Ethereum 2.0 may not have launched yet, but co-founder Vitalik Buterin has big plans for ethereum over the next decade. Revealed to us in a tweet he made on 18 March 2020, Vitalik laid out a road map for us of what we can expect from ethereum.

What are your thoughts on Vitaliks road map?

I think it was the right decision that was made vital for etherum. because for a large development must take a long time and also testing so that it really is ready at launch later and there are no failures. coupled with the present situation where a pandemic corona is attacking the world. I think Vitalik has made the right decision, and we don't need to rush to wait for the results of Ethereum 2.0

Isn't it too early for him to think about what will ethereum be for the next decade? There was a lot of things that need to be solved, as far as i know, if so many people are still waiting for the POS implementation. I think from your article that says if vitalik is also saying to focus on the next update of ethereum.

I haven't seen yet the road map and everyone is waiting for his update for Ethereum. I've been holding it and still believe that something great will push Ethereum up.
If this is what's needed to be done on his part, I hope that he'll fulfill the deliverables.

I am sure that after the official road map is released there will be a good improvement because there are many people waiting for the update but until now there is still no news when it will be released.
I will be the same as you will continue to hold for a long time and I think this is a good thing when prices are low we need to hold more for big profits in the future.

Good, a old project that wants to reshape it's features and here we all are waiting for new projects because they are meant to beat old projects, it doesn't matter, this projects (ETH) shows that old projects that we already trust can become better like we hoped for from new projects

The problem I see with Ethereum and the people behind it, is change of development plan. They have huge plan for the project but are not sure of how they are going to achieve it, Ethereum developers do not have the huge war chest they use to seat on because they waste most of the good years, the budget is already big and I do not know how many years they have left to burn the remaining funds they are sitting on

I prefer Ethereum over other coins just because it seems to be the real and most serious blockchain and crypto project to me with developers working all over the world for ethereum network makes it the most advanced compared to new ones, also i like their features like tokenization, smart contracts, applications in AI and IoT and with POS algorithm coming things seem super bright for Ethereum in next couple of years.

And we are of those people that have been waiting long for the update. It's been a long time and it's expected to be implemented soon but it won't be easy for Vitalik so we can't do anything but to wait and understand the procedure. I have the option to sell it at any time but with this news that pops about Vitalik and roadmap makes me hold it a bit and wait for the result.

Good road map and everything seem really achievable. Any update on ethereum would just be on the positive note and people or holders can't wait for any improvement on the network that would affect the efficiency if of transactions pretty soon. 

This is a dream of a roadmap - so much needs to change that cannot be - how will changing the cryptographic protocols work for old wallets

Pick a project that has already achieved all this - and with proof - Temtum for example

except the current situation could get worse and I think to reach the road map would be a little difficult. I am worried that some updates that have been prepared later will be delayed because of the deteriorating market.

In any case, you need to think in the distant future. Of course, Ethereum 2.0 is a very serious improvement and requires a good preparation to implement it. No matter how much I read about these improvements, I always find something new. They said earlier that they will be introduced in July, on the anniversary of ethereum, but Vitalik said that it is possible to do this earlier. Now, a specific date is not called. I would like to quickly see the updated ethereum.

Eth project is a lifetime work. Vitalik explained how crucial to developed their network. One thing I like with their platform is they are open for suggestion and new optimization that could fit on them. Yes, the roadmap takes forever but let us remember how btc achieved its position. Many here dont like the idea of eth, and still a bitcoiner but lets face it. Eth has contributed a lot of help in blockchain works.

No disrespect to the road map and it is indeed a sign of good things to come, but as investors we need to be conscious of our immediate times.
There is no need to be fud or fomoing about the 2.0 yet, because

1. it is yet to happen
2. Anything is possible in crypto currency.

So figure out your trading protocols, and don't invest based on news, always dyor, because sometimes rumours sells than a news.

If Vitalik shows his view on Ethereum in 5-10 years, then probably he has already got plans for "<5 years" ? Right ? Anyone knows them ?

Also I've noticed "No more PoW" - I'm not a miner, could someone explain. To switch from PoW to PoS, do miners need to change their hardware and how it will influence on their income?

