Could this be a Meteor that hit the earth. Car explosion doesn't dig a hole like that, as the energy from the explosion expands through the easiest way possible, in this case, around it and up. Usually, a fire breaks out of the sky when such a hole occurs on the ground. This is called a blast of fire All the cars there will be mixed with the ground.

I believe is just a natural disaster.
