The market have withstood a lot in the past but what is happening right now is something unexpected,because of this the market crashed by over 50% do you think the market can recover if this scenario worsen and last for several months, what could be the possible solution here in the market.

Perhaps you should try looking at the bitcoin history as a good example.
From 20k to 3k and then back to 14k and then 6k again.
That should explain everything.
Remember that it is still in a volatile market and it will happen for a long time.
Maybe even at the time when we are not breathing anymore.

But if you have stable coins then it wont be a problem. Stay with that and you wont see any drop in value.  ;D

This is not the worst blow crypto market has received. It had overcame specified attacks and accusations while the current one is a general economic disaster. Crypto would surely come out of it stronger. And there will be more effort to ditch the cash as currency and could boost interest on digital money including crypto.

The 2018 was even worse. From $19k down and bottomed to $3k so we are in the situation which is finely better than 2018's. The solution is don't panic for each individual and determine yourself and what percentage of fear you have right now.
2018 has recovered up to last year and if that happened in the past, it's obvious that we will recover from this crash. It may not be quick but it will after several months or next year.

This is really a big test for crypto, I mean we have been preaching that it is a safe haven, unfortunately the covid-19 scenario proved otherwise as the market crashes to almost or over 50% as you have seen. Crypto is still in its early stage, still infant as compare to other global and traditional market, but even those markets are also affected. So I guess no one is immune, when the economy of the world is at stake, everyone is affected, even crypto market.

So far this is the good answer to the question of the OP and it will be satisfied most of the users who ask this kind of question. On my side, there will be no doubt that the market will recover from this crisis and everything will gonna be just fine. If you see some people rushing to sold their Altcoins in the midst of this crisis, don't join them and let it slide now. maybe after this month, everything will return back to normal.

Market is depend buyer and seller, we don't have control about it. The simple way is keep use crypto for your activity but must choose the right one, such as trade using daily method, invest with medium time and saving bitcoin in our wallet for up trend. Market will survive but not with the users, some of them choose cut loss and lost value. Market will recover after halving, we only need to use the product, that's it.

Yeah I agree this is where stable coin play a crucial rule, maybe this is circumstances where we can value stable coins I am also very optimistic, a technology like this will not die easily, we can compare it to the internet that will go on and evolve, Cryptocurrency is here to stay and for good.

Can you compared what just happened to that of the 2018/2019 market crashed? The market has seen worst and today it's still active. Although what just happened was never expected as everyone or most enthusiast thought bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry at large was a save heaven against any economy breakdown but that wasn't the case as the panic also made its way into the industry.

Why I strongly believe the market is going to recover is the fact, we're not the only industry been affected. The whole economy is under attack by the fud been spreading as a result of Corona virus.

It might recover along side other market or takes its own part since until last week I haven't experienced any scenario where the cryptocurrency market follows the trend of other market. It was definitely a surprising experience but also an opportunity to get your hands on some valuable coin for a bargaining price.

Too late staying with stable coins for now since Bitcoin already dropped, I don't mind holding my Bitcoin till 2021, value matter less to me, I care about getting more Bitcoin than what they are sold for today

Quoting the above two as the best answer for anyone who has any doubts about the existing situation. Things were far worse after than what we are seeing now in early 2018. I remember febuary 2018 Bitcoin price went below $3k and it went back to $14k after few months.

Right now it's not, but Bitcoin will be a safe haven. As you said the Crypto Market is in its early stage. Its relatively very small compared to the Forex and Stock Markets. That's the reason the Crypto market is highly volatile. Once the adoption increases in the future, the volatility will be very less compared to the present and Bitcoin will be a safe haven even better than Gold.

To answer OP's question, I'm not sure whether the market will recover within a few days/weeks or its takes a longer duration. But I am 100% certain the crypto market will recover.

Bitcoin have died more than a hundred times before and yet still breathing, watching my portfolio today I realise I'm not that rich crypto kid anymore but doesn't bother me a inch, I'm even in sad mood because I don't have more money to keep buying BTC

This is the first time we experienced an event like this when cryptocurrency has been used worldwide already and this is a good thing because we know already what can happen to it when things like this will happen again in the future.

All markets that goes down will recover but it will take time for it to happen. If the virus hype will be gone in a few months, markets will start to recover and those position traders who accumulated any kind of asset right now will enjoy their profit. I didn't expect this TBH but I believe that crypto and all the markets will recover in no time.

