Title: Anyone purchased Aliexpress laptops?
Post by: CristianOff on March 26, 2020, 04:12:43 PM
I found some nice laptops for £1,200 on aliexpress:

Xiaomi 2019 Gaming Laptop Windows 10 OS Intel Core I7 - 9750H Hexa Core 16GB RAM 512GB SSD

It also has nvidia geforce rtx 2060 6gb. The only drawback
is the chinese operating system which I can change anyway.
Has anyone ever purchased
such laptops on aliexpress and what was your experience?

Xiaomi is a well known constructor.

Make sure with the vendor that he really got the product he is announcing and not something from another brand.

Otherwise it should be good.

(I already orderded 1 laptop and it went smooth)

Xioami started to sell gaming laptops for much cheaper price compared to other popular brands but it doesn't mean it is useless. They want to build their brand on laptop section as well that is why they are ready to offer for such cheap prices. But on some youtube reviews they are questioning the durability compared to other popular brands so choice is yours to go wit it or other well known ones.

I haven't ordered but it's also popping on my wall with those ads. But the ones that appear were the cheaper ones that's why I've thought that they were scams.

But with the pricing that you have given, I think they are legit.

Exactly. They're like in the early days of Huawei, Lenovo, and Samsung and started to build their brand on laptops. If I'm about to buy, I'll consider those reviews and connect them, that will be a deciding factor for me before buying.

I didn't buy any laptop from Alli Express But I think it's better not to buy from here Electronic Goods have no guarantee that you will not be able to ship there if you encounter any problems after purchase. In that case it would be better to buy from your own place without buying from Alli Express They often give the customer a cheaper price to increase but things don't go well You will find many laptops of the same brand better than anywhere else.

Forgot to mention ali express is just the retail version of ali bhaba so no need to question their legitimacy because they are most reputed as well like amazon.

Check the review of those that had purchased to know the users experience. Problem most time is not the software but the hardware. If it has been ascertain you can proceed to purchase. I dont know about your country but since the beginning of this pandemic some countries had been confiscating some products from china. So you can find out from your mailing companies before purchase.

The only reason why i WOULDN'T recommend it, is the warranty. Yes, it says it has 1-2 years warranty, but question is, will the seller honor it? And if he does, there's postage you pay for sending it, and probably 1-2 months travel time.

Now, if you have a Xiaomi store in your country, and they are willing to honor the warranty (ask them), then it should be good.

Ali is a kind of lottery. You can buy a perfectly working product that will please you, or you can like me to buy parts for air suspension for $ 1,100 and get a badly working thrash. But here we are talking about Xiaomi, and this is still a well-known brand. So it’s unlikely they will send you a bad product. Difficulties, as mentioned above, can only be with a guarantee return, but what is the chance that it will come to this at all.

I am a fan of Chinese eshops and products and especially Xiaomi is my favorite brand.
I have never purchased a laptop from Aliexpress. I think that Aliexpress is not the best merchandiser. I prefer making order in Banggood as I think that they deliver faster. The Xiaomi 2019 Gaming Laptop Windows 10 OS Intel Core I7 - 9750H Hexa Core 16GB RAM 512GB SSD  has taken good reviews as I can see so I think that it will fully cover your needs.
