Title: Memory lane (best match you gambled on)
Post by: BIT-BENDER on March 31, 2020, 08:56:14 AM
As corona virus pandemic has halted what we have passion for let's all go down memory lane and recall those epic match that we gambled on and will never forget it win or lose

Well mine still gives me chills down my spine when I remember it.
It was a champions league encounter between FC Barcelona and Paris saint Germain. A second leg encounter with almost all hope lost for Barcelona due to the first leg, but I still went for them progressing, and wow was it not the best match of my lifetime, what's yours

There is a Champions League final that I can never forget. The match Milan - Liverpool in 2005 was very important to me. I made a bet for Milan in the first half. And the first half of the match ended 3-0. Then I made the next goal of Liverpool with live betting. And Liverpool scored a goal. Then again I made the next goal of Liverpool. He also won.

I made very good money and after that point I started enjoying the game. The only losing bet of the night was Milan wins when penalties were thrown at the end of the match. But I have never enjoyed this much in my life.

For esports gamblers, everyone will understand that it will always be the best match during The Internationals.

TI 2018 and 2019 can be said as the best because the same team became the champion on that tournament.

World Cup 2014 semi-final: Germany vs Brazil!

I will never forget that match since it is my favorite match of all-time. I am a fan of Germany and bet on them to win and I was shocked to see them decimate Brazil in such an insane manner.

Expected it to be a shut-out match at one point. Felt great watching it live.

For me, in eSports Dota 2 Championship in The International 2019.
That was really incredible, for the whole tournament, I just keep watching and analyzing every team and me just able to calm my hands to not gamble until the championship. And I made it, I was able to gamble in the championship, my whole balance in my one time deposit I gamble on who will be the champion, and I made it, really well-prepared and unforgettable.

Mostly all Manny Pacquiao fights. The lastest one was:

Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman.
I won a whopping decent amount in this match up.

Not really online bet but it was with my friends back in 2015 LOL championship.
All of my bet was on SKT and it didn't disappoint me they win as the champion of the tournament.
I enjoyed watching their games at the same time I am winning my bets.

I can understand what you really feel during that moment.

As a fan, we're all in the hype session during the entire run of the tournament. All of the matches are worth to watch and bet and mostly the finals was a big blast and surprise. OG didn't look tired and it didn't make them difficult to win the championship.

cannot remember better example than Shakhtar with Atalanta, last match in the group of this year Champions league, my bet was that Atalanta could go further, and they needed a win in this match, which came surprisingly easy, 0:3 at the end, and after that they kicked-out my favorite team Valencia in knock-out stage

I still couldn't forget the Super Bowl match between the Patriots and Falcons. Pats were down by several touchdowns still manage to force things in overtime and win the game.

In esports, The International 8 grand finals was the best one for me I lost the bet but i'm amazed how OG with their new players took down LGD.

While many here will talk about Champions League or some other bigger event mine was a lower division in England where I did bet quite a high amount because I had a strange feeling that day.It was a game where Northampton won 0-4 against Reading quite a few years ago.I had it Northampton to win in both half of the games and also over 3.5 goals. The odd was about 9 in total and I had bet 300 Eur back in the days by winning almost 2700 Eur,my biggest win so far from a sport event.

A very impressive match for me was the 2010 UCL match between Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich that I could not forget because I won a big bet when the match happened, well even though I haven't known this forum but I have long liked football betting until now .
With that great victory I felt a dream because I saw the Inter Milan game so great that season that it was even able to conquer Barcelona in the semi-finals.

My best and most memorable match that i gambling was that of UEFA Champion's League Final 2016-2017 Juventus Vs Real Madrid. After betting on the match, i decided to watch it with my friend. Every other person in the room was supporting Juventus except me. There was too much tension especially after Mandžukić  equalized after an early C. Ronaldo goal.

Real Madrid would then go ahead and win the match by 4 goals to 1  :)

Not really a traditional sport but rather an esport, particularly Dota 2. It was in 2016 when this relatively-unknown Chinese team Wings Gaming dominated the scene. Seeing them play in the qualifiers, I decided that I will support their team along the way, especially since I was really hooked and amazed by their unconventional drafting. After 2 losses in the whole main event, I decided to go all-in on their team against Digital Chaos. I wish I could still pull up that bet slip but it gave me a few thousand dollars in BTC and an extra few thousand dollars in in-game items. I wouldn't forget that moment when DC called gg and I see my slip being graded green.

Wish I could do those things again but yeah, life happened.

