

It is an unbelievable difference LOL  ;D ;D How did that happen? Honestly, it doesn't matter if that positive trust is credible or not, but it's an bug shown here, an interesting bug that I've never heard of anyone making. I want to hear from you about it, or any of your understandings.

And the only neutral you are seeing is because of your personal trust setting. Not sure if I got you by the way.

It's not a bug. That "=1" means you have a neutral feedback from a DT member. And indeed you have - it is the one from nutildah.

The positive feedback isn't shown as green as it wasn't given by someone from DT.

What you see on your profile is not the same with what other see at your profile, depending on the trust list everyone created. On BPIP is taken into consideration the Default Trust list. But if you (or others) have a custom trust list, you'll see a different score.

With other words: if you would have ~distrusted nutildah (just as an example), you wouldn't see his / her neutral feedback reflected as "=1". But on BPIP you'll see the neutral there, as BPIP is based on DT. Or: users who don't have distrusted nutildah and also who didn't create a custom trust list (having set only the Default Trust), would see also that "=1". But you would see something different.

That is if I understood correctly the problem.

I think you're right at this point, except that snarlpill's feedback isn't credible even if my trust setting is default trust  :D I just established my personal trust a month ago, which means that I was working with the default setting before, I never had +1 positive trust before (quite ashamed) :D

I understand what you mean, just as explained above, I understand the basics of trust systems on this forum  ;) The only difference is that my default trust seems to be changed since I started making the settings  :D

snarlpill is in DefaultTrust (level 2) due to being included by TECSHARE. You don't include TECSHARE in your custom trust list so the positive trust rating you got from snarlpill is not shown as "trusted" to you but it is "trusted" to those who use DT, including BPIP and LoyceV's trust viewer.

Not a bug, works as designed.


TECSHARE was not in DT1 in January and February so at that time snarlpill was not in DT2 either.

Does that mean snarlpill has been on the trusted list from last week? I check BPIP regularly and positive beliefs have only been there since last week. Weeks further than before, the LoyceV trust list viewer for me is neutral, not light green  :D

Well, so a chain effect happens here, while I'm not trusting TECSHARE because of some of his recent statements, so I can't see the positive trust from snarlpill. Thanks for your great explanation!

Yes, TECSHARE got into DT1 on March 1st so that's when snarlpill's trust rating started showing as "trusted" with DefaultTrust settings.

I don't know why he can return to DT1 after fallen  ::) Objectively, it is a good thing for my trust display, but subjectively, I will still keep my current trusted setup  :D because it does not affect the default trust

Well you really should not tell such things in public. You can have different opinion but saying such things in public seems very disrespectful toward an old-timer like tecshare.

DT1 members are rotated on a monthly basis.  Theymos posted the most recent list of DT1 members here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117330.msg53944515#msg53944515

Tecshare has enough member votes to be included on DT1.  However, other DT1 members can exclude him and that will drop him from the DT1 pool.   Prior to this month he had more DT1 member excluding him than he had including him.  As of today his inclusions and exclusions are the same, so his DT1 score is 0.  As long as it's equal to, or greater than 0 he will remain on DT1.

Although the topic was off, but you had another great explanation for me, it helped me to better understand the trust system, so thank you very much. I think I should lock this topic right now instead of announcing it off  :D I don't want some guys to repeat what you guys have explained to increase the post  :D
