Title: Moderator of beginners & help board, MiningBuddy
Post by: Rengga Jati on March 31, 2020, 03:30:08 AM
I've just checked the account of the moderator of beginners & help board, MiningBuddy (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=14001). I'm surprised to know that he isn't active for a long time. According to his profile, Last Active: April 04, 2018. To be honest, I don't have the intention to bother him unless just curious about it. As far as I know, a moderator has an obligation to monitor regularly.

*If we look at his profile, his position seems no longer a moderator, just a Hero Member. But why his name is still written as a moderator on the front page (check the first picture above)? Is he on temporary leave?

Please check the past proposal on it.
[Proposal] Change The Moderator of Beginners & Help (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5120177). Maybe theymos does not intend to add a new moderator for that board or it is already allocated to global moderators, or it is at low priority of theymos.
He was removed as a moderator. Please see the answer from hilariousandco

Why does it take so long to remove inactive Mods? I understand that it is difficult to add new mods, but an inactive Mod ends up being a risk as well.

As I said, he was removed as a mod a long time ago. Theymos just hasn't removed his name from there and only he can do that. It's the same with the Press board.
