Title: Steem fork project (HIVE) a success
Post by: Greatchu on March 23, 2020, 01:14:03 PM
After successfully forking from the Steem blockchain, Hive (HIVE) secured a listing on Bittrex where it is trading for a 20% price over it's big brother steem, is this Bittrex powerful or magical touch or just that HIVE sees more demands than it's big brother?

Clearly Hive stands for community's will while the old Steem now becomes a Justin Sun's toy. It's a win for the community in the battle with Sun. No magic here from a tier 2 exchange like Bittrex. Apart from that, maybe some Steem holders are taking advantages from this listing. That also contributes to the pump.

Damn it, I never knew this fork was real, I would have buy some steem before the fork happened and make extra income from it, I still don't know what's wrong with Tron ceo, he already has enough to be worried about, first is Tron and second is Bit torrent, what is he doing?

The Hive project was a clear sign that the real supports of steem does not like the present owner. Justin sun. they want the platform to manage the way they want it. justin can control his own steem while the real people that believe in the steem project can continue with the Hive. it is good to see both parties go separate ways.

I think price increased because of the hype for Steem, and yes Bittrex is a legendary crypto exchange, far secure than Binance! It was unexpected for me, but yet HIVE idea was a big move by the Steem platform. Crypto needs this, so, TRON is becoming shit because of making continuous drama! I missed the chance to buy the HIVE coin at low, now I am waiting for a dump to have it in my bags!

definitely we should observe the situation in these projects. I believe that for some time everyone will talk about both projects, but after a while, only one will remain. which will survive?  - unknown. Now we need to observe the technical development of projects

Never expected this move, I should have followed it up. I expect a smart rivalry from the original steem led by SUN. The fact that bittrex listed the, shows they are very serious and some other exchanges may list it for free. Another possible good opportunity to make good money.

My friend just complained to me now that he wasn't given on his Binance account as he bought Steem in anticipation of the fork. I can't tell if Binance supported the Hardfork! Please who has idea about this?

Of course they are serious they build Steem. They will just continue to build it. Sun will copy paste it same as he cpoy pasted TRON white paper.

it is not just Bittrex, Ionomy listed Hive as well, and they seem to be great community, compared to centralized Steemit after Justin Sun bought part of it
nevertheless, challenges are here to be resolved for them, since this is just a beginning and optimism is still here, there was no development on steemit last year, and most of good developers left it for Hive, and this is great start for the community, hope that it will continue this way

Binance supported the fork, it is on their website, and should provide Hive to all Steem holders on the moment of hardfork, 20.03. at 14h - https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040692692

It means those who did buy steem, didn't withdraw from binance can still get Hive 1:1 in their binance account which the exchange will also be listing this HIVE not just bittrex. Not that we learned the lesson from steem, we can probably withdraw our Hive from binance don't get Sun a chance to control Hive.

Yeah, the Hive project forked successfully and i have been able to access my hive account. The steemit community have really proven that power really reside in the people and that if people are to stick together they can overcome any threats of Centralization. I think many steemians prefer to be on hive other than steemit and that is what is causing the gradual price increase in HIVE.

Hive goes DeFi soon and with a bit of luck we might see some serious price movement. Got myself a couple thousands and am ready. Price seems to have hit rock bottom so the risk is small anyways. Though Hive is a fork of steem, it aims to target a boarder market than steem. They have came up as a new but promising utility tokens and there are already a lot of dapps on the Hive platform. The largest dapp on Hive, Splinterlands has higher number of daily users than the total sum of users in steem dapps. That shows how better hive is for new dapp games and social/blogging platforms.

that didn't give any contribution to the price of token. hive has already traded in so many exchange sites and this is only a child money grabber project that has already made by justin and his friends.

Any project that came from him didn't worth to take a look at.

Is the success of any cryptocurrency platform was based only on its token price? IMHO, I don't think so, because the token price is just a part of a complex ecosystem on any projects or platforms If HIVE has managed to survive after the fork with the STEEM Blockchain will its good for them but the question is until when? Because forking from any existing platform has always two results may be a success or maybe a failure so lets wait and see.

I can't call HIVE a success story though it was able to prove a point with the Fork of Steem but Steemit still have more users than Hive, I have not seen any Fork that has outperformed the mother chain, though it has somehow weaken Steemit ecosystem as a whole but don't see how Hive surpass Steem

Dude, it has been a half of year since the hive has already reached its peak price. This time it was also going down like its parent coin called tron.

steem and hive didn't get a lot of interest from the users. The majority of users are sitll prefer using medium as the main blog to publish anything rather than use both hive or steem.
Steem and hive just like zombie platforms right now. I rarely seen people used it before.

On Ionomy you can sell STEEM Backed Dollars earned in your Steemit Wallet, you get BTC. You can then trade that for BLURT.
https://ionomy.com/en/markets/btc-sbd

SBD & HBD ---> Blurt Power
Curate and Continue until Blurt is $0.50 or $1.00

Cash out 1/3 Blurt at $0.50-$1.00

Buy STEEM Power at $0.15 or so

Be a Steemit Whale. Help new people earn SBD to buy BLURT.

It is like Built-In Buy Support, we just suggest to everyone "Hey, you know you can buy BLURT with your SBD/HBD earnings?"

Here is how we are going to be creating Earnings that are not like Wages, but like an Oil Well

1. Blurt, Hive, Steemit + Minnow Support + Canna-Curate + Steemit Communities (APPICS, DLIKER, PunicWax, etc) + Hive Communities
2. SBD + HBD ---> Blurt
3. Blurt + Steemit + Hive + Canna-Curate on Bitcointalk
4. Steem-Engine Tokens + Hive-Engine Tokens + Steemit Communities + Hive Communities + Scot Bots
5. TRON TRC20 Tokens + Bounty0x
5. Blurt ---> STEEM Power
6. STEEM Power to Steem-Engine and Hive Engine, back and forth continuously selling Tokens and STEEM as needed for Liquid, or buying BLURT, etc..
7. DTube Clones
8. Blurt Forks
9. Several other Blockchains

We can also start trading Gold and Silver for Currencies, once a few people do that the value will basically be backed by Gold, and the person selling Gold for Blurt at $0.02 makes tons of earnings on the Blurt Moon Ramp.

Steem and hive just like zombie platforms right now. I rarely seen people used it before.

i think that it is different situation, first of all, Hive is not under Tron, Steem is under Tron, and Hive is hard fork from Steemit, due to their acquisition by Tron foundation, and Justin Sun centralized decision making process
Hive had successful hard fork 24 few days ago, that should make them better in the future, and has some very good projects in gaming industry, that are on Hive because low transaction fees, namely Splinterlands, that has many users and thriving ecosystem

price is not following at the moment, but would not call it zombie platform at all, there is no hype right now, but that could be a good moment to invest in the project, when there is hype and price movement, it is usually too late (do not take this as a financial advice in any case)

FreeBitcoins.com now supports a HIVE market.

https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Bitcoin-Hive (https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Bitcoin-Hive)

Next week we will have our HIVE faucet and swap tool running.

(This is the top result for "Hive Bitcointalk"... if anyone knows of a more official HIVE bitcointalk... let me know!)
