Hey, I'll be there if something unexpected doesn't stop me. Should have plenty of time. My nickname is same as here so you all know who you are playing against. Thanks to Sportsbet for putting something extra into prize pot. Hopefully we will get the needed amount of players. I think I know a couple of guys who might be interested, will send them a PM.

I'm definitely back in the game on sunday. Thanks for the cool prize pool. That hopefully increases the incentive to play. My user name on sportsbet is still the same (CoinEraser) and I have also updated the german thread with the new information. I look forward to sunday.  :)

Right now I'm having problems, too. I have to wait one or two minutes for the page to load. But after that the site works without problems.   :)

thanks for setting this up, @efialtis! i should be there. PM me the password when you get a chance.

Anyone who would like to receive the password, please post in this thread.

i have to update the list from last week, but i have a list of 4-5 dozen people who have played or requested the password to our games before. they might appreciate getting a PM about the game. i'll provide the list later today.

I will join you but I'm still having the loading issue on my browser
am I the only user with that problem? there has to be someone else...

which one? will they not let you access the poker room at all? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217547.msg54093206#msg54093206)

i also encountered an issue on mobile where the poker software requires landscape viewing. since auto-rotation on my phone settings was off, it wouldn't load at all. turning on auto-rotate fixed the issue.

Thanks for setting it up this time @efialtis. Was the tourney already accepting registrations? I can't login right now on my new mobile phone because the access information like telegram was on my other phone. Anyways, I can play it without any issues on my laptop.

I already posted another translated thread on my local you can access it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235498.0, let's see if we can get more players this time.

@efialtis, thank you for arranging it for us!

I'm definitely playing. Please, send me the password.

My Sportsbet username is Betwrong.

Guys, don't forget that there is the Bad Beat Prize, 0.0025 BTC, from me(and maybe others will join to make it bigger). Please read the rules by following the link below:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5233891.msg54075552#msg54075552

Although p2p transfer is not possible at sportsbet.io, I think we'll find a way to transfer the prize to the winner if needed. Also, others are welcome to add to the Bad Beat Prize pool.

The escrow issue had been discussed already in another thread:

~
In my opinion, we don't need escrow for that. But I'm open to suggestions.

i think we can be trusted for 0.0025 BTC each. it's not worth escrowing because it could be weeks or months before the BBJ gets hit.

So, if any of you is going to add 0.0025 BTC to the Bad Beat Prize pool, you are very welcome, just confirm your intention in this thread.

Is the buy-in from our add-in up on top of the 40 mbtc offered by sportsbet , or they're gona only be added if we first reach the 40mbtc prizepool with buy-ins ?

Regardless,  for 1 mbtc that's a pretty nice prizepool .

It is working like a regular gtd tournament, which means the 40 mbtc are guaranteed (15 min. entrants necessary) but our buy-ins (and rebuys) are only added to the prize pool once we reach the 40 mbtc.

Nice surprise you have there. The guaranteed prize pool might bring a few more people out, not sure how many of the regs can bypass the kyc.

I'm working but will send some funds over, if it's a slow day I might be able to partake with some afk moments.

Definitely a nice gesture on the part of sportsbet.

GL all if I don't make it.

Dont let the possiblity of a kyc make you fearful of this casino.
I would bet more people have not been asked for KYC then people who actually have.
They have never asked me for KYC because I play by the rules.

But what about Sporstbets KYC and some other restrictions?

I have some doubts about that. It will be not fine to register without KYC, win the tournament and do not be able to withdraw, because whey will ask you for KYC.

Guys, please dont worry too much about kyc - its not like sportsbet is enforcing this all the time - they rarely do actually. Also, this is supposed to be a fun tournament for our community - dont think they will suddenly ask everybody to kyc before they can play. ;)

Please, read some thoughts above. I'm not afraid that will restrict me to deposit funds, i'm afraid that they will not withdraw funds without KYC.

There is no guarantees. T&C are written in a way that Sportsbet can ask you for KYC anytime they want.

I can only share my experience. I have been a user for quite some time, about a year now and they never asked me for KYC. I was much more of high roller few months ago and at that time I have without problems withdrew quite large amounts several times (0.2-0.5 BTC) without any problem. All my transactions with Sportsbet were extremely fast and I can recommend them without any reservations.

They have risen their margin in the meantime so they are not so good for high rollers any more but that is another matter for discussion in some other topic. Their whole policy has turned more to mainstream casual players.

Guys, please dont panic when its not necessary... remind me of my ex, dont do that plz! :D

@johnny Its not gonna happen that you win this tournament, want to withdraw the funds and wont be able to do so before completing kyc... you have my word for that. ;) Again: This is a tournament that sportsbet have set up for us to have some fun, they are not going to f*** up anyone here...

