Title: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently?
Post by: Nadziratel on March 21, 2020, 06:43:50 AM
With the retreat in the price of Bitcoin, this question started to come to my mind. I personally mostly like trading with ETH. I think both liquidity and mobility are faster. However, as a result of the price decrease experienced in the previous weeks, we have seen that the balances we tried to earn are rapidly melting against the USD.

I think we need to completely separate the crypto money we buy for investment and the crypto money we use for gambling. Personally, from this point on, I will use as many USDTs as possible for gambling.

Actually most gambling site utilize the use of major coin such as btc, eth and sometime usdt but majority uses bitcoin. We cant comprehend the usage of such coin and suddenly shift from another coin just because we experience price melt down. Even gambling sites bleed to death as the value of their capital turn down due to crash of market. Why do you think usage of usdt could altered the effects of gambling? Though even using btc you just adjusted with the market tag price.

Most casinos use famous coins listed in exchanges such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, etc. Even if the market were to crash so badly, I doubt they would change such usages since a market crash would most likely affect every coin out there. Sides, the USD conversion changes depending on the price after all so I doubt there would be much changes.

I use mostly Bitcoin and Ethereum, depending on what I have on me at the time. If I have both, then I just pretty much just alternate between the two, or maybe just a whatever moment and use either. Not much difference tbh. As for separating the investment and the gambling, I mostly convert my current USD to crypto then gambling. I don't use my current investment in crypto in gambling. I kind of have different notions between the two, hence the separation.

Personally, I don't like to gamble with cryptos that has a great potentiality to grow in value such as ETH, BTC.
I mostly consider them as a digital asset and I try to keep them stored in my wallet in whole portions. I used to gamble with DOGE, or TRX coins that have big circulation supply and their value is considered more stable to my eyes.

I think we need to completely separate the crypto money we buy for investment and the crypto money we use for gambling. Personally, from this point on, I will use as many USDTs as possible for gambling.

First, money for gambling should always be separated from money for investment, money for expenses, money for savings, and so on. Money for gambling should be the least priority, if at all.

Second, if you gamble with USDT, what's the significant difference with using USD? I admit I haven't tried using USDT for gambling. Even the sound of it seems a little strange in a gambling site for me. I cannot remember playing at a casino or betting site accepting USDT.

By the way, I mostly use the leading altcoins for gambling.

At this point, while crypto market had crushed the price. I prefer to use cryptocurrency like Bitcoin or altcoins but first I need to use my fiat to purchase cryptocurrency. You will see the difference on it by its value and I don't use USDT or any stable coins. But this time I won't do gambling since we are still facing pandemic and for sure some of our fellow gamblers had to feel the economic crisis.

However, using a stable coin is just like you are using your fiat because that was the same value of USD.

I usually gamble using BTC as my preferred cryptocurrency option. It's flexibility and privacy increases its utility. But during a crash such as this, I would rather not take out from my stash to gamble, instead, I'll buy Bitcoin in real-time through a trusted exchange to try and maintain the value at the time of purchase and at the time it was used as a wager.
If for example, you bought BTC at $7k, you would not want to gamble with it when the price is at $4.5k in order to protect your capital.

new casinos today are in the TRX which works fast and so i'm also betting using TRX, most of them has the minimum of 20TRX. not a big amount to spend for every spin but yes, enough to test some martingale strategy for dice.  i couldn't do it with BTC because it felt like i'm wasting it. but with TRX or EOS, its not a big loss. the best part is that i am also earning these TRX from these casinos thru the dividends.

I still use bitcoin in my gambling needs, actually I am not heavily affected even if bitcoin will dump 30% a day as I don't gamble a lot of money in gambling, and we also have to consider that bitcoin pump so it's an even situation, and if you have been cashing in and out in a daily basis, I think you'll not affected much with the high volatility.

I only use Bitcoin and Etheruem for gambling.
I haven't tried any other since it is only the crypto that I want to hold or invest in.
I don't really want to use other crypto for gambling since it would cost too much just the fee for transaction and fee from trading.

This will definitely give miss reactions because of individual differences. Personally, my favourite cryptocurrency used to gamble is Ripple and u gave been enjoying the games all along. This cryptocurrency has a very good representation when it come to gambling, with this cryptocurrency I have gamble on Stake.com with a small amount and won with a huge amount recently. Am always very sceptical about loosing money from my savings to gambling platforms because I know how difficult it is to make some decent money from this end.

I prefer using a very cheap cryptocurrency to gamble and not to use best coins. Using the best coins in gambling can easily lead to a huge loss during gambling. Although, sometimes I use just about 10% of my Ethereum to gamble but very mindful of this disbursement as it can easily lead to disappearance.

Bitcoin frequently. But I also tried to use Ethereum or XRP before especially when the funds that I want to gamble is from one of the trading exchange. Why not Bitcoin? Because the withdrawal fee, if you will use Bitcoin, is kinda high compare to Ethereum or much better XRP which the withdrawal fees are really low, much different from Bitcoin.
But there are some gambling websites that you can trade or exchange your cryptocurrency to other cryptocurrency and use that to gamble on their website.

Bitcoin no matter what the situation of the market. Ups and downs, still bitcoin. I don't find a reason to gamble with any other cryptocurrency unless I'm pretty much longing for some excitement that it might bring to me.

I have played using other cryptos but whether you play with different cryptos, this depends how you will find significance with it. And with what I think, I don't think that there is and feeling the same so still staying with bitcoin.

There is no problem with bitcoin going up or down I always gamble every week, but what I often use crypto in gambling is DOGE, ETH and XRP according to what we want to use, the most important thing is as long as we don't use investment money to gamble.
Now there are many gambling sites available, but there are also some crypto that are used, but often used are the top coins of bitcoin and ETH like that.

