Can you explain what you specifically mean by "Bitcoin based"? If you meant Bitcoin forks[1], then you can probably check the original codebase of a certain coin. Mostly though, Bitcoin forks mostly has the word "Bitcoin" in their name(BitcoinCash, BitcoinSV, etc), and these projects are mostly transparent in telling people that the project is a fork of Bitcoin; mostly in their websites/whitepapers.

If you are talking about the concept, then the entire crypto market is based on the concept of bitcoin. There are coins who have added extra features to the basic concept of bitcoin but bitcoin is the pioneer cryptocurrency.

But please specify what do you mean by "based on bitcoin". It will help us to provide "to-the-point" answer!

Bitcoin-based could be 2 things...

A fork of bitcoin like Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, etc...

Or a coin who was built from the mail code of bitcoin like DogeCoin, Litecoin, etc...

Here is a resource that shows coins derived from Bitcoin, though it is a few years out of date. Also, it displays well in Chrome, but it might have problems in other browsers.