Other than that - of course, they could ask for kyc in general, its in their terms and they can do so whenever they want to...

I guess it won't ask for a KYF with the prize pool of just 0.04 BTC, that isn't a big chunk of money if they do at least be prepared for the worst case scenario if you can't comply with the requirements. Just join the fun first and worry other things once it's done besides you have to win it with yahoo62278 a pro is one of the participants.

nobody i've talked to has had KYC sprung on them at sportsbet.io---i'm not too worried about that, especially at these stakes.

the country restrictions are more of an issue. anyone who is planning to play should load up the poker room ASAP and make sure they can access it. if you get this message, (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217547.msg54093206#msg54093206) you need to 1. clear your cookies, 2. connect through VPN from a safe country (germany is working fine) and 3. make a new account.

i'm gonna register tonight, still need to load my account.

@efialtis, sorry i kinda slept on this. did the people on this list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217547.msg54056151#msg54056151) receive the password, or just the people who posted in this thread? let me know if i should still send send out a PM. i'm updating the list from last week right now.....

I can also confirm I did multiple withdrawals from Sportsbet without having to do KYC. They weren't huge amounts, but were not 5$ as well.

Bottom line - I'd rather skip KYC due to legal issues (reporting taxes from gains) but doing it if needed it will not stop me from using Sportsbet. I trust them enough to keep my data safe.

Already signed up and you deserved a merit for reminding me about daylight savings. Completely forgot about that one since I am working from home and it doesn't really matter when I start in the morning as long as I pull my 8 hour shift during the day.

The payout of 40 microbitcoin is not so bad. And poker tournament is not so much of a bad idea especially online now that everyone should avoid social areas and practice social distancing

Maybe they have some list of restricted countries, eh?  :-\

Already find list - https://helpcentre.sportsbet.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115007372088-Restricted-Countries
Then will play with VPN  :P

This list cannot be right I think. First of all, half of the world is on it ;D
Second, my country is on it and my account works normally - I can play poker and have played poker there. The logo is also different from the Sportsbet page - maybe that's from their UK partner Steve mentioned once or twice?

While we're on topic of using VPN - is it legal or not? For example, you use VPN, bet and win. I assume no payout if they catch you, right? So I would not recommend to use VPN - or at least not to get caught while using VPN ;D

In one hand, VPN is definitely legal. In other hand, if someone will want to hold your money, he will find any reason to do that. They can't "caught" you, if you don't reset VPN or log in through your own IP to the site.

Transaction confirmed? You need to wait for it to confirm before it shows up in the poker lobby.

Please remember to enter the tournament early enough - saying that because a last minute deposit could get tricky since it needs to confirm before your balance shows up in the poker lobby.

Omg.
Just add anyone from russian local (me included) to your distrust list. Just a false feedback from BSV shiller and troll. You don't see any other feedback from trusted members, so calm down and ignore it.

Eventually, i doubt about reasons to play with your "alt" in tournament. It's not a bounty campaign.

It's not even only that twice the chance , it's also the fact that he will basically know +2 cards each hand which will give him a huge advantage over the other people.

Because of that quarantine in my country (and the fact that i'm away from beloved people), maybe i will sound rude (and i apologize for it) but guys, please, use your brains at least one time in your life. If i would be a cheater, i would not ask any password publicly. I would just create any needed number of accounts, register them with password (i already know it haha) and then do whatever i want. That's a first obvious (for people with IQ above 100) point.
I will tell you what happened in reality: In my country is quarantine, so i propose to my friends to play with me in some games when i have some time. I tell about that to my friend, he asked me "Oh, i remember that you told me that someone tagged us. Is this good idea?" And i answered like "oh dude, in gambling there nice people, they're not assholes, so just ask for application from your account and everything will be fine  :) " For clever people (with IQ above 100) will be enough this fact. But i want to tell something more:

In my country (and all post USSR) people are evaluated for their deeds, not words. So, mr.Flagship11, are you ready to put "your sking in the game"? This term was introduced by highly respected by me Nassim Nicholas Taleb  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nassim_Nicholas_Taleb), but was known since early history of mankind.

here is your words:

It means you have Twice the chance to win instead of 1 chance like others.

Are you sure for it? Let be honest, buddy, i doubt that you done mathematical calculations. I mean stronger calculations than something like "Eehh, he has probability n there two guys, so the probability is like 2 * n, eeeh". It's not work like that (i mean your calculations wrong).

So, if i show you with mathematical calculations that you're wrong, that there is not "twice chance" to win even with alt, will you pay for me and my buddy this tournament? Otherwise, i will pay for you and +1 rebuy (to keep it honest, 0.002 on 0.002). Are you ready to gamble (from your side it's obvious gamble, because i doubt that you know theory of probability and your chances like 50/50). Just because for one reason: despite i skilled in probability and uncertainty, i never tried to calculate anything related to poker. So it can be interesting experience for me, i can found that there really everything like that (i mean "twice", or at least 40 %). Also, this is huge work, there science works and articles about poker game, so it will take some time for me to find a truth.