Everyone of this forum even for all crypto user will have the same thing. The price of crypto especially bitcoin can be increased again. We know at this year bitcoin will meet halving event and that is why bitcoin price has increased a lot at the beginning of this year. Which I mean, if this situation back to normal the there are many chances for bitcoin price is up again, you may know when bitcoin price up then we will see another cryptocurrency will up as well. So, we just only hope that this situation will be end quickly and the people come back and buy cryptocurrency as they want.

I am sure that this is only a temporary drop and soon the cryptocurrency market will begin to grow again, because we all understand that it is very easy for manipulators to manipulate the cryptocurrency market and earn millions and billions, and therefore the cryptocurrency market will still grow a lot of times.

The dump already happened a lot of times in the market as you could see in the price graph of bitcoin. For sure a lot of investors are already used to this kind of dump in the market as well. yes history is repeating itself under different circumstances now .. back in January 2017 crash, people were wondering about same things which we are seeing now. Can the crypto market ever recover? Unlike the last couple of times, crypto really isn't just a "person" industry anymore. There are plenty of major corporations that have started to invest in Bitcoin and blockchain technology so it is safe to assume that we will definitely recover this time also lets see when this happens in the mean time HODL!

Everything already happens now in the Cryptocurrency, but this is one of the worst, all it took was less than  24 hours to crash the market of over half it's previous value, I like the market to get back on it's feet on this great trial so we can prove that this technology can withstand even a Pandemic.

This situation is unexpected to us but we have no hand over this. Maximum share markets of the world has dumped and so this crypto market also did same. This is panic and if this situation will exists, we have to face more worse point but we have experienced many ups and downs in the past and crypto market especially Bitcoin and ETH recovered.

Market will always go back and may rise again. But the current situation of this pandemic is really alarming.

There are a lot of unconfirmed reports that we may be close to getting the vaccine for the deadly epidemic. If this is true, then we will see a quick recovery in the market. I don't pray for the health crisis to linger on, it's too deadly. Hopefully  it should be gone in 21 days and respite with come to the world again. 

I do not think the price of Bitcoin will increase significantly in the coming months. With the stock market, the value of cryptocurrencies has decreased, but that is not the end of crypto. We must be patient, and the BTC historian gives us high hopes that the situation will recover, but not in a few months. However, investments in BTC are long-term investments, so we don't have to worry.

I do not think or see this situation as a market trial or challenge, its normal to have downtrend for a while in the crypto sphere.
So i just see this as the normal bearish moments that crypto currency usually experiences.

I think even if crypto market sustains these prices for few weeks untill corovirus is controlled it would be great achievement and it will set the platform for market surge when everything gets back to normal and people come out of panic and start business as usual.

In the past the price of bitcoin were fell from $20,000 to $3000 in the long bearish trend of 2017 to 2019 beginning its like 85% price fell from the all time high but crypto currencies able to manage and survive up to $10,000 in the recent days and possible it might reached next level if there is no corona outbreak but everything happened in no time so it take time even months or years to recover but it will,hopefully. :)

It actually has not seen worse because a 40% decline in one day is one of the worst if not the worst. Even when Bitcoin was falling down from 20 thousand it came back to 15 and then fell to 10 days later. This time it was like falling straight down.

Most of the drop took maybe 10 minutes which is strange. Like there was completely no liquidity. It looked like around 10 thousand Bitcoins took the price down on Bitstamp by 3000 dollars. Very unusual. I'd understand if it was 500 thousand but 10?

I held my coins but we can see how weak the market is thanks to exchanges that allow leveraged trading based on USDt. They're buyilding a house of cards that can disappear in a minute.

The market has been very bloody and this could be the best opportunity to fill one's bag but sadly, people are scared of the unknown as per the direction of this Covid-19, and its long impact on the market. Bitcoin has been rising and falling. No one can tell how this pandemic will go but if vaccine comes out on time, we should see a quick market recovery.

The problem is how the crypto market will sustain these prices? can you provide a way that you know to sustain prices on the crypto market? because the crypto market is very difficult to control, and even the exchange parties themselves are not all able to control the crypto market.

Of course it can, we have dropped from 20k to 3k before, this is basically nothing compared to something like that. I personally prefer it when prices could actually do mild moves, even if it is down doesn't matter like the time we moved from 10k to 7.5k was fine with me, those are correction level stuff we can overcome to go back up. However, when bitcoin price moves like this, it becomes a challenge for me. I am not sure if it will go up right away, or a bit later, or slowly or rapidly like I get no clue.