This should had been one of the very first precautions you should have taken as a gambler and not waiting for the market to experience so bad outcome before this pops into your head. Keeping your investing funds together with your gambling funds make it an easy spending source for when your bets aren't going your way and you need more funds to continue betting.

Regarding the coin I use to gamble, initially I started with the platforms native token and that was one of the criteria I used to select my preferred gambling sites since the bonus usually associated with them were mouthwatering but this day I used any cryptocurrency available on the platform surfer that coin can't determine or affect the outcome of my bets.

When Im playing gambling Im personally using these coins the bitcoin, ethereum and ripple that is the three mostly that I used at this moment because the gambling sites right now as we can they are accepting or the player can able to use that coins.

I really like to use that coins since in thw last few years ago upto this moment and I think I will still using the 3 coins that I tested for playing a gambling.

Every player have different coins that they use in gambling but this is one Im sure all of us use bitcoin when play a gambling.

XRP and ETH! But mostly XRP when I play at primedice, the only reason is the transaction speed, when I use bitcoin it takes 30mins++ to deposit but, when I use XRP it's instant. It's really irritating when you lose and you are gonna wait a lot of time for your deposit to be credited. The problem is not all of the gamblng websites supported XRP so I go to ETH, for example cloudbet. When I want to play live casino I go there, ETH is also have a fast transaction speed so that's it.  :)

First of all, it should not be of your concern if the Bitcoin value is increasing or decreasing because you play with crypto (ETH or BTC) and should not measure it in USD. Your focus should be to increase the bitcoins and ethereum and if the value of these coins is low in USD, that should be much bother. You should keep on accumulating crypto by playing gambling and cash out in usd when the rate of btc is high.

I primarily use LTC and XRP for gambling purposes while BTC is my secondary currency.

Bitcoin no matter what the situation of the market. Ups and downs, still bitcoin. I don't find a reason to gamble with any other cryptocurrency unless I'm pretty much longing for some excitement that it might bring to me.
The biggest issue which I found while gambling with BTC is that I sometimes gambled with higher amounts than I wanted to due to which I lost big amounts sometimes. Alternate currencies like XRP, LTC, Doge etc help avoid this confusion in my experience.

I think that only depend per individual, because in my case, regardless of the coins I used in gambling, I always consider its usd equivalent value, so a certain coin/s would not change the range of the amount I can risk when gambling, good for you it works for you.

Altcoins are like chips in casinos and exchange it with BTC which is what we usually withdraw but withdrawing BTC will also cost huge fees compare to withdrawing ETH.
Betting using an altcoin means you will also get an altcoin. You get what you give but if you bet BTC you will also get BTC just as it should.  If casinos does have an exchange of their own where we can turn our altcoin into BTC to withdraw I think I will be using the altcoin.  Probably EOS or ETH.

I prefer to gamble with Ethereum and Litecoin rather than Bitcoin. It confirms faster and the transaction fees are lower. But since the latest big drop on the market I don't gamble with any crypto. Giving 40-50% more coins is not what I intent to do currently.

When I gamble with crypto, I prefer to use bitcoin. For me personally, it is easier to calculate the amount I will lose or win.
Example - while watching streams, I see guys betting doge, catching x120 multiplayer in plinko, winning 2300 doge. “WOW! 2300 doge! ” Someone would say, but overall this is just around 4 dollars...

Well, that is most gamblers preferred. Perhaps through the transaction fees, you can save a little amount on it. Not just like the Bitcoin it has high fees and other gamblers did not spend their Bitcoin because they save it as an asset. More advantage if the online gambling sites has a feature of different currencies accepted, --the cryptocurrency or fiat because each of us as gamblers has different like and dislike in choosing currency in frequently gambling.

I also gamble with LTC and Doge. There are two reasons for using this altcoins and not to bitcoins. First the transaction fee for both Litecoin and dogecoin is very less and secondly you can transfer them within seconds. There is no waiting time if you want to transfer doge coin from/to the gambling site. What is more good is that both of these altcoins are available on all good gambling sites.

I usually use Bitcoin in every gambling site. I always experience traffic when it comes to the transaction like when I play in Cloudbet which takes hours before it gets credit to my account. Even though there's another option for depositing, I still use bitcoin because I was already used to it that every time I will play, I will use bitcoin even without looking at its value in the market. And also I have a fixed amount of bitcoin I use when gambling so I won't exceed with my limit.

I only use two cryptocurrencies. First is bitcoin, of course, Most cryptocurrency gambling sites accept bitcoin as their token to play in their gambling sites and the second one is Ripple or XRP, aside from the transaction speed ripple is also low on fees during the transfer that's why I use XRP when available on a certain gambling site.

As far as I know, people mainly gambles using coins that are already popular on the market. The casino I visit (crypto-games.net) has users that prefer playing with bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, dogecoin and then bitcoincash. Crypto-Games.net offers monthly wagering contest and you will see coins like BTC, ETH, LTC, Doge has been wagered the most and users most of the time max out their rewards on those coins. Other supported altcoins are least used over there.

I think thats how it is supposed to be.
Either you are trading or gambling in fiats or crypto currency, you must be disciplined to set aside funds and marginalize your fundings in such a way that, gambling fee do not affect your trading fee.

It requires self disciplined and also its if an individual has a trade / gambling principle and strategy.

Most of the gambling sites that I saw before, some of them uses bitcoin and most of them are using satoshis, it's only for the game like a dice or roulette. But in sports betting or casino they uses of course btc or altcoins. Satoshi are most, I think because it has a lower value other than the bitcoin or altcoins.

Even bitcoin's price has a low price today, i still would like to used it for gambling because i could add all of my winnings in my holdings, so that i could have a good investment if bitcoin suddenly improves its price again. The only problem if i used gambling is it requires huge fees upon withdrawing it.