It's not even only that twice the chance , it's also the fact that he will basically know +2 cards each hand which will give him a huge advantage over the other people.

Ahaha. i really liked to read this small sentence from you. While i read "not even" i was like "ho ho, this guy is clever enough", but on "only" i was like "no, he is definitely campaign shitposter and don't know nothing about probability" and when i got to the main idea of your sentence i become like "Despite this gay is campaign shitposter, he is clever enough"  ;D (don;t be angry for me, it's some kind of joke)

From this side it's obvious that it's irrelevant
is Kvanko my alt or is it real man, just because we are friends. We know each other. So, we can open Skype or Viber and play the same as if it one of us would be an alt of another. I think you understand that important point. And now, i feel you, you want to tell something like "Ah, when don't call your friends, heh!" and on that moment, you will see this part of text:

"Why are you sure that anyone here act like that?"
 :-[ :-X :-\

I mean where proofs that Yahooo and fingmentomyass don't do the same tactic, eh? Where proofs that they don't play both with Skype and don't know cards of each other? Where proofs that you with Flagship11 will not use Skype or Viber? Or maybe you're fans of Pavel Durov and will connect through Telegram voice chat. Eh? There is no such proofs!

Until the moment we will sit at one table offline and near croupier  will be a big nigger with a pistol, no no, here A BIG NIGGER WITH A SHOTGUN who will watch on the game and kill anyone (by shooting at balls, like in Tarantino's Inglorious bastards) who tries to give some signal to another player, there is no strong proofs that someone is not using such kind of cheating.

Yeah, now i think you're going like "Hah, Johhny is right, normal dude i think, i was a bit biased about him!" But that's not all.

I will tell you only reason why we are keep playing: This is confidence and trust
I mean that i'm trust you, that you will not do such things, despite i don't know anything about you. In fact, i see your nickname at the first time. But i 'm not asking something like: "Hey, guys, why we should allowed to play members with 25 merits earned from 2018, i think they are alts of someone!". I just believe that you're not someone's alt. I trust Yahooo, fingertomyass, Steamtyme, efialtis and other. The same from their side. Everyone here trusts to other players.

And from your side, or anyone another it's very unreasonable to believe a bad person who fall into DT because wind in russian local turned to him (i just don't want to create here another thread of reputation).

So guys, don't be a douchebags and chill out  :)

P.S: Another wall of text :0

I guess so, I haven't picked my name as well but it is the same as my sportsbet nick so didn't think about it. Maybe your standard sportsbet nick is somehow in naming violation with poker table rules? Grasping at straws here.

I was playing some practice games over the weekend.. I got dealt AA, KK, AK in 3 seperate continuous hands and managed to lose all 3!! So i'd hate to be knocked out first on them AGAIN ... LOL

GL guys..

ALSO! A bit of a tip.. you will goto your tables one minute before the first hand will be dealt.

Make sure you 'allow pop ups on this site' for your browser aswell as the game starts automatically with a pop up on your screen. ( hope i explained that correctly. ) Im using Google Chrome.

I will likely skip sportsbet tourneys from here on out but once we get the series going I'll be in those.

Made it in late got into 2 hands before the break and both times I wound up against a straight lol

Can't seem to get it into full screen on the phone and will have to give up on custom bet sizing.- it's just to difficult and time consuming.

I simply cannot believe what happened to me today.

First important hand, after first 3 cards shown a guy raises, i have a straight in hand, I go all in, he's got a flush in hand. Ok, happens, let's move on. Rebuy.
Got to next table, 2nd important hand, I try to chase a guy out of the table but he pays every time, 3 diamonds are the last 3 cards, I know he has a flush now but I still have to see - of course I lose but am still in the game. I crawl to 3rd position - 3rd important hand of the game.

River is a heart, 3rd on the table. I have 2 in hand, someone goes all in, I follow, another guy follows. The 3rd guy has 2 hearts in hand too, which beat 2 of mine.

Incredible, fooking incredible.

After rebuy I couldn't sit on my table for few rounds. I got the message table is full and I could only observe the other table. After few minutes of seeing my stack getting lower without me actually playing I restarted the browser and that helped.

Anyway I am out of the tournament but maybe it is better that way. I am playing with my baby girl next to me and there was one hand where I had flush and didn't even see it so better to be out early :) Will not try to enter the next one. Enjoy it guys.

Just lost an (unneccessary) ALL-IN with JJ vs KK... well, thats poker - higher stakes I wouldnt have risked it. ;) Anyway, just made rebuy and it worked fine for me.