The greatest comeback in NBA Finals: 2016 Finals between Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors

If my memory served me right:

Website: Directbet.eu
Prior Finals: I've placed a bet for Cavaliers to win the Series @ 4
After being down by 1-3: Cavaliers to win the Series @ 7 (Who will pick this kind of crazy pick? Me lol)

This is so far the risky pick I made in my whole basketball betting history (not the one I did for Mavericks @1.2 with a bet of BTC0.05 lol - I won btw)

Oh I've made some good money picking underdogs in the last several years in boxing.

One of the most memorable ones was the fight between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz, as soon as AJ got knocked down in the third(?) round, I put down a substantial sum that Ruiz would KO AJ within the next four rounds, this was done before the bookies were able to update their fight odds, so the odds of a knockout were still around 40/1 for each round at that point.

I bet a good amount on the KO in round 4, 5, 6 and 7, and walked away with around 10x my wager (which was quite a decent sum).

Overall, that's both the biggest win from a sportsbetting event and one of the best picks I've made so far.

Game I will never forgot - IIHF World Championship 2008 that was in Canada (“homeland” of ice hockey). Finals between Russia and Canada. I’ve bet on Russia.

In the first perion Canada was leading 4:0. Second period 0:0. Third period started, after few minutes still 3:0 in favor of Canada. I thought that was it, felt upset and went to shower. Was planning to go to city bar and grab some beer. I clearly remember neighbors screaming/cheering. I was like big deal, its still 4:1 and little time till the end. When I got back to tv it was 2:4 already. I simply froze to the sofa, wearing wet towel. Third period ended 4:4

I have closed my eyes, imaging Russia winning (just imaging, because Canada was strong that year, they play home and everyone is cheering for them).

When OT started, both team played 4 vs 4, when suddenly, NHL biggest star and MVP Rick Nash made a terrible mistake - he accidentally threw the puck over the glass. That’s a 2min penalty... in game of such level and teams it was it. Russia scored in nearest second and won gold medals.

It was long awaited gold medal after years of being on 2-4 place. Russia must have celebrated that for 2 days.

This is a bad memory for me to be honest lol.
I had predicted with so much confidence that Manchester city would beat totenham hotspur 2:0 in the 2018/2019 season

And with so much confidence, i went ahead to watch the match, 5 minutes in Foden scored already, i was elated, all smiles.

But alas, until the final whistle, city did not score a second goal, perhaps it hurts so much, i do not remember other wins.

TI 2018 and 2019 can be said as the best because the same team became the champion on that tournament.

Every TI do really give me goosebumps when it comes to betting specially when its already on the main event or the final days.

The one which i cant forget is TI6 and TI7 where i do make use of item bettables which overall cost thousand USD.

It was GS Warriors vs Toronto Raptors Series 2019 where one by one, Raptors were proving themselves and I was losing my bets on GS Warriors as they were not up to the mark and losing all the matches which made them lose by 4-2 to Raptors. Hated that time when I trusted this team a lot but they didn't play well.

into to those wins. There are still some games that i do make big profits maybe 3-4 basketball games but not big as this one and after that
i didnt make any big wins.  :'(

The best match that I have bet on would be Pacquiao vs Thurman, the fight was hyped up by Thurman talking about how he will make Pacquiao retire, that got me interested because only few people do a diss and be confident enough to say that he will win against Pacquiao, it was a good fight and my bet was on Pacquiao, the fight lasted and I thought Thurman would win because he is being aggresive but in the end it all ended in a decision. That was my biggest win when I bet and by far it is the most memorable, only second to the Croatia vs France in FIFA finals.

Yeah, same. I waited for so long until my favorite team OG had a place in the Grand Finals and I'm so excited because they already proved their name in eSports Dota 2 Championship in TI 2018 and I'm confident that they will still get that title. OG line up is very coordinated and the strategies are really unpredictable that's why they win against this PSG.LGD team with a score of 3-2.

This 2019, Notail and ana really did a good job as well as Topson, Ceb and JerAx, they completely dominated their opponent Team Liquid. This is the time where I betted half of my money in OG because I believed in them so much. This is the most memorable part of my gambling history where I just trusted and make my childhood game as a basis of my betting. I was really anxious that time but still I focused on the possible outcomes, and the reason why I'm confident is that they already did it in TI 2018 against the PSG.LGD.

After they won in TI 2019 Championship, I considered it as my memorable gambling experience and I've never thought that being a gamer will give me some profit. They finished Team Liquid with a score of 3-1 in favorable of my favorite team OG. It is unforgettable and every time I remember it, I'm still overwhelmed about their success.