People have big hopes of ETH 2.0 because most of them believe this so called version will skyrocket 8)

Moving ETH from the ETH 2.0 Blockchain to the old ethereum Blockchain May once again be possible in the short term, also it will become more expensive than before. And I believe this technology will be very easy and the transactions speed would be more faster than the old one.

smart miners have already sold their miners and bought Ethereum for $ 90 with this money. It was clear to everyone that before Ethereum switched to POS, we would see new minimum price values. so I think those people who have mined ETH for a long time have already filled their wallets with coins and are waiting when the switch to pos will happens

Now it is a good time to buy some Ethers, even you won´t have 32 Ethers I believe that in the future there will be many opportunities how to earn on proof-of-stake protocol which should be implemented in ETH 2.0 update.

Obviously there is no need to rush, we need to take proper time to get things prepared underground before you launch fully. Ethereum is a no joke project , everyone knows that and it has also proved it. We will all be patient to reap the good.

That's a solid roadmap displayed by Vitalik and I think the Ethereum foundation made a good decision by deciding to move from PoW to PoS. This would make the price of ETH grow as the launch approaches and I think this is one of the good times to invest into Ethereum.

So you are claiming that there is no use of buying mining device and soon (or already is) market will be filled with used asics.
I've read that PoS require less resources than PoW. Is that true? If something is easy to do, then it wont cost more than it is now - means with switching to PoS, ETH wont cost more or even cost less than now.

Am I correct?

Vitalik do have a good plan for Ethereum and I am always in support of whatever is going to make Ethereum get better and grow, so as long as that’s what it’s all about then I’m in support of it.

Ethereum has been my favorite altcoin ever since I came to know about it and unlike other altcoins I have been investing and making use of, Ethereum is accepted by more people and some of my friends makes use of it too. I strongly believe that Ethereum will see a better growth in the future and these plans are implemented to make things better.

Vitalik is doing a lot for ETH and for community in general. In my opinion, ETH is one of the most important crypto project

It is very supportive of what Vitalik has designed for the future development of Ethereum, to be better indeed requires a long process but surely the result is very satisfactory, the road map that has been designed Vitalik is not fully we can rely on it but it is a great way for all of us.

idk what does mean but if that will makes the price of eth rose then why not ? i will be supporting it and i will be okay with it as long as the upgrade or the transition is beneficial to eth  .

 your right , that better if people invest now for the preparation of this event . the curent crisis also makes the value of eth to go down  , so that gives us another oppurtunity to hop in as long as we still have plenty of time  . there was also an upcoming halving of btc which is also said to contribute to the value of eth as well  .

It is good to plan ahead, but I am still dazed at what made him to give the initial promise of launching an Ethereum 2.0 since he knew he was not ready. I believe most of us know what that led to, particularly in late 2018 and early 2019. A lot of people were expecting it would actually be launched, but unfortunately, we heard it had been postponed. the coin pumped at that time, whales took advantage of the moment and some accused that Valik sold most of the ETH he was holding. I just hope he will hold unto his word because that is what lovers of ETH will be earnestly expecting to happen.

It is very nice. because with vitalik when ethereum 2.0 was launched, I'm sure eth enthusiasts who have left will return. and this will be a good bull for eth after a virus pandemic that is destroying the crypto ecosystem lately. together with a vitalik step and POS will be a great magnet for ethereum to rise and pursue the price of BTC in the market. this is good news and hopefully will be achieved.

We have a long discussions about Ethereum updates since last year and but right now this it's not the best time to launch their POS implementation, it's better to launch it when the market improves and investors are ready to get back investing, Ethereum will get 100% support if they launch it at the right time.

In my own way, I see it this way, a project whose team already have a vision or roadmap and working towards it have higher chances of survival; this is where most new projects gets it wrong, some don't even have roadmap, some do but don't follow it up. There is no harm in updating or improving the roadmap but it makes sense following it through to ensure the main ideas aren't overlooked. So therefore with the co-founder of Ethereum having big plans laid out for the future shows they care about their growth and which is one of the reasons the blockchain has been growing till now. Let's wait patiently for the Ethereum blockchain upgrade while expecting more in the near future.
