Title: wallet to wallet xfer - funds stuck somewhere???
Post by: 74whyhim!++ on March 09, 2020, 08:07:21 PM
I'm a beginner!

Sent $400 from my electrum wallet to another wallet address over a week ago. Funds still haven't appeared in that wallet.

The outputs from the electrum ewallet are:

1G588PwNw5A5pJUQyoR6PiyMzNpn6zXCTp        0.00041351
3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee        0.045

Number of confirms is over 1500 and climbing.

What options do I have?

Txs for any help..

Do you own the other address? If so, which software are you using? Is it also Electrum?

What is the other wallet? And what was the address you attempted to send to?

Was it either 1G588PwNw5A5pJUQyoR6PiyMzNpn6zXCTp or 3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee? ???

It's possible that:

- Your other wallet isn't synced correctly
- You have sent to the wrong address (clipboard virus or simply a bad copy/paste)
- The other wallet is a scam (dark net market place etc) and/or is just broken

Can you provide more info?

Which one is your wallet?
What's the hash of your transaction?

Your balance is gone of your wallet?

Here is the transaction OP is referring to: b18ee1991771223cd7e2fdbbe17429f5c473c368ff9d4a1a358d6543ab3d5e49

The 0.00041351 BTC sent to the 1... address was spent around 15 minutes ago in this transaction: 60502bb8815b1676c75e524ffa7e8480b651c41d953486cbd13f78db5b68db6e
The 0.045 BTC sent to the 3... address was spent 5 days ago in this transaction: b5a0f5d1e16b95992256e7e9f5c1dd6b09fe5a54364a6a1c15efbf02c07b3aa5

Meaning either OP has figured out his issue and has accessed/synced the wallet in question and move the coins, or has been a victim of a hack/attack/clipboard malware/etc.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm overwhelmed.
The other wallet is for a web site. The address was 3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee. It is not another electrum wallet.
I'm running win 10 and accessing the site thru an alternate browser.
The $400 was taken out of my electrum wallet.
I'm not sure where to find the hash??
The funds never made it to the web wallet. Are they gone forever??
Do I have any options?

The address was 3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee.
Log in to your web wallet and double check that the address - 3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee - is definitely correct.

Your funds have categorically been sent to, and been received by, that address. If that address is correct, and you can't see your funds, then that is an issue with the web wallet and its interface/database. The only people that can help you with that are the owners of the web wallet, so you will need to contact their support.

What website you are talking about? Can you tell us so that we know that if you sent it to a legit website?

The $400 was taken out of my electrum wallet.
What exactly you did? You sent or it was taken out from your wallet by someone?
Just confused about your first post.

I'm not sure where to find the hash??
You can find the hash under history tab it looks like this below
https://bitcoinbestbuy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/transactions-history-on-electrum-wallet.png
Double click the transaction you are talking about and you will find the hash on the top
it looks like this

The funds never made it to the web wallet. Are they gone forever??
Do I have any options?

I don't know if it's gone forever but if you can share with us what web wallet you are talking about it might be a bug in their system.
So tell us what website and what exactly your Bitcoin address from Electrum and Transaction ID.

If you are sure you sent to the right address and to the real empire (and not a phishing website), then all you can do is wait for them to help you.

Why not tell us what web wallet you are talking about?

If you don't tell us we are just guessing here if you are using a legit web wallet or not. But if you can tell us about the site we can find a solution to your problem and to confirm if you are using a phishing site.

Empire on DW? Never heard a wallet name like that I searched on Google but it doesn't exist.

I don't know how did you found this website but I believe that you sent BTC to a phishing website which is never been mention here on the forum.
So, there is no way to recover your bitcoins from this phishing website. Bitcoin is not the same as PayPal that you can dispute and reverse the transaction. Once it sent to other address it can't be able to reverse the transaction.

Dude, Empire is a Dark Web market and not a wallet. It's a website you access with Tor to *usually* buy drugs, accounts, etc... just like the famous Silk Road.

OP, if you don't mind, you can PM me the URL of the mirror you used so I can see if it it's real or not (I'm not sure if you can publicly post that here).

site says that addy is associated with my user id.
You can see the activity of that address here: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee. It is highly active, and has received 62 deposits since it was first seen being used 2 months ago.

There is no chance that this address is unique to your user ID, unless you have sent bitcoin to it 62 times (which I doubt). The fact that it is receiving bitcoin almost daily means that whoever is in control of it is displaying the same address to a number of different people, who are all believing that address is linked to their account. There is no way someone could track who all the different deposits are coming from and credit the individual users correctly.

So yes, you have almost certainly been scammed. Send a message to their support if they have one, but I wouldn't be holding your breath I'm afraid.

Look, I was surfing on reddit, and this is from 4 hours ago:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Electrum/comments/fgf1mq/electrium_to_empire/

The same problem of OP, someone trying to figure out what happened to transaction to this "empire"

Doesn't look the same.

In OP's case, the deposit address was already used and there's no activity whatsoever in Empire's side.
Pretty much a case of fake URL.

In that Reddit link, the OP mentioned that it was labeled as unconfirmed by Empire but removed later;
the deposit address wasn't used before, just to receive and send once.
Looks like an error on Empire (legitimate site).