I remember when I bet my 0.3btc on Golden State Warriors in 2016, the same with your betting history. I'm confident that time that GSW will become a back to back champion, but sadly it didn't work that way. Bogut suddenly become injured and Golden State had a hard time replacing Bogut as Tristan Thompson is really on fire that matchup. In Game 5, Draymond Green is unable to play because of his issues and got temporary banned from playing. This is memorable for me because I really not expecting that Golden State Warriors will have a hard time playing this 2016 FINALS.

But on the other hand, still Stephen Curry did his best that time just to prove that they can't be beaten by the complete roster Cleveland Cavaliers but still they fail to defend their title. Stephen Curry also had a hard time that year when he can't shoot 3 with his own hands. My 0.3 btc got wasted and I have nothing to do with that because that was very unexpected to happen as I'm very confident to bet for them.

That TI 2018 is the best cinderella run in the history of esports, I can confidently say that.

But no one, I mean no one expected it. It is the best game I bet on but I lost in it so I think that would not count. My best bet I think is in esports too> My friend invited me to bet on the game of CSGO, Eleague Boston Major 2018 where Cloud9 won. Not expecting that too since it is one of the upsets of the esports history and the first major of North America in CSGO. They are against Faze and at that time and they are a superstar roster if you ask me, until now.

As a boxing fan? Of course Manny Pacquiao, his latest fight against Keith Thurman.

I have bet online and then I go to physical casino as well to make a bet and then through our locals as well. And then Toronto beating Sixers last season, I had my bet on Toronto and I see people writing them off. I also made a lot of good money when they won when Kawhi hit that miraculous shot. And then they continue their run, ( I didn't bet against my Warriors, LOL). But I could also made money, but it's all good.

back on the year 1994 ? wow that was too long  . means that 100 usd are pretty expensive that time , not to mention that you are just a kid because kids rarely get their hands of hundred dollars but even adults too thesedays can rarely hold a 100 usd because the state of our economy now which is the items are now too costy  . not a fan of boxing but i better love wrestlings , and speaking of wrestling i have made a bet on this last time with my friend and i won . even if its a small price but the moment was unforgetable to me because im now away from that friend of mine

To be honest 100% I have never remembered any matches in the past that have given me a victory and also a big defeat. But even so, I still remember the moments before and after getting the victory and also the big losses, because moments like this that I think will be very valuable to be a memory and not about what matches give us profit and loss, yes I know it is something the difference is in each individual and this is only from my own perspective.

Not so. Lately, I just able to do some eSports gambling which is more on Dota 2 tournaments.
It is still a gamble once I gamble at the end, it's just a strategy for me like I am observing/analyzing first before I will bet my hard-earned money, which is that is extremely risky if you will just bet on random without analyzing or without your reasons why you bet on that/this, it could lower the risk.

If it's talking about best odds, then I've got a couple the past two seasons betting against Manchester City and winning around 25/1 stakes. That would be Newcastle last season and Norwich this season. 2-1 and 3-2 wins, if I recall correctly.

But last season's 20/1 odds of Liverpool progressing against Barcelona (this was after they lost the first leg 3-0) was probably the best, as it wasn't just money riding on the game, but a lot of emotion too. I cheered every goal so crazily, best scene after the 4th goal (corner, walk away, scamper back, kick, head, goal!) was Robbo giving Messi a whack on the back of his head LOL.

As corona virus pandemic has halted what we have passion for let's all go down memory lane and recall those epic match that we gambled on and will never forget it win or lose

The 2012 champions league finals between Chelsea and Bayern Munich has to be the best game I have placed a bet on so far and not because it was the highest payout but it came with a feeling that I don't think I'll ever feel in a very long time. It was the first time Chelsea even won the champions league and that was just the second time we're getting to the finals.

The first attempt was against Manchester United which we lost. The game played out great, my team won, my bet entered.

2013 NBA Finals

Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs (Game 6)

If you are a fan of either team or a basketball fan in general, it's hard to forget that three-pointer made by Ray Allen in the dying seconds to tie the game and send it to overtime. Spurs were about to be crowned the 2013 Finals champ but Allen broke many of Spurs fans hearts that day. I remember we stopped working in the office that time and were shouting out of joy when his shot went in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr6XsZVb-ZE

Another memorable one is that Kawli Leonard's "lucky bounce" shot in last year's Game 7 playoffs between Raptors and 76ers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CROx4XvLJTk

Those were intense games but I won pretty good on both occassions.

As far as I remember the biggest bet that makes me an uncommon nervousness is the match of TNC and OG in Ti6 in the year 2016. It is the biggest bet that I have placed and TNC that time is one of the underdogs of Dota 2. As a countryman of TNC, I placed a bet on TNC. That time I am really taking up a big risk considering that OG is one of the biggest teams in the tournament until TNC makes the biggest upset in the Dota 2 history by winning that Ti. Also, this bet is one of my biggest wins in betting.

