Title: [ENDED] Phinnaeus Gage Fundraiser (Please read inside)
Post by: OgNasty on April 01, 2020, 10:34:18 PM
Phinnaeus Gage (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=24792) has been around since my first weeks on the forum.  He has always been helpful whenever I reached out to him, and is one of the people who I felt genuinely cared about the Bitcoin community.  After reading his below linked post, I felt I had to try and do something, so I though I would engrave a 1oz .999 fine silver round in order to try and help Bruno.  My hope is that it brings a moment of joy to him, and maybe inspires others to do something as well. Obviously the auction's proceeds will be going straight to Bruno's requested donation address.

[Plead] Phinnaeus Gage's User Moniker Manifested Due to a Malignant Brain Tumor (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236380.msg54120826#msg54120826)

I would also like to encourage anyone reading this or placing a bid to take the time to send a small donation of 0.0001860 BTC to 1FkHCFv8PN1kerJct3RsQQpMcRoTnx2vWe (representing the year the inspiration of his username, Phineas Gage passed (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phineas_Gage)) in order to support Bruno and maybe bring a smile to his face.  If you do and post the tx (https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/04dd6a38179eea0bb69bff1fc238c6e5880dbddaf8a00cba21a9e38293174d9d) on this thread, I would appreciate it.

WINNING BIDDER: Cryptotourist @ 0.029 BTC

Auction Rules: None.
Auction Ends: 4/4/20 4:44pm MDT
Shipping: US: Free, International: Actual Shipping Cost

I tried to find a good photo of Bruno to use in addition to an image provided by TECSHARE (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236972.msg54137003#msg54137003) and while I do not typically engrave photos onto coins, I think it came out fairly well.

Check out the wood coin raffle too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236972.0

If this auction has gotten too expensive for you, TECSHARE has a cheaper raffle with chances to win some great extras in addition to supporting the same great cause.

Can we have a countdown clock please? (or just post how many hours left)
It's kind of important. ;D

I don't think he can post for a few minutes. Did I win?

@TECHSHARE distracted me, and lost the deadline by 14 seconds.

edit: don't think about it, I won. ;D

Sorry xD

I didn't even realize how close it was.

Auction Rules: None.

I would say if OGNasty says you did, you did. Once the winner is confirmed and payment made, come claim your slots!

I didn't specify the seconds, and it is for charity so I'd like to see the higher bid win...  But I'll let The Tourist decide the winner since he was the previous high bidder.

It's cool man, it was only my cousin.
If he won, I would have beaten it off him.

As for the other raffle, isn't it best to leave the slots empty for those who haven't donated?

Okay, one sec. ;)

That doesn't seem to be happening very much, so at least getting thru the first round would help attract attention. There are still two more rounds to do so if need be, so in short, no you aren't hurting future donations to Bruno by claiming your slots. So come claim them!

OgNasty, It was both kind and generous of you to create a coin in honour of Bruno and to put it up for charity auction.  You're awesome.

And of course, THANK YOU OgNasty!
Thank you for providing this very thoughtful opportunity, to have something that will rest on my desk, and remind me.