All the above, one thing I am 100% sure is we will overcome this, the world finances overcame A LOT bigger stuff, most recently 2008 was even worse, so this is probably a bad moment, we will probably get something horrible, but in the end we will recover and we will do a lot better.

The crypto space is going through a lot this period. Towards the beginning of the 2020, a lot of people have their hopes that the crypto space would recover from from its downtrends. However, the year 2020 seem to be another tough time for the crypto space as the world marke, crypto market inclusive is plaque by this Corona Virus effect. As if the whole dump is not enough, just few days ago, Russia's Central Bank seeks to ban crypto issuance and circulation. I really do hope crypto overcomes this trials.

People who invested are weakened but not the people who interested.Check the bitcoin purchase orders still people are trying to buy more bitcoins but for cheaper prices so those orders are still in pending.In the near future things will get change so accumulate or hold your cryptos if you don' want to lose your profits.

Yes. The market will recover in the coming months. If we think about 2018 then we can understand how long it takes to recover the market. The dump of 2018 was larger than the previous market dump. So no need to be too panic here. From now on, the preparations for the next market up.

The crypto market is one which have great value and potential, so what it is facing now, I don't think it is enough to crash it totally. Yes the market is down but from time past, it has always withstand many bad case scenarios so I don't see this as any different. Just like you pointed out, yes this time it's different owing the virus spreading across the world but not only the crypto market is affected in this case, stock market isn't left out and we all know the stock market will bounce back as well once everything starts settling down. for now the price of bitcoin is currently down 50%, but we have to look at the history of bitcoin when the price of bitcoin goes down there is a possibility that in a few months it will rise again and I hope for this year it will happen again.

I do not think this is a crash we can worry about, its little compared to what we have faced in the crypto space.
And the market definitely will stand this trial and surpass it as well.

Bitcoin once went from 20000 to 3500, so 10,000 to 4800 is not a huge crash, i believe its a reset to give a chance to recoup if we want too.

Sincerely speaking, it is an unexpected event all caused by the virus rampaging everywhere. But, if we can take a time to study the crypto space there are many things that can be learnt of which one is that the crypto space has come to be, that is, it has come to be with us. The market was even worsen last year but still crypto market had managed to survived. Things will be back to normal after this pandemic. Just stay calm and don't jump into panic selling because it will really make you lose more. Be patient and wait until you see the market start to be stable again and seeing altcoins and bitcoin pumping again.

They are still wasting their money to solve a lot of problems caused by the corona virus and the world economy is still on the big crisis dude. the market is currently in very poor condition, including weak and insignificant cryptoqurrency prices. but I realize that this market situation is a form of demand and supply in the market, on the one hand the emergence of the corona virus has affected the price of crypto now. maybe if this virus can be cured maybe the market can get better soon.

Only those who dont have patience can be affected by up and down market. Yes volatility is always there and this virus is the source of its collapse. But once this issue has been resolve I think everything  will go back to normal. Dont forget we are near btc halving this could somehow drag the market of it up. Well same in the case of altcoins once btc go up.

Yes, that is right. But I don't think that the market will be at these situations for a long time because this will end, and the rise of the cryptocurrency will happen. It is just for temporary, and we will see the market will recover, and everything will be fine. You can see that the market have a green candle now, and we hope that it will be strong than before, although there is still a chance to see the market will get another red candle. But I suppose if the red candle is coming, that is just for adjusting the price. After that, the price will continue to hit the ATH again.

Of course no,  all of traders and investors in all financial market are affected and that is why there is a dump that happening in all types of market. Talking about solutions, the only solution for the current conditions is to wait until things return to normal. this decline has a cause, and that cause not only affects bitcoin. in addition, a decline like this also often occurs in previous years, before prices rise again. however, to respond to problems like this, we just need to focus on finding ways to have even more assets.

For the last more than 10 years this market suffers from so many HArdships but still standing strong.
This pandemic may damage the flow of the value but it will not stay forever,we did survived the baddest year of 2018-2019 so how can't we fight this 2020 with a Halving incoming?

As during any recession, the best thing that can be done is to try to preserve as many of your assets as possible by the time the recession reaches its lowest point, and at this point make an asset purchase. Don't worry about the market falling 50 percent during this troubled times.its not just something that happening in the crypto markets its happening to all the markets including the well established stick markets in developed nations and even gold which is considered safe haven is falling.