My best game that I have gambled on was on the ESports in which the team that I have betting has been underdog meaning there has a very low chance that they will win on the match that I have been predicted but what happens next was they comeback their enemy and eventually won. The odds of the game was approximately 1:6 so I have gain a lot of profit by that.

I think the best and epic sports betting match that i remember is the NBA 2019 final playoffs between the Raptors and the Warriors that the score is 114-110. Good thing that me and my friend bet on the Raptors because we assume that it will reach in the game 7 and we didn't expect that they will beat the Warriors in the playsoffs. Kawhi Leonard is the real mvp that game and we all happy about it.

I thought it was an easy question but suddenly I cannot remember them all.
This is due to me betting on a lot of underdogs.  ;D
Mostly was basketball and then some in boxing at a lower weight division.

Last thing I remember which I won was like betting for the Detroit Pistons with a huge sum.
They are underdogs and there is no doubt about that since they are getting weaker.
But with DRose there, a miracle could happen.
So I did. I think it was @8.00.

Damn, I am getting forgetful.

Maybe it's not about being forgetful, I don't think I'm forgetful but then,  I don't remember any per se. I mostly gamble on parlays, and I hit them pretty often, but I still don't have a specific one whichbI vividly remember except probably one of a few weeks back where I could have hit about 1500x + odds, I got just 2 points short in a NBA game.

I remember a bet that I thought I would lose all my capital, but instead, I won the bet with high odds. I have a time where I tried to bet on the underdogs just for fun and hoping they could beat their competition. As this was starting, there was a tennis match that I don't even know who the players are and just did. I bet the wrong amount, adding another zero to the supposedly ten mBTC only. I was unfortunate because I know most of my bets where losing, but a miracle happened, and the underdog won, and I won a lot of BTC. I was so happy about that.

In 2016, I made my biggest bet and lost $12000 in single game. The betting choices was over 3 Asian handicap total goals. Unfortunately, the match result ended with 2-0 score and I lost all my balance in single bet just for fun. Stubborn people should stay away from gambling/betting.

I don't remember every single CS:GO match I've ever gambled on, but one that was a big upset and was a massive win for me was NiP vs Vega Squadron at the first ELEAGUE Major main qualifier in 2016. Vega Squadron ended up winning almost 16-2 again NiP, and HLTV even shows you the scale of this upset (click for match link) (https://www.hltv.org/matches/2307209/nip-vs-vega-squadron-eleague-major-main-qualifier). NiP was considered one of the top teams in the world at the time, and Vega was still on the come up at the time. I didn't bet an extremely large amount on Vega, but it was funny and surreal at the same time that NiP was choking so hard.

That's a lot of money to lose on a single game.
But do you mean that this was your betting amount or this was the money that you will be getting if you had won this bet?
If the first option is the right one, then you tried your luck to lose your money instantly.

Not sure if I understand it correctly, Raptors and Warriors met at the finals and the game didn't proceed to game 7 as Raptors beats the Warriors at
game 6, Good for you for betting for the raptors as they are really lucky since most of the stars of Warriors are injured from that series.

You understand it correctly. I also didn't expect that the finals will end in the game 6 because mostly the finals always ends in game 7, that is why i lose that time because i assume that the golden states will won in game 6. Also, It is really sad for every NBA fans that the playoffs have postponed because of the virus.

Since everybody here have good memories in sports bet game. My best memories in gambling is playing online poker in a crypto casino that i think i won a hundred of dollars by just bluffing my opponents that i have a high card on my hand, that is why they mostly fold their carda and leave the table. It is really funny that night because all of my opponents was so easy to fool.

This is tough to remember as I engage in lots of unforgettable winning matches. Truly against all odds and the risks is worth it.

One notable win I experienced is when the Golden State Warriors came back from a 1-3 deficit against the Oklahoma City Warriors. It's not on the crypto sportsbook but rather a fiat bookie here in our country. The odds are around @4 to Warriors prior to the start of Game 5 for Moneyline and @6 for the series. I like to only bet for Moneyline but decided to take risks into another level and I hit it.

It's just one of my greatest bet that I take the risks.

cannot remember better example than Shakhtar with Atalanta, last match in the group of this year Champions league, my bet was that Atalanta could go further, and they needed a win in this match, which came surprisingly easy, 0:3 at the end, and after that they kicked-out my favorite team Valencia in knock-out stage
Amazing match against Valencia they really dominated the match in both legs encounter they had and had moved on to the next stage. Well only hindered by yes we know what corona virus.