This is the best thing to do while we gamble using crypto, we need to know how much our coin worth at the time we are gambling.
Set our bet amount using our own local currency then convert it to the crypto we use. It is what I do so far, I always set my own limit in my own local currency. Lets say my limit is $50 then I'll just convert my fiat into any coins that I want to use.

If at least 50% of gamblers prefer to gamble with "fun token" or "bet money" or "fake dollars" then probably our gambling industry might not have been surviving like it is doing till now. I mean most people must be gambling with the highly valuable asset with the expectation of winning big and losing big to feed the houses for its survival. This must be the hard truth regardless of how many people here are preferring to gamble with least valued coins like dogecoin or tron.

I believe all the people are gambling with the expectation of making some big fortune out of thin air. If they are purely gambling for entertainment purpose then probably they might be switching over to video-games instead of staying in gambling. Yes, there are a lot of stimulating games are available to push adrenaline.

People stick within gambling with the expectation of hitting their luck moment at any time and by gambling with the highly valuable cryptocurrency, they are ensuring they will hit the maximum at any attempt.

I won't be surprise that it's always btc are used in gambling sites but if a gambling site also use other cryptocurrency and also supports exchaning your btc to the other cryptocurrency they also accept as payment. In that way, after gambling you can exchange your btc winnings to the crypto you want and then enjoy paying small fee for withdrawal. I'm sure you know that other crypto have lower fees than bitcoin when withdrawing your balance.

I haven't made transactions with Bitcoin lately (over the past couple of weeks) but I have stopped using altcoins a year ago or more. I don't know, it's just that when Bitcoin started recovering but other cryptos did not, it felt natural to stick to it. Bitcoin is still largely convenient for gambling and other things. It's almost always accepted, the fees aren't that high. With Bitcoin going down, perhaps transaction fees are going to get even lower. I don't know, I don't feel like turning to altcoins. If the concern is the decreasing price, it's not like the alts' prices aren't going down along with it. And as for USDT, I've always been skeptical about using it because of the potential risk of it exploding one day.

Tether? On which gambling house? I have never seen any crypto gambling house is supporting for gambling (I am sure I have played in all reputed houses). What are the backing points for switching to a stable coins for gambling? I mean, could you please justify your decision of adopting usdt for your gambling? I guess you might be a fiat gambler and now in crypto houses, you choose usdt for convenient and easy calculations, right?

I do gamble only with bitcoin and I never think about converting my bitcoins into another coin before gambling. Moreover, I never think about other coins for my gambling but for no reasons. I just started gambling in bitcoins and still gambling with bitcoins for no specific reasons.

If you wanted to use crypto currencies other than bitcoin for gambling then your choice of selecting gambling sites will get degraded a lot because most of the gambling sites have bitcoin as their only supported currency. But your intention is right its just to avoid messing with our investment capital so you can calculate the amount in bitcoin with USD value as well before making deposit in any gambling sites.

Mostly Bitcoin and a few altcoins like ETH, LTC and TRX I only use these whenever I want my deposits to confirm right away since I get used to the instant confirmation feature from one of the bitcoin casinos i've been using. Using stablecoins to gamble would be great but afaik there's only a few casinos that accepts it so making the switch might not be worth it unless you prefer waiting for the price to stabilize before playing again.

Obviously, it is bitcoin. Almost 90% of people who are answering here in this thread, preferred to use bitcoin when they gamble online. We all know that bitcoin is very efficient to use in many transactions, to pay bills, online payment, and etc., that's why people really use it also in gambling. Bitcoin is also safe to use as its security is in your hand so you should be accountable for your wallet. But you also need to keep some bitcoin for yourself and don't be greedy when gambling. Many gamblers lose a huge amount of money because they want to retrieve all their bitcoin that they've spent and they regret that. Instead of gambling also invest bitcoin in trading and in other businesses not just only in gambling.

Much better to use your USDT for your gambling activities as we don't know where the market will proceed. If you have certain budget for your gambling habit then using usdt will allow you to stay with your certain target.

When i do gambler i do just stick with btc and for some time i do make use of Doge and i dont really mind too much on what would be its value as long i do spend it on gambling then i do consider those funds already lost. Therefore, anytime i end up losing im not stressing out myself to think that i should have kept those coins instead.

Most people do make use of bitcoin since this had been always the main crypto that being accepted on most crypto gambling sites or simply does much prefer by all.

Actually, the answer is simple for me. I use the day-trade method to increase the number of BTC I have. But gambling is for both fun and money. For this reason, the USD value of the assets I use in gambling is important. That's why I decided to separate my investments for crypto and gambling.

No I didn't use USDT until last week. I always prefer ETH for gambling. But I've just decided to change this. I will use USDT anymore.

I think we need to completely separate the crypto money we buy for investment and the crypto money we use for gambling. Personally, from this point on, I will use as many USDTs as possible for gambling.

As a matter of fact, the amount I had already allocated for investment was separate from the crypto money I had reserved for gambling. But for both of them it was the amount of BTC that was important to me. But from time to time, I cash out the money I earn from gambling. That's why the value of USDT has always been important to me.

For this reason, I plan to keep the amount I reserved for gambling in my wallet as USDT.

I sometimes use my bitcoin and ETH for gambling because i assume i could win and add it to my holdings, but frequently use ripple in gambling in online casinos because the withdrawal fee in ripple is cheaper than bitcoin and ETH. It is really a good idea to separate our cryptos in our investment and we use in gambling, but there will be a time that you won't care in those separation because as long you want to gamble that will be time that you will use some of your investment in gambling.

Looks like OP is sometimes harming his precious fiat wallet that's why he became more concerned about what crypto should be used in gambling in times like this or when the market is on the bearish trend. Or should I say his gambling funds that mostly ETH are combined with his trading funds so he is really affected about the volatility.

