BitcoinDream and some other people tried to get our local subboard for a long time. We were facing a lot of problems without a seperate board, it was not possible to post everything on a thread.
But now we have seperate board for Bengali. Thank you theymos for adding this.

Let's hope it's not one of those April 1st tricks  :D
Anyway congratulations on you guys getting a locale subboard. Posting all different kind of stuff in one thread sucks indeed especially if there are many folks posting.

It's really impossible to post everything on a single board.
An important post was lost when a page was change.
It is difficult to find a helpful post from a single board.

Speaking of local boards, Theymos should've also added an Atlantis boards for April fools. I like the current "virus is s̴͜͠p̶̰͝r̷̰̅e̶̦̽a̵̼͂d̴͉̑ỉ̷̖n̸̙̏g̷̬͝" gag though.

Looks like you are the moderator of that sub board and congrats on achieving that  ;). Keep it clean and tidy so that i will have less work pressing the report button ;D.

This time around there is no such shocking concept from theymos may be because of the COVID 19 spreading around the world.

It's really a great achievement for Us and we are thankful because of adding Our Bengali Subboard.I think we are the best to contribute in this forum and we deserve a separate Subboard and at last we got it by theymos.

Damn, I was looking for Bengali local board for a few minutes like a fool after I saw this topic. I didn't understood where it's hidden :D. I thought about April 1st, but didn't thaught that's a joke, because this topic looked too serious for me. :D

Well let wait and see what happen after today April 1st as April fool is in full force in the forum,  but any time from tomorrow I will offer you guys my congratulatory message,  it's not an easy task to achieve a sub board on the forum.

The board has been minted as an NFT and a digital form (as a board). So, no april fool.

We also want theymos to add a Pakistani local board too but not on the 1 April day. 

Having a local board on the April fool days is not sustainable  :D

I think instead of having a separate Pakistani board, there be a Hindi board (for all Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani) who speaks Hindi, a Bengali board (for all Indian and Bangladeshi bengalis) and a Urdu board (for all Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi Urdu speakers), and maybe a Tamil/Telugu board that would cover it up mostly. The Indian board is a mess because India itself has so many languages but only few are dominant and really hard to navigate to reach to people of any particular language people.

The local boards are not segregated on the basis of the languages but on the basis of the country. The local boards are meant for the discussion of the local nationals on local issues and/or advertisements of the local projects/services and it does not matter if they speak multiple languages.

I beg to differ. The Spanish local board for example is covered on a language basis, being common to those members who wish to express themselves in Spanish, be they from Spain, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea Guatemala, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela (but not limited to these). In practice, we seems to have a rather small representation of some of these countries, but it’s certainly not delimited to Spain.
What’s more, other official languages used in Spain such as Basque and Catalan are managed as separate threads on the "other languages" board.

There may be a certain local scope of the topics treated by the underlying countries on the board, but in general terms, the common denominator is to facilitate people expressing themselves in a particular language with ease, and topics can and will often be similar to those that are found on the general English boards.

It's exactly the same situation in Croatian board. We do have some specific topics related to crypto businesses in Croatia, but we also have members from Ex-Yugoslavia (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia etc) countries that all understand our language well as its very similar (some would say that it's the same language but that's the topic for another conversation) and since they don't have their own local board, they write in "ours". And it works pretty good I must say, to everyone's benefits.

So yeah, the thing that @UmerIdrees said about local boards being segregated by countries an not by languages isn't true at all.

It was not about true or false, this was my perception and thinking on how the local boards works but i didn't know that the boards can be segregated on the basis of languages. A few examples above help me understood this phenomena and it is better too as it can bring all the people together who speak the same language irrespective of the country they live.