That was the reason why the market is stronger now, in fact when it down 50%, it bounces back and starting to recover, soon the price will rise to $7,000 and that's where the hype will begin again. Why people worried about the dump? because they are weak, they are newbie, they don't realize that bitcoin never died, it always recovers and once again bitcoin is proving it to us.

I agree with you, the entire cryptocurrency market have seen worse down movement and it rose higher, I'm sure it will do that again. There's no need to panic as not just cryptocurrency market is going down currently, it's the whole world. This market has collapsed many times in the past, and until now the market still exists and develops. Yes, it can purely because there's actually a lot of interest from not only retail investors but institutions waiting to pounce when the price hits the right range so expect heavy accumulation under $5,000 and sell off once again if it goes up steeply but overall a plus at this stage (remember what happened last halving)

This is a gradual process as the market is already coming up little by little and hopefully before bitcoin halving things should come back and normalise and supposed to. Do you guys know really why people say "wait" when they are talking about the price going up in price? I don't know the exact reason, I can't tell you why waiting is the best thing to make a profit in bitcoin, not a concrete data that I can show you.

However I have one assumption, it is because bitcoin is volatile, we can be 3k or 11k and anything in between for the next 6 months for example, by September or so we could once again drop and go up and drop and go up. It means if you buy from any price that is not super high, like 20k during 2017 or something, eventually you will probably get profit, maybe it will take 6 months but you will get a profit since it goes up AND down so you can lose some money if you are unlucky but if you wait you can turn it into profit.

The market is holding a good, recent trip to over $10k proves that! Many altcoins recorded a nice rise in the last few weeks too, last night drop doesn't concern me, after every rise it's natural for me to expect a drop, it's going with experience, more time you spend here you get more used to fluctuations, temporary rises and drops, all that is normal in crypto!

When this happens, people who are optimistic, particular those who sell high and buy low will keep making their profits. Even if you forget to sell when it was high, you can still buy more at a low price, peradventure the money is available and when it rises again, you can take your profit. Indeed the crypto market is very difficult for us to predict even things that we never imagined can happen in a while, then if we already understand the crypto market up and down price it is a regular thing but for now the market is good and we have to make good use of it.

We already had a sharp drop a few months back. The prices declined by more than 60% (from $10,100 to $4,100) between mid-February and mid-March. But then, the exchange rates recovered to the previous levels thanks to the hype surrounding the block reward halving. If we look at the longer picture, the current prices are much higher when compared to the levels we had for most of 2018 and the first half of 2019.

Based on the history of bitcoin and the rest, I don't think there is anything new here. The cryptocurrency market have been known for something, volatility. This might continue that way because that is the nature of cryptocurrency. We just need to be wise.

current market conditions are falling and will usually recover prices and the effect of halving bitcoin that can make the exchange conditions become crowded again, so at least take advantage of the moment of the collapse of cryptocurrency prices to buy as much as you can.

You have to look at the experience of the previous year where Crypto market prices as it has become a habit, I see every 4 years the market price always decreases dramatically, but then increases dramatically after that. That is a natural thing in the Crypto world. Now we see, that the market is still standing and I'm sure it will survive.

Well, it gives me no stress thinking of Bullrun to show up again. Besides, we are experiencing multiple dumps and trials before, in fact, it was worse that today. But look at, we are still alive and until there is market demand, we still have a chance to see back the horizon again. We don't need to be optimistic and think about another ATH just to prove something but having the market working on, it is good enough to say that we are still worthy of the trust.

We did returned from that 50% fall and now taste another 11% drop so i think that we will be in this for couple of times before the max effect of halving becomes dominant.
\we cannot just compared the market today than those in the previous because we are in Halving now and this is too far from the normal years.

I think we can just evaluate what this Pandemic effect and the reaction of the market in the next months.

Recovery is a certainty as long as this space remains. What we are not sure of is when it will happen. But over the years it always happens only for the patience that can hold for the time duration of the ups and downs.

Bitcoin has been through going from 20k all time high price to 3k bottom, that is a HUGE drop that no altcoin has recovered from, ethereum was around 1500 dollars and reached to 200 dollars just recently, was even lower, around 100 dollars and last year bottomed at around 80 dollars for a while.

So, as you can see the market has always been something horrible already, I do not think that there are people who would look at the market right now and think that this is much worse compared to those times. This is even better because all other markets will be hurt whereas bitcoin will be on the same playing field whereas that one was just crypto and everything else was doing fine. Hence I think if we came over that time and peaked over 10k again and even reached to 14k once, I think we can recover from this as well, we even probably already did as well.