Way different from me as since I enter the world of crypto-gambling. I maintain a good number of crypto on-hand that's why it never makes a point to harm my own precious fiat. It's also separate from what I used as trading funds.

Bull or bear, crypto is still 1:1 in quantity when it comes to gambling. I never involved its USD value when it comes to crypto gambling as long as it's not affecting my fiat holdings.

As for OP, you can make a test if you think what's good for you. We have our own stand on how to deal with this.

TBH, I have used mainly XMR and XRP for obvious reasons. The XRP has the fastest speed among the altcoins nad using the XMR will the best anonymous choice. The BTC and ETH transactions are not cheap anymore and I strongly recommend to avoid using the mentioned cryptocurrencies for gambling. Changelly and Coinswap websites are my preferences for avoiding to make the casino owners rich.

I use a cryptocurrency that have less fee when withdrawing. I will use bitcoin if the gambling site accept only bitcoin yet as a payment. I have played lottery and poker too but I only have limit to avoid gambling too much money that I can afford to lose. For me, my first choice is to choose a crypto that has low fees when you withdraw or to deposit funds.

As long as it works for you.

For now, I guess I don't have to but if I want to use some of those holdings I have with some altcoins I might use them. The thing is I've bought them with higher price that's why I can't spend them freely although I want to.

Whilst bitcoin, I have it during the cheaper days so it wouldn't be a big loss for me. We have different reasons and situations to gamble with bitcoin and altcoins.

Many people don't know about this. And that makes them use the money for trading, investment or even for their daily needs to gambling. That will affect your budget daily because if you lose in gambling, you will not have money to buy other things that you want. If you can separate the money for your expenses, you can know that how much money you can use for playing gambling. I think we can use many coins for playing gambling, and so far, I use dogecoin, litecoin, sometimes, I try to use ethereum too. But dogecoin and litecoin are enough for me to play gambling.

I believe all the people are gambling with the expectation of making some big fortune out of thin air. If they are purely gambling for entertainment purpose then probably they might be switching over to video-games instead of staying in gambling. Yes, there are a lot of stimulating games are available to push adrenaline.
I agree. Because, I have seen lot of people are declaring that they are gambling only for pleasures but they do use bitcoins alone for their gambling which must be highly contradicting. At the same time, video games are not enough trill filled entertainments for adults. You must have child-like mindset to keep on enjoying which is not possible for all the people around the globe by considering different lifestyle and different cultures and traditions worldwide.

People stick within gambling with the expectation of hitting their luck moment at any time and by gambling with the highly valuable cryptocurrency, they are ensuring they will hit the maximum at any attempt.
Yes with bitcoin gambling, you may win big or lose big. It is like high risk <-> high rewards. Interchangeable. If they are ready to compromise with their profit levels then they think about switch over to another low value coin but I am not seeing it is as a trend because gambling makes people greedy over the time hence leaving off bitcoin is not at all a consideration for most people.

But for the bitcoin the withdrawal fee is higher than the other coins so sometimes I did not use bitcoin but most of the time I use it.

I like the gambling sited offer accepting different kinds of altcoins because we have the freedom to use what ever coin we want to use because they have other players leave gambling sited because they have coins that they want to use.

Good to play with BTC. But I'm not sure you understand what I said above. I guess we can say you're playing gambling to make money. With the fall of the Bitcoin price, you automatically lost money. This is exactly what I meant to say.

I have notice this dapps which has more online gambling that use tron. Way back when I am into gambling I always use bitcoin as this is easy to do, but when I checked dapps I can say other people consider to use tron in gambling. Anyway, we have different perspectives when it comes to gambling if what cryptocurrency to use as long it's more convenient to a player.

I use BTC, good thing that there are some gambling sites that provide faucets for players to try and play games through their casino. In addition, I also use LTC because I believe LTC is faster in comparison to Bitcoin transactions, that is when I really like to play and couldn't wait any longer. But most of the time, I store BTC because of the previous campaigns I have, they pay me in Bitcoin and that serves as my currency of playing in their site as well.

Right now, if we don't have any experience in gambling and we want to try it, try to use altcoin first for us to easily store crypto to gambling platforms.

Me too, I use BTC because I find it very fast and safe during payment and transactions. Most of the people who gamble are using bitcoin and we can deny that because as I gamble outside physically, they still use bitcoin. As far as I know, people will just use bitcoin if the platform is online gambling. I'm not yet engaging in using LTC because I still lack of information and precautions in using it and it is very risky if I will just use it without a prior knowledge about that. I started gambling by using bitcoin and it went good because I learned the basic rules in gambling to prevent losses and being abused in a casino. Also I learned that bitcoin is very important and needed to be manipulated properly that's why I never experienced having a hard time in using BTC.

Tron also one of the best altcoin to handle the gambling sites, But Bitcoin is more convenient for long term investment in gambling so we can concentrate Bitcoin and tron it will be match for all the time. Nowadays Ethereum is more familiar in all the gamblers so I am concentrate ETH and BTC for all time gambling. I prefer gambling in BTC so that may hit my luck with big levels. I think we need to completely separate the crypto money we buy for investment and the crypto money we use for gambling. Personally, from this point on, I will use as many USDTs as possible for gambling.

It's a basic rule of thumb, we should have separate fundings that are used for investment and gambling purposes so that if ever either of them is currently not in a good status, not all are affected.

These also apply to our other financial purposes as well. It might be hard to maintain such diversification but as much as possible that kind of setup should always be the priority.

If you tend to USDT on your crypto gambling from now, can you share your list of crypto-gambling sites that accept USDT deposits?

