Title: What methods are the most effective at the moment?

There are many different ways to alternative energy. What methods are the most effective at the moment?

Imagine a situation that some kind of crisis or some global catastrophe happens, life is not the same as before. You live somewhere on your land with other people (a small community and something like that). Of course you can live without electricity - but this is very primitive. Suppose all technologies remain, even some factories and corporations work (but in much smaller volumes). Centralized electricity doesn't work or almost doesn't work. How to receive electricity most rationally in this case, in your opinion?
My opinion is that the cheapest and the best way is a special stove, which gives heat in the house and generates 5 kilowatts of electricity at a time. As fuel, you can use wood or coal. Trees can generally be grown on their own so as not to harm the environment (there are special types of trees that grow 10 times faster than ordinary trees, like special poplars or paulownia).

I think the most basic electricity generators would do.
To be honest, it is important to learn how to build the generators just incase something happens to backup generators. Information and knowledge on how to build these things would be very valuable. I would download alot of easy-to-understand materials on how to build them and generate electricity. Blockchain/decentralized networks would also be useful in this regard... because typical internet could become too regulated/restrictive in the future.
