Hey guys,

just like everybody else, I am forced to stay at home most of the time and I am spending lots of my free-time watching football matches (obviously my favorite sport) and reading newspapers, including several Greek sports newspapers. ;)

We are all missing football and what could be nicer than remembering some of the nicest jerseys we have ever seen... Gotta love some of these really iconic jerseys! :)

I have chosen to list some of my absolute favorite ones and some that seem to be highly popular among others - the list could be endless and I am sure some of you will bash me for having forgotten one or another great jersey. ;) Feel free to say so! :D In the end, its a matter of taste, isnt it. Please take your vote! :) And also share if some of those legendary teams/jerseys remind you of betting success stories (or unlucky failures)!

It seems you got clubs and national teams too. If you want to have it for clubs only then you will have a long list and also if you have it national team wise you will have the same list. May be you want to filter them using the club title winners or world cup winners.

And I noticed Brasil is not in your list. If we consider world football then it;s impossible that Brasil will not be there.

You have just reminded me of my national team (Nigeria) Jersey in 1996, this team did wonderfully well and had a good record to recall with during the Atlanta, so, I would love you add the team Jersey because it was one of the very best at that time. Your inspiration that brought about this thread really deserve some reward but will keep my eyes on the thread.

You have just started using your self compulsory quarantine meaningfully compared to myself that get hurt few weeks ago, I gambled my only #30,000 (NGN) meant for the family, but seeing you doing some good thinking this time amazes me, keep it up comrade.

My personal favourite over the years has got to be the Brazil national team.
But for this poll I’d have to go for Barcelona - iconic kit AND the last major European team to get a sponsor , I believe they managed to hold out until 2010/2011 ? before getting a sponsor ! Before that they had UNICEF for free for a couple of years - a class act and kudos to them .

I'd say Barcelona had the much vote here well pretty much to say that their Jersey from 2005-2006 was really catchy to the eyes but I have voted for the England 1990 it sure looks like an umpire than a players uniform but I think it is extravagant than any other uniform there is, well this is just an opinion of mine and should say that you can surely wear it even if you had to go outside for a walk and I also like the color blue pattern from the shirt.

Why don't you just let people choose on what football jersey they think most beautiful themselves? We all know that there are too many football jerseys in the world. It seems not fair if you just pick only those jerseys in your list above. The option is too few (very limited) and seems to force people to choose one of them only.

*I think it will be better if the title: "What is the most beautiful jersey on your favorite football club (or country)".

I'll go with the classic Argentina jersey way back.

But that Barcelona jersey from 2005-2006 remains me when I was still working with an international company because many of my co-workers back then (obviously a die-hard fan) was wearing that jersey going to work. Seeing them wearing it at cafeteria, talking about their team, "those were the days".

I chose Milan(93-94) because my favorite colors are red and black and I am a big fan of Inter Milan in general. Germany's black jersey is also one of my favorite ones though it isn't a part of your list and I have no idea when they actually wore them.

We need more of these threads to liven up the forum during these dark days in my opinion.

Seems Barcelona has top voted at the moment. but, I like parma because I have one > Juan Sebastian Veron number 11, my first football custom and have a good memory about that.

Well, your list have some interesting and beautiful jersey but non listed above are my favorite therefore I didn't cast my vote via the poll. The lockdown is definitely having it's effect on me too, so you're not alone on this one, the boredom is just too much. Few days back I remember watching some previous played matches and it occurred to me I haven't noticed how stylish some of the footballers keep their hair and remember googling footballers with the cutie haircut and more related topics pop up which resulted to me spending about 30mins plus on the net.

Back on topic about beautiful jersey ever, I'll be nominating Nigeria national team world cup jersey 2018, it's one the beautiful jersey I have seen been used to play football and obviously the inspiration for the jersey was from the jersey the 1996 world cup squad wore which introduced Nigeria to the world as one of the strongest force from Africa.

I have some favorites in fact. But if I have to choose one of these, I always prefer Parma's jersey.
Barcelona and Inter Milan jersey also looks good all the time for me.

Jarsey Inter Milan is my favorite so far, every season I always want to have the latest jarsey and I will save it for my collection and memories later.

There is so much every year for each club's jersey that I think it's only Inter Milan that there is no change and that is just a little

I voted for England 1990, just for the design in general. It's an abstract look and it's quite modern during that time though.

nice topic, i also voted for England 1990, it was a pitty that they did not won the world championship that year, that missed it in semi-final, but good year for England no matter what, i would also add

I'm of those that voted for the England 1990. This is the jersey that I liked the most compared to all the options that you provided. If I may, my favorite jersey that is not available in your list is the 2014 Adidas Germany Home.  ;)

Thank you! I love this initiative. I agree that Brazilian Jersey is missing. The favorite jerseys of my family group are Inter, Barcelona, Brazil, Argentina, and Real Madrid. They are beautiful and they make all the fans proud, especially the children. We love Soccer with God's favor soon we will enjoy it again.

Barcelona's football jersey is very iconic, the red and blue color really represents their logo exactly. If you see the red and blue in vertical stripes, the first thing that will come in to your mind is the Barcelona, even in any sports that I've watched, I see Barcelona as red and blue. The second to my favorite football jersey is from Mexico because of its aesthetic color combination, the mossy green, white and red makes it more iconic and is very eye-catching to the audience. I remember that my uncle once had this and he put it into auction and sell it to a certain amount of money which is big enough for a vintage football jersey. Hoping that they use vintage and iconic football jersey again in the next FIFA after this Covid-19 pandemic.

Brazilian jersey doesn't have especially color, just yellow and green at the neck. but it has special 5 stars (the winner of the world cup 5 times) figured logo which another jersey team haven't

I think Mexico 1998 is the most beautiful Jersey... Because I have never seen an uncommon Jersey like this. Look at the Jersey. There are many arts on the Jersey. Other countries Jerseys are normal and as usual. But that Jersey is totally unique and classy.  ;D ;D
