Title: Silk Road Post by: funnysandwitch on November 19, 2011, 06:52:31 PM Using Tor. Is the site still down as the page says?
Visited about a week ago and since haven't been back on. Clueless. Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: Ryland R. Taylor-Almanza on November 19, 2011, 07:50:40 PM Worked for me when I went on yesterday.
Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: Imgone25 on November 20, 2011, 02:03:44 AM Yeah im currently on it and everything seems fine.

Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: apso on December 10, 2011, 06:07:44 PM Discussion about sites is fine, directing people there isn't. Sorry(i'm still a newbie, after all ;D ) Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: hiker on December 11, 2011, 08:03:29 PM What's the reason for changing their address?
Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: blachskies on December 12, 2011, 04:53:08 AM Too many phishing sites that were posing as the Silk Road. The new URL is a bit easier to identify.
Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: 0ni0ns on December 13, 2011, 09:24:53 AM The new onion address begins with "silkroad....onion"
Google for the hidden wiki and find it through there ;) Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: Flip Tulipcoin on December 14, 2011, 12:32:38 AM The new onion address begins with "silkroad....onion" Interesting message at what appears to be the login page of Silk Road re: The Hidden WikiGoogle for the hidden wiki and find it through there ;) Before you login, make sure you came here from a trusted link and are at the official Silk Road .onion url and not some password phishing clone. If you suspect you have ever logged in through a phishing site (especially the hidden wiki), you should change your password asap. The Hidden Wiki has been much abused by hijackers. Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: casascius on December 14, 2011, 05:27:53 AM Hey Luke Jr...
you should embed the address for Silk Road into the block chain =) like your Catholic prayers. Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: axelj on December 14, 2011, 06:23:27 AM up right now
Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: grahamgreene on December 14, 2011, 02:52:04 PM Instead of bookmarking the new address as they advise you to do, I think it would be more secure to keep your Tor bookmarks in a text file that's encrypted with a GPG client. Much safer, especially if you don't want anyone knowing which sites you visit.
:) Title: Re: Silk Road Post by: Global BTC on December 14, 2011, 09:25:29 PM Silk Road's address is available from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Road_(marketplace) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Road_(marketplace)) However, please note: Be cautious using a wiki as a source for a link. A wiki is a resource anyone can edit, and anyone does edit. Wikis are frequently edited to lead to phishing sites. Silk Road is a popular target for this.