The commissions and transaction fees make the process laggy for the gambler and using alternative cryptos will be a better idea for avoiding wasting time and money. Some casinos offer the swap inside the app or websites, so trading BTC to Doge or LTC is smarter than paying $4 worth BTC fee per transaction. Maybe using the ETH or LTC for gambling hot wallet and later converting the profit to BTC can be an alternative.

indeed when using bitcoin, the transaction becomes more expensive because shipping costs are also high, but to minimize it now I am more often using Tron, XLM or XRP which in my opinion has a low shipping fee and has a high speed when making transactions.

I can do that when the gambling site supports deposits using the three altcoins that I mentioned.

Bitcoin will be the choice for some people to be used for playing gambling, and I used it too in the past. But after I see dogecoin can be used for a gamble, I tried to use dogecoin, but then the fee was increased so high, I decided to use litecoin or ethereum to gamble. Maybe the fee is not too high, but I feel that with that fee, I can gamble for more than 10 with a small amount. But later, I tried to use Tron for a gamble, and I see that Tron has a fast confirming transaction, and the fee is not too big.

I never separate crypto fuor investment/ trade with gambling, all in one address and the safety is my disciplines about limit. The part of never seperate one investment fund from others could be dangerous even for someone who's every discipline about limit because the last time i checked every body is greedy at some point. However, using any cryptocurrency is also not advisable and if you check most gamblers usually make use of doge/LTC to play but it will be good if gambling site could support stablecoins.

Bitcoin is the king for sure. The transfer and confirmation time is the weakness though. I have been leaning more toward Ethereum recently. I am hoarding ETH this time for the next bull run. With the most recent run up ETH almost hit 3x while BTC hit only 2x. We could see some crazy things with ETH this time around. Also, when gambling it allows for a larger pocket for sustaining more red streaks when it comes to bet amount. Of course the amount of betting doesn't equal the amount of coin for BTC vs ETH, though due to exchange rates and such.

I prefer cryptocurrency with much lesser fees when sending a transaction and fast confirmations like ETH, TRX, XLM and similar cryptocurrency as long as the gambling platform supports those currencies I will use it. For the time being BTC blockchain is not that fast enough unless you modify the transaction fees and pay more fees than usual.

Everyone prefer the lesser fees on sending cryptocurrency and maybe because the main reason is just the lower the was the big amount of money they can transfer to the websites so that it would be not become a hassle and not consider a loss, just for example if the gambling website has been issuing very high amount of fees on transferring cryptocurrency then probably it would be really hard to attract gamblers because the fees was really to expensive and high.

^ Definitely right, probably the most frequently they used is altcoins because of the transaction fees when you are transferring your cryptocurrency on the gambling platform wallet. But there are some gamblers who like to use Bitcoin in gambling, just like my friend. He said that it is good because Bitcoin is very volatile and at the same, you will also earn profit by that. Nevertheless, I encourage everyone to use Bitcoin, because it will help also to increase the price of the market. If everyone using Bitcoin it means the demand will increase that makes price growing up.

This is a strategy that professional gamblers use, they have separated accounts for the money they need to pay for the stuff they need, their investments and their gambling activities and they never mix them or they will have the temptation to try to use money they really need to keep gambling and that will lead you to ruin.

It is really bad for bitcoin when people are switching over to the cryptocurrency due to the reason of high transaction fee and long time required for confirmations. Because, I do study gambling industry is providing big volume in day-to-day transactions of bitcoins but bitcoin foundation must need to improve something other than what we had in segwit. I believed lightening network will provide some big changes but gambling houses are taking time to adopt it which gives room for gambling houses and gamblers to adopt some of the cryptocurrency.

I am still sticking with bitcoin based gambling for no big reasons. Recently I have deposited 0.05BTC into freebitcoin for gaining daily interest but that transaction took more than 2 days to get first confirmation even I had included more fee than what electrum suggested.

Seriously 2 days? The network is not clogged at the moment or even recently.

Or maybe that amount wasn't reflected right away in the freebitco.in and you just think it was stuck for more than 2 days.

I'm amazed you take the risks of putting BTC0.05 on that site just to achieve that 547 satoshis daily interest for a total of 0.00204025 annual interest.

I guess there will be no risk involved with that gambling house because they are serving us since 2013 and enabling us to make some bitcoins even without gambling. But, personally I will not deposit 0.05BTC with them for the reason of gaining daily interest. With the respect to current bitcoin prices, that must be very big money (even bitcoin prices are lower now a days compared to what we had some 10 days back).

Unlike most other crypto based gambling houses, freebitco.in is not providing any other cryptocurrencies for gambling with them. They are sticking with only bitcoins. This must be another reason, we must support them.

Quite sometimes I used ETH but mostly I used Bitcoin since from the day I tried gambling. I often confident of using them both knowing that most gambling sites are only accepting Bitcoin and so we have no option but to use it instead. Even though Bitcoin's price is low but still, I'm using it no matter how it cost.
But because of the global market issue that we've been facing today, I have to limit my bet.

My preference is ethereum, because it is the one that gave me big wins. After the wallet got emptied I moved to bitcoin, further my attention changed to ripple and this continues in an alternative manner. It is all about the availability, and these days every gambling website gives access to more number of cryptocurrency which makes the gamblers feel comfortable. Earlier as bitcoin and ethereum was used much, people used to convert for spending which itself costs them. Now few gambling websites have providing switching of bitcoin to ethereum and other cryptocurrencies as well.

I almost always gamble with Bitcoin now. I used to have a pretty large assortment of cryptocurrencies almost exclusively for use with gambling after the large spike in transaction cost we had a while back, but I don't foresee any sort of major mempool backup or rise in transaction price on the main Bitcoin blockchain anytime in the future, so I've since cut out most of those cryptocurrencies.

It's definitely true that Bitcoin can have wild price swings, but so can any other altcoin because the crypto market tends to move with Bitcoin and in unison in general. There's plenty of other faster cryptocurrencies out there, but Bitcoin's been around for so long and has been so reliable I don't see any major advantages to using others.

