Title: When was the last time you checked your ETH Wallet
Post by: BayAngelo on March 27, 2020, 11:30:26 PM
Honestly, i use to be a big fan of cryptocurrency and a partaker in Bounties and Airdrops. this lead to the habit of checking my wallet daily for airdrops that has paid and bounties too.
the recent scams and poor projects littering the cryptospace refusing to pay hunters and affected that habit. for months, i have checked and Nothing has dropped.
seriously, I am loosing the habit. i can go two weeks without checking my wallet.

I must say that since this year, i have not received more than 3 tokens in my wallet  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
What is the essence of checking. Nothing is there. No need.

I'm pretty sure you received 888,888 KICK tokens :D

But it's good to check it every so often, especially if you do have some ETH inside, just so you know if it's still there or not.
My friend unfortunately didn't check his for like 6 months, and when finally he did, he was very dissapointed to see it empty :(

The only time I regularly check my ETH wallet is when I have funds in it (to make sure that it hasn't been hacked), otherwise what's the point of checking it?

Well if you have dozens or even hundreds of tokens inside, it's good to check every now and again if any of them have been listed, on an exchange or DEX.
You'd be surprised how many hunters don't really follow the project once distribution is done.

Some projects did listing over a year after the bounty ended, and it was a nice surprise to trade in those tokens for few extra ETH

I rarely check my wallet now.
The value of my holdings has been dropped significantly all those months. And my funds do not come from bounties and airdrops. They are pure ETH.
I only check my wallet when I see any significant upward trend of ETH in the market. Still I know that I have a negative ROI till I reach high levels of prices.

I don't usually check my wallets these days.

I'm busy looking up to the prices of bitcoin and other cryptos from time to time.

Since they pay me in eth for my work done, so i checked my mew at least once a week.
What's your job? is it a side job? maybe you can recommend some if they need more workers.  :)

It's a side job, it's a 2 to 6 months contract basis as social media community admins for some crypto related projects such as ICO,IEO,STO,ETO etc.

Where did you get the job?

Is it from a certain platform or you found out about the opening on the forum? It's a nice side job if you actually get to earn bitcoin or ETH with a decent amount as long as the project is not a scam.

I think only active wallets get tokens. I might be wrong  but i read somewhere that they scan the blockchain daily and send to wallets that had some tx

Ok.

I'm hoping that the projects you're working with might not end up into a scam. Because many projects lately show themselves as a scam at the end of their sale.

That's good to hear.

You know that most of the projects are no longer reliable because of what they've done in the past. Good luck with your side gig.

actually you have should do this long time ago mate, because the scammers are really in place from airdrops and Bounties.

the habit of checking only gives you Stress and frustration and also failure because like now you said theres nothing goes to your wallet for long time so whats the sense of waiting after all?
change this habit and only check at least once or twice a week.

I can agree to that, only active wallets received an airdrops unlike before wayback 2015 ,mostly they send airdrops even in an inactive wallets.

I check my wallet a day. Not only can we all need to check our wallets every once during a while Now the amount of scammers is high therein case security should be checked There are not any tokens added to my wallet but there are some dollars that I check daily. If Ethereum's prices go up I'll sell all of them.

After I stopped joining in bounties I dont monitor my eth wallet often now because im aware that there's no new coins coming and whats left is the shit tokens that cant be traded and just a display to my wallet. Though im holding eth, I check its progress in cmc so there's no need to open my eth wallet.

Honestly, I stopped checking my ETH Wallet altogether.

My MEW got hacked before (newbie mistake) and it was probably due to malware on my computer wherein I wasn't able to encrypt or hide my encryption key. Nowadays, I just ask my wife to check it for me since I'm using her ETH Wallet instead for transactions. ::)

Let's just say, I am doing this to ensure that I have a happy wife (which leads to a happy life), or else risk getting my ETH Wallet getting hacked again. ;D

You do not need to check your eth wallet if you do not have funds. I feel this most of the time..
If you have funds and the ethereum market price increase or decrease surely most of us will check how much profit we earn or how much money we lose.