Happened many times with me when I am almost busted and I pick a high odds bet just in sort of frustration and that bets clicks right and I win and get back to some recovery so yeah happened with me too.

For me being an e-sports bettor I remember when I had a bet on fanatic and they were down by almost 2 games and then they came back massive which was bone chilling experience not just because I won but because they are my favorite team at times.

In proper sports I remember betting on Djokovic in the finals against Thiem and thought it would be a cakewalk over Thiem but we all know how strong Thiem proved to be and somehow Djokovic managed to win by getting his mind together in the last set, that was great experience for me.

Betting 12 grands on a single game is actually pretty amazing and I never made that big of a single bet I believe and yeah when we bet for over x.5 goals then it always feel like time is running away and panic happens. I almost never bet on over goals because I feel like it's much easier to pray/expect goals not to happen rather than more goals to happen.

For me it was a cricket match, I never had a big amount on it but the match itself is still fresh in my memory, I made a bet for England to win the world cup and I still remember I was almost frozen during the super over that was itself tied and how the extra runs were given and what all happened, I recommend any cricket fans to just watch it, that's out of this world!

Well am your rival am a Barcelona fan.... Lol
The match was a tough one even if the final score the now show that.
That was a fantastic era for the real Madrid. I even started to think the trophy was there birth right.
Interesting game I must say

Game 6 of the 2013 NBA finals where I won $200. It was a very quiet but busy day at work as we were making reports with a deadline coming up. I was following the game thru play-by-play online. I surprisingly shouted when Rey Allen hit that 3-pointer that sent the game into an overtime. My strict old lady boss was shocked as I was walking away to take a break.😂

The match that I will never forget was when Spain won the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
I did not see it live but the emotions I felt were great.
The happiness that watching and sharing our favorite sports gives us is incredible.

I always feel that in CS:GO anything can happen maybe it is because the level is close for all players or maybe there is some matching fixing or anything involved but betting on favorite team is a big NO for me because I am quite sure that the underdog team will at least win 1 map in 8 out of 10 matches and getting crazy odds is normal.

I still wonder how sometimes Navi looses to small teams but beat Astralis and other top teams. Always has been a dilemma and I feel that maybe it is because big teams prepare big for bigger matches while being reckless against the underdog teams and that might be the only reason behind such chokes. Another thing that matters a lot is teamwork because we have seen how an average team can a menace if they are well coordinated.

Betting on an underdog is sometimes I consider a crazy move unless they have the history that can possibly defeat the mainstream teams. Getting crazy odds is one of the other reasons why someone is betting on an underdog. Upset happen greatly on esports games and we can't really be sure what team will win on a game.

Not my most memorable matches, but I bet on Atalanta in all these matches, and was very happy they won. The fact they even got the return leg was even better, as most people expected them to just sit back and rest on their immense goal cushion. I mean yeah, Valencia got their away goal but still needed to win 3-0, so once Atalanta already scored, I thought they'd sit back and settle for the draw. 4-1 home and then 4-3 away? Yeah, pretty special but my pick of then bottom-team SPAL to beat Atalanta (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5011930.msg53656963#msg53656963) is one of my favourites from La Liga this season, the odds were 14/1 on a high-scoring Atalanta team against a team that forgot how to score, so I booked nice money there;)

For esports gamblers, everyone will understand that it will always be the best match during The Internationals.

TI 2018 and 2019 can be said as the best because the same team became the champion on that tournament.

Every TI do really give me goosebumps when it comes to betting specially when its already on the main event or the final days.

The one which i cant forget is TI6 and TI7 where i do make use of item bettables which overall cost thousand USD.
I remember the upset for OG on TI6 and the best run for Liquid for TI7.

Yes, the freshness of the depart of Fly and S4 from OG to EG, made OG stronger.

I do thought of OG that time as a weak team but we're all surprised how they made it look easy, same as TI9.

Certainly i dont like remembering the losses but there was one way that actually made me sleepless because of my all in bet because i know the team would win (possibly) but it was not 100% sure.
Especially when the money i've wage is the money im going to use to buy stuff and necessities for my family. It was really a huge risk.
Luckily my speculation was correct and i didn't waste the money and starve to death.

the most memorable gambling day of my life.

To be honest, I don't have so much experience in gambling so I think the best memory I have while gambling is when I played with my friends. I am not really used in gambling so I don't play so often, I only play once a week or sometimes nothing in one week something like that, I only play when my friends invited me to do so, I am just playing because of fun and as we all know playing with friends is the happiest moments we ever had while playing, especially for the gamblers like me but it is what compulsive gamblers think, they don't care with others they are just playing because of money or because of the reward they may have when playing.