If the bitcoin price is rising more than $10,000, I think it is not good to gamble using bitcoin because when we play gambling, the chance to get lost will wide open. So imagine if you use 0.01 Qbtc for gamble and suddenly, you lose all of the bitcoin, that will make us lose in a large amount although for some people, losing 0.01 btc is okay. I prefer to use altcoin like ethereum, litecoin, dogecoin, or else to gamble because the value of the altcoin is not the same as bitcoin, so that will not makes me sad if I lose all of the amounts. But I always limit my bet as you because I don't want to see I've got lost in one day, and I still want to use that money for gambling in another day.

to the question that if what coins i like to use when gambling , that will be btc because value is now cheap and its faster to use btc nowadays but i dont feel gambling my btc if its pumping

I don't have problem with bitcoin as my currency used for gambling, less hassle when I want to convert it back to USD. I agree with separating my funds for investment and gambling in that way you will not accidentally use all your funds, but I don't think that people will do these especially if they are compulsive gambler.

I go with the majority, and I believe that majority of gamblers are using bitcoin when gambling in a casino.
As of now, the transaction fee is really high if you want to make your transaction faster, but I get used to that, the key here is just not to transact regularly.
What I did is just I just deposit in a gambling site, make some target profit, then if lucky withdraw it.

Doge is my favorite alt-coin for gambling. Low value, very low minimal bets, I don't risk much! For betting on sport usually I bet with
Bitcoin! I tried some other alt-coins for playing dices and other lucky games, but Doge is the best for me! I wanted to try gambling
with Tron, but minimal bets there are like 10 TRX, more or less, it's expensive for me and I can't gamble relaxed!

I think we need to completely separate the crypto money we buy for investment and the crypto money we use for gambling. Personally, from this point on, I will use as many USDTs as possible for gambling.
Alternatively, you may gamble the same currency with your investment by using differnt wallet. Through this way, you couldn't be able to abuse your reserved capital for your investment. Also, it's less hassle for you if every you hit the jackpot as withdrwing it into fiat wouldn't be a problem as you may transfer it to your main wallet. I myself is currently using XRP and BTC for gambling and investment. I couldn't insist using XRP as they cost less fee and faster also.

I went back and forth a lot on this and I am not sure which one I really prefer. When I was starting I started with bitcoin because back when I started there was maybe 3-4 coins, I remember bitcoin, namecoin, litecoin and that is about it during those days. However later on, I started to gamble with clam because just-dice required that but I felt like it wasn't really for me and I stopped doing it.

After all of that I went back to bitcoin, then I moved to dogecoin because that looked like a lot while gambling and was really fun, but it became really worthless and I didn't want to lose while not gambling as well. Moved back to bitcoin and moved to ethereum because that looked like it had dapps that were fun to use as well. Now I am at bitcoin again, don't know what the next one will be.

I straight up use bitcoin, I used to dabble with others as well but right now bitcoin is getting less and less transaction costs and depositing 10 bucks is easier than ever and honestly if you are going to play with anything higher than you don't care about transaction or withdrawal costs and if you are playing for anything under you can get it from the free rolls or promotions and what not so you can play for free honestly.

I am not saying do not deposit, do so if you can but if you can't than there are other methods, many places still offer faucet for example, you can go to freebitcoin and still get free money ten times a day (24 normally but wanted to make it realistic) and in couple days you actually have a decent number to wager as well.

I hope number of altcoins are easy to handle in gambling sites at same time BTC was stay in all the pocket.
I do see very few gambling houses are accepting tron. Not sure my favorite houses are accepting tron for gambling. So far I too gambled only with bitcoins and if I get any free coins then I do gamble with them (primedice more often mail me free coins). I prefer gambling in BTC so that may hit my luck with big levels. I think there will be no matter of price of BTC to risk it in gambling as once decided to risk in gambling then it should be in BTC and no changes along with BTC's fluctuations.
Obviously, Bitcoin is the perfect matches for most of the gamblers and I am also concentrate in most of the houses. But few sites are accepting the some top altcoins so Tron is good to invest for some gamblers. Nowadays market fluctuations was totally upset the gamblers so we never judge the frequent house and frequent coins in crypto platform.

The reasons are varied for not using the volatile altcoins for gambling but stable coin idea is going to save the person from the price fluctuation. The unstable prices have a high level price fluctuation in USD but this volatility can increase the fiat equivalent at the end or vice versa. I can't see any difference using the stable crypto assets in crypto casino websites or fiat in normal gambling platforms except anonymity.

That always depends on the preference of each user whose able to sustain on the long span of time while enjoying gambling. What I see here is that using bitcoin for the purpose of virtual gambling, is the most in demand in terms of cryptocurrency adoption. Other alternative coins was only the least priority for everybody, so it's very important to determine on which betting games you are picking up.

Of course the separation of funds is indeed very necessary to later make it easier for you to calculate all costs spent, but if it relates to the use of coins that are more stable or not because the situation is always changing, I personally will continue to use bitcoin, no matter the low price because I will not immediately cash in profits and at least will be used to gamble on other occasions until I will cash in when the price has increased.

this is caused by a sharp market decline, so all coins are affected.
The gambling site I used to play closed all other deposit types of coins except BTC maybe because of this factor they lost because they held a few coins and sold them late when the market went down.this will also reduce the number of people who will deposit using crypto because the BTC fee is quite expensive for one transaction.

Yeah, transaction fees could be somewhat given a reason not to use BTC but if you are really in gambling addiction, it doesn't matter at all.

More often, gamblers are using Bitcoin than of other altcoins or even ETH, most gambling sites never accept altcoins that give no option to take if you are using that particular site to play. And also, most of us holding Bitcoin that is why we are more entertain to use this as it serves to have its purpose.