You take one on the chin and move on, all part of the game. But 3 times in a little bit over an hour? Well, that's next level. At least I can say I got FLUSHED OUT ;D ;D

The thing is - I was top3 overall in the last all in. So, it had to be one of 2 leaders to have these cards to bankrupt me and that happened too - so I'd say I really had shitty luck tonight.
Anybody other than these 2 guys and I'd still be sitting there with 8-9k chips.

Can't unfortunately, already made plans I can't cancel. Shame because I feel I was playing decent and would have liked another chance to go for the W.

I hope we'll keep having these, it was good fun and with a really good reward too.

Merits from me! :) Thanks for this offer and for 40 GTD tournament!
This is nice offer, but many of us still play first tournament and I will not play two in the same time, I don't like doing that. You should wait this one to end and then start next one! :)
Final table is here! We will play for hour and more probably! :)

Oooops, sorry, that was me... but I'm not passing up an opportunity like this with heart ace.  ;)  Maybe next time you'll have better luck. Anyway, it was nice of you to play along.  :)

EDIT:
GG betwrong. Nice hand to kick me out of the game.  :D ;D

GG guys that was a fairly wild final table. Super slow at times then big action at others. Not sure how bad it got I tried to keep myself on sitting out when things got crazy here at work.

At one point I was in a pit 15 feet underground, shortly after I was up a 60 foot ladder unplugging a bucket elevator.

I had 2 real good get there's I remember I think they may have both been with 77 the one was against Iv4n who had JJ.

Real cool spot was me and betwrong both with AK taking out elfiatis.

Again GG all. Thanks Steve from sportsbet for the tournament.

Can't play number 2 though, to crazy at work right now.

Congratulations for your win mate - well done! Even though I dont like you calling it a cool spot when taking me out, haha. :D Well, to be honest, A8s wasnt a hand to go all in with against you two in that situation but hey, who cares.

This was lots of fun guys and of course thanks to sportsbet for hosting us.

Nb. We will now "work" on organizing some kind of "bitcointalk poker series" with yahoo - stay tuned! ;)

How about the other tourney been setup for 6pm UTC has it been played?

I remember the first tournament I played, it was the same finale, Steamytime, Betwrong and me. Steamytime was last, and like now he survived two all ins: 1. I had AQ he had KJ, I think we saw K, and he won. 2. I had AK he was 55, he won again, make comeback and won the tournament.

This time was the same, JJ against his 77, and all the way to the last card he got straight! :) Unbeliavble!

Congrats Steamytime and Betwrong on one more awesome game! See you next time!

Yet again we had a lovely tournament there!

Congrats, Steamtyme, on winning the tournament! At one point, an hour and a half after the start, your chip stack was almost the smallest  around

https://i.imgur.com/1kOWBuW.png

and yet you managed to win in the end. My hat's off to you, mate. Good job!

Here's how the game finished for me:

https://i.imgur.com/VAQbCMP.png

Not the best board for my pocket Jacks, huh? :)

GG, everyone!

It looks like our tournament is getting bigger each time. Regarding the prize pool, it was definitely the case yesterday, thanks to Sportsbet.io.

Keep the feedback coming too guys.. I see some glitches are being found, we will report back to our supplier so they can improve.. thanks

Speaking of glitches.

It looked like we had 25 entrants, not 19.

https://i.imgur.com/aZI5KUD.png

But after counting all the chips at the final table:

102,913 + 87,400 + 59,687 = 250,000

I realized that it's the re-buys is what was counted as new entrants. So, in fact, we had 19 players and 6 re-buys.

Thanks again to everyone for participating! And thanks to Sportsbet.io for adding to the prize pool!

Looking forward to the next tournament.

How about next Sunday? :)

Tournament was fun .

Just to give some feedback , it would be really nice  if whenever someone wrote on the chat to get a bubble on top of the player who wrote with the message for example .   It's pretty difficult to keep the table chat on , as it goes on top of the call/check/raise buttons etc.

Lol cool was probably the wrong word - I think interesting suits it better.

You probably were feeling a touch pot committed and were getting decent odds on a call.  Either way GG can't wait for the next one.

Thanks. I was wondering what happened to you lol.  You showed up on my table for a bit and noticed you were sitting out so I assumed it was another late night sleep in lol; guess I was lose to right.
I fell asleep in a tournament one time I was 5 out of 120 or something woke up in the morning to having blinded out in 15th or 18th something.

Thanks. I definitely had a lot of ups and downs I remember trying for my first double up and it winding up being a split pot but I missed why. I definitely got lucky in a couple spots and was on the right side of a few flips.

As always you played a solid game.  Looking forward to the next tournament. I am available next weekend and will do a screencapture of the gameplay again.

Maybe we should start locking up these tournament topics few days after they are played out. There is really not much use for them and sooner or later someone will come along and bump them.
