Title: A suggestion about BPIP
Post by: Charles-Tim on April 06, 2020, 10:04:07 AM
I really like 'Bitcointalk Public Information Project', the design and many things about it. It is good as it revealed active and useful members of this forum like thymos, LoyceV, suchmoon, o_e_l_e_o, DdmrDdmr. It easily revealed most merited members, most activity, most trusted, most recognized and many other things not mentioned that I found it so useful.

But, I noticed members that's have most posts are not there and they supposed to be there because brand new, newbies, junior members can not be among the list, full members are even less likely to be there too. So, only active members with quality and useful posts can be there. Any post that is useless is deleted, and without posts, there will be no activities.

Most merited can be challenging as highly merited members will always look for tactics to improve the forum to have more merits and by being useful. The most recognized and trusted can also be a little bit challenging. But, what of activity, not really challenging like the whole useful posts. I like the activity ranking and should be there too but people with highest number of quality and useful posts are suppose to be listed too which I see more challenging.

BPIP is not a project run by the forum staff, thus opening a thread for a suggestion in Meta is wrong. Contact the users ibminer and/or suchmoon about your suggestion.

What's the point of listing most actively posting users on BPIP? We don't need to see list of most active spammers. You can leave a suggestion in [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213618.0)

The forum has its statistics center (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats) and you can get:
- Top topic starters.
- Top 10 posters.
But they are for all-time, not recently.

For recently data, you can get from loyce.club: Active users, top posters and most active topics in the past 1h, 24h and 7d (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5178726.0)

Okay, I just understood now more about the BPIP, I thought it is managed by this forum. Thank you so much for the correction.

If you have any suggestions for BPIP you can leave them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213618.0

I guess you can lock this thread now :)

Hadn't visited that page in a while.  Now I understand why BADecker posts so much nonsense.   :)

POSTS are just spam.   That's why Theymos invented ACTIVITY (https://bpip.org/report.aspx?r=mostactivity).