Normally it does not take 6 hours for the BTC transactions to be confirmed. Most of the transactions are confirmed in 30 mins if you put the recommended tx fee. Most probably you have put the minimal tx fee and that's why it took you 6 hours to confirm. I also use bitcoin too while playing gambling, becasue i transfer one time big amount in gambling site to save tx cost, and keep on playing with that balance.

Initially used to think crypto is the best but then realised that it is highly risky to use cryptos because in gambling the results more or less when I play is known as I play for enjoyment and losing streak is higher in my case So eventually I end up losing good coins and later on the price rises of this coins. So I even miss out the money making opportunity if I had hold those coins.

Forget about its price rising as it could also dump, there's no guarantee and it's just based on timing.
You are not an investor or a trader when you are gambling, you should not mix up things so it will not confuse you and that will not affect your game plan, make some schedule that will let you regularly cash in and cash out, and that's it.

With the market declining, it is not wise to gamble with BTC. Especially the transaction fee in using major crypto such as ETH and BTC. That is why gambling platforms with several alternatives such as XRP, DOGE, TRX and other alts is a good attraction for convenience.
But that is only true if you are holding altcoins like those, if you are only holding bitcoin like the majority of the people in the forum then if you want to gamble you have no option but to gamble with bitcoin, since it does not make sense to convert your bitcoin into altcoins since now you need to pay a transaction fee and pay a fee to the exchanges well and finally you will need to pay a transaction fee to transfer your coins to the casino, as such I do not see the point of forcing yourself to gamble with altcoins if you do not have them and you are only holding bitcoin at the moment.

Well, the cryptocurrency that I mostly used when gambling is bitcoin, well actually that will be the cryptocurrency that will be used by the others if they really want to earn more money in gambling because as far as I know, the higher that value you bet then the higher the reward you may have if you win.

So if you are strong enough and you are believing that can win in gambling then you should use bitcoin to make more money. There is so big differences when you use other cryptocurrency because as we all know there is so big difference between the price of the bitcoin to the price of other cryptocurrency.

Fees would really be there in terms of conversions from BTC to alts yet we know that there are even gambling sites that do have
on site instant exchange. Therefore, you can still directly convert into those coins you do like but well a been said, people would
most likely to play directly with bitcoin rather than minding theirselves to have conversions from time to time.

There’s a lot of crypto currency that we can used in gambling but those crypto currency has a high exchange rate and I think as a gambler it is disadvantage if I choose a currency that has a high exchange rate.  For me, I frequently used XRP currency to play gambling because the exchange rate is very affordable so that I loved to used XRP as my medium in playing gambling.

I don't see it that way, bitcoin for example has a high exchange rate but it's more stable compared to other crypto assets.
For me what is important is that it has good liquidity so gamblers can easily cash out and cash in anytime.

For me, I frequently used XRP currency to play gambling because the exchange rate is very affordable so that I loved to used XRP as my medium in playing gambling.
XRP also has a good liquidity, but not all gambling sites are accepting XRP.

I have played once the online gambling and I use bitcoin because that is only what I have, I did not play it again because it is not that entertaining when playing online compared to casino gambling, I am gambling just to kill time and to be entertained and I can only find it with casino gambling or the real gambling and one of the reason is that some of the gambling sites are not paying well.

XRP and Doge for me. Bitcoin is commonly used however, the transaction fee hurts a lot. Gambling platforms usually has alternative currencies so that gamblers have different options. BTC and ETH are commonly used however, due to the current market situation, I don't think it is wise to use them for gambling.

I am using eth and btc,

The transaction fee for using btc is a little bit higher, so I am using eth most of the time. I am planning to use other type of cryptocurrency such as XRP but for now, I focus using more on eth since the website that I am using is accepting only eth and btc.

Currently I am using BTC in my gambling as I didn't find any decent site that offers other type of currencies like eth,xrp and etc. that have a lower transaction fees. I am really looking for some decent gambling sites that offers those currencies so I can save to transaction fees upon depositing and withdrawing my money.

Aside from that bitcoin also takes few minutes to be confirmed or worst it will take days if you use a very small transaction fee so I really love to use eth or xrp if there are other gambling websites that offers this kind of currencies.

You must be kidding if you did not find any decent sites that accepts good altcoins like what you mentioned above. How about Stake? Bitsler? Dont you think they are decent sites or havent you tried or even heard about them before?
Both sites accepts eth and xrp if you do like to use these coins, check them out if you havent checked it.

As much as possible I avoid using cryptocurrncies such as BTC or ETH not just to avoid the fees for transferring to the platform from my wallet and vice versa. I would rather store and accumulate them than to risk it in gambling. If ever I have spare money for gambling I buy XRP since the fee is cheap and transaction is fast.

Indeed correct, but for me, as long as you are buying BTC at rates acceptable and you will win BTC higher than how much you've risked, I think it is acceptable to still use BTC for betting. Unless, BTC transaction fee is too high that it affects the frequency of your bets. But it is not always the case, most of the time, crypto gambling sites will allow you to decide how much you want to bet in order to play decent amount of games and win decent depending on the amount you've bet.

IMO, to play efficiently, we could try to use altcoins that we are not actually using for usual transactions, those that the purpose are merely for gambling, because like trading, some gambling site have their own crypto to use and it provides perks and discounts.

No doubt that it is Bitcoin and Ethereum which are mostly being used by many gamblers. This is no longer surprising to know because even in other online services, these two are sitting above other cryptos. I do not exactly know why they are more often used, maybe people are just used to these coins, coinsidering that these are the top cryptos in this industry. But there are still people who do not use these coins to gamble due to investment purposes. They do take care of their holdings and I do sometimes think that gambling is an unnecessary use of my investment, but am still doing it due to the enjoyment I experience. But if I would be asked which should be used, I'd say depending on your own likeness because it would be the same. You can trade your other holdings into Bitcoin or ethereum in order to still take good care of investments but ofcourse it would cost more of your time.