I don't remember how long I don't check my ethereum wallet, maybe it's about one year ago or more ;D

But I check my ethereum wallet at the exchange in about one hour ago ;D

Nothing has changed in my ethereum wallet since I don't invest in anything for more than one year ago because I don't see that the new project will have their time to increase after it gets listed on the exchanges.

I must say i prefer to leave my wallet dry and empty than to see tokens like kick token inside my wallet. it is worthless. i can't trade it. the project looks suspicious.  empty wallet gives me the urge to work and earn something. in the finance world, the said nothing is free. there is nothing like free money.

the recent scams and poor projects littering the cryptospace refusing to pay hunters and affected that habit. for months, i have checked and Nothing has dropped.
seriously, I am loosing the habit. i can go two weeks without checking my wallet.

My friend unfortunately didn't check his for like 6 months, and when finally he did, he was very dissapointed to see it empty :(

i will rather prefer an empty wallet than have the 888 kick token. A token i can't send out. i can not exchange. i am unable to do anything worthy with it. what is the need to hold it. if i can unlock and give out for free. i will be the first to dash it out. Kick project is a scam struggling to develop an exchange. they have been trying all viable means to attract people to the exchange but it failed.

They created a pyramid scheme by asking for referrals. most participants were stocked on the fourth person. none were able to recruit 5 downlines. Kick was responsible for making sure No body gets 5 downliners. Now, they have introduced a buyback plan and ask people to buy the token from their exchange to qualify unlocking the 8888 drop token.

I do some bounty programs and some airdroppings so i usually check my mew twice a week lol, i know it sounds crazy but i get used to it just to check how's my coins doing inside the wallet. Hahaa
what about like now that the market is so down?feeling frustrated that you should sold them before this ?

try to prevent from checking everytime because this is sometimes Stressful and bitterness .

Almost every day. I don’t know why I'm doing this, but I have such a habit.

Yes like you I check my wallet every day It has become my practice I check daily if I have a weekly payment receipt. Also I get a lot of tokens I've worked on.
anyway thats the practice most of us doing from then but now i changed like what OP says.

I just last night because a friend of mine is inviting me to join an mlm type of business where I need to shell out .198 eth. Let's see where it will take me.  ;D
So what happen?have you gain from that investment?of just another scam or failure?

well i have checked mine again yesterday since ETH is really fluctuating now.

When was the last time you checked your ETH Wallet

Several years ago, when I removed the whole Ethereum program from my computer. Why would I do such a thing? Because there wasn't a simple GUI that worked on my W-10 OS. At least, I couldn't find it.

Bitcoin Core has a simple program for Windows. You download it and install it - the .exe - and you are on the road.

I couldn't find this for Eth. Is it available now?

About a month or more I haven't check it since I know that there is nothing new on it.
And I don't see the point of opening my wallets when I already have a portfolio to track down all of my crypto.

I check my eth wallet at least once a day because I do a lot of airdrops and faucets and I can't wait for the tokens to be credited to the wallet, I know maybe it's obsessive

I check my eth wallet a few times in a week. Sometimes, there might be some tokens that came from different places. But most of the time, they turn out to be scam or worthless. I don't know maybe there are lucky people about this too but I am not one of them.  ;D

Well for me I checked the refresh button on my cell phone before I read your thread.  I check my ether wallet at least 100 times every single day.
Some may say this is a problem but I do not mind to having this problem because I enjoy tracking all of my tokens.

Well if you have dozens or even hundreds of tokens inside, it's good to check every now and again if any of them have been listed, on an exchange or DEX.
You'd be surprised how many hunters don't really follow the project once distribution is done.

Some projects did listing over a year after the bounty ended, and it was a nice surprise to trade in those tokens for few extra ETH

actually you have should do this long time ago mate, because the scammers are really in place from airdrops and Bounties.

the habit of checking only gives you Stress and frustration and also failure because like now you said theres nothing goes to your wallet for long time so whats the sense of waiting after all?
change this habit and only check at least once or twice a week.

It's been almost 4 months that I haven't opened my ETH wallet...
Since I only joined Bitcoin-paid signature campaigns and didn't participate in social media campaigns or articles anymore, I'm lazy to open my ETH wallets anymore. for me, it's not a big deal if I don't open my eth wallet.