Accumulating and saving it is what the majority does but it wouldn't hurt you much if you know how to manage your money when you gamble. BTC, ETH or any important altcoin you own, you can gamble them with any amount as long as it's a very small amount.
But most of the casinos are bitcoin-focused if not, prioritizes bitcoin and accepts some other major altcoins.

Of course Bitcoin is the best currency, especially if you win! You can save your winnings and not waste them!
Understand that there are only 21 million bitcoins... And there's less than 3 million left to mine...
I'm sure in a few years your bitcoins will cost more than they do now!

And if you're talking about volatility, then any altocoins will lose value even more than a bitcoin! ;)

Bitcoin is the most used cryptocurrency for me in gambling. We all know that it's the common and top gambling platform that prioritizes bitcoin as their cryptocurrency. Obviously, bitcoin is the most potential digital money of all times so why would I stick to other cryptocurrencies?

I usually bet in eSports and bitcoin is what I'm using so I can easily transfer those BTC in my local wallet.

In start I was using Bitcoin and I use this for very long time without any problem but as withdrawal prices rise and blockchain confirmations appear I try in some different altcoins as well which help some better like Litecoin and Ether as these two have much faster and good response for emergency deposits currently these both are available of many sportsbooks so going with them is never been bad at all for any one.

Everyone who had gambled online using cryptocurrency would have always started with Bitcoin. As it is widely accepted than any other cryptocurrencies. I also did the same but slowly Bitcoin casino started adding other cryptocurrencies like tron, ripple, Ethereum BCH and dogecoin.

I found this fascinating and started using doge and tron for a change. There are many plus point on using other cryptocurrencies and one of the major one is that it does not hurt your pocket as much as it did with Bitcoin.

It is the reality that most of us are started to gamble with btc, even now I still using it and I'm now used to it. There are only gambling sites that have feature to accept alternate cryptocurrencies. I'm very comfortable to use bitcoin and that is why I keep doing it even now but the only disadvantages are the fees which is very high because when you use other coin the withdrawal fees are only cheap.

I usually gamble using bitcoin because its more convenient for me.

There's no need to trade for other currency and I can directly withdraw it using our local wallet.

I tried to use xrp before because it has low fee but since I rarely gamble now I prefer to use btc everytime im in the mood to play.

If this thread is a polling thread, we will be able to find out more about which cryptocurrency is widely used by gamblers on gambling sites. But unfortunately this thread is only for soliciting opinions and if to find out which cryptocurrency is the most widely used gambler, then one must collect data from user responses so that conclusions can be drawn.

All wallets do this.

You can send directly to casinos wallet addresses without any intervention unless you will send it first to a different address, a not casino address.

With the passage of time, the gambling industry will start to accept more cryptocurrencies and more altcoins as the crypto becomes more popular and legalized. Currently we do not have much options to choose other than bitcoins and few other altcoins. I think in future we might see top 20 altcoins being listed on most of gambling sites too.

Bitcoin only...
I never tried gambling with other cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin, by only doing transactions with Bitcoin, it makes me focus. I make a deposit with Bitcoin, if I convert it to another cryptocurrency like Eth then there will be more costs that I have to spend.

In my early times in gambling, I use bitcoin,
But right now, I am using ETH. We have a local wallet which we can buy eth directly using fiat. By that, I can minimize the transaction fee that I need to spend unlike before and the time I needed to wait has been reduced.

I don't like the idea betting with Bitcoin.
In my opinion, I feel like that there is huge losses when you bet with Bitcoin because once you lose your stacks you are going to lose more money due to the potentially of the value increase.

That said, I have used other cryptos to gamble in the past when they were given to me for free by casinos as bonuses. I have used BCH, ETH and doge, but as you know free money is easily spent.

We need to see what are the currencies are accepted on the gambling site we choose to play for because of most gambling sites have bitcoin and other few currencies as accepted. Basically there is no issue with gambling on stable coins but if you won billions in stable coins and wanted to cash out on any exchange you may face issues regarding KYC and others so stick with bitcoin so you can convert them into money if you won in millions. ;D

Well thats an another story if you do win up stablecoins but i do only see a few who do accept stable coins atm yet most of them do really have that common payment of BTC and other top alts as well.
When it comes on my gambling activity it do really indeed vary on whats the site is requiring but if i dont have a specific coin that they do ask out then i do simply skip out yet sometimes
i dont really like the feeling on spending up some btc but rather do like to play up some doge. This is why i do much prefer on some sites that do have internal converter to other crypto coins as well.

Internal converters actually is a good feature of a casino. Also, when you decide to withdraw your funds, you can select options other than bitcoin. And while you are playing inside the casino, you feel you have a lot more money if you have doge, based on my experience though.  ;)

Anyway, if you won large sum of stable coins inside a casino, you can always convert to other alt like eth or btc or whatever is available within the casino that will not cause you any trouble in withdrawing your funds.

Gambling frequently with bitcoin and waiting for the chance to win big in other to use the BTC as investment is not right because bitcoin have more utility and value than other crypto. Besides, it not even proper at this time and it better to gamble using altcoin like doge which will give you the chance to play more games.

I have periods, current period is poker and slots with btc! But generally I tried almost alts that are accepted in casinos, it's good to change chains and casinos sometimes. I can say that it's easy to gamble with crypto, it's instant and without some unnecessary complicated registration! I was surprised how easy is to gamble on tron, or eos and their casinos, in built wallets, no names no nothing, you just transfer coins, which last couple seconds and you can start gambling.
Now with so many coins and casinos sometimes it's really hard to choose where to gamble! Currently, I play poker on SwC, and slots on adrenalinecasino, of course more poker less slots!
