Title: Will stablecoins be the future of cryptocurrency?

Everyday more and more payment providers accept stablecoins like USDT and USDC as payment. Will they be the future of crypto?

Yesterday PolisPay just added 3 stablecoins as payment for the first time.

Why not? it can be an alternative payment system too that will be fully transparent and it's not even controlled by a single entity like another model on the payment system too.
Im feeling so good to see that caused by we will see the real adoption that will be happening in the crypto. Stable coin becomes the next online stable currency that will be much better than fiat especially to be used in this pandemic.

Future stable crypto ,not a future crypto this coins is only use as alternative to usd so people can trade normally without the need of having it in fiat money.  The good thing about usdt is if you have that amount in a moment that the market crash you can easily buy back the coins you want to buy. Without the needs of deposting your fiat money traders like it because in time like unexpected crash there is always a problem depositing using bank transfer and other method.

Yes as if some cryptocurrencies do not support a fiat transaction, stable coins will become the solution. And Also in times of volatile market stable coins are the choice of every trader in uncertain times. I think In future we may see government backed stable coins on blockchain unlike petro dollar which isn't widely accepted.

Stable coins can't be the future of crypto, it will always be side by side with volatile coins because of its usefulness but to say the truth people prefer volatile coins because of gains, you can't make profits from stable coins, you can't mine table coins either

Just because Polishpay and other payment providers accept stablecoins like USDT and USDC as payment doesn't mean that Stateblecoins are going to be the future of Crypto. The reason why payment providers opt for stablecoins is that Stablecoins are almost non-volatile and holding them doesn't incur any loss. The only purpose stablecoins serve is avoiding severe loss during market crashes/dumps in the volatile market, apart from that I don't see any use-case. We already have quite a handful of Stablecoins and Crypto market doesn't want anymore Stablecoin to serve the same purpose.

What makes crypto interesting for investors is the ability to buy low and sell high, this doesn't happen with usdc, usdt, TUSD and others, it doesn't make sense to keep stable coins, they are only useful if you are a trader

It is difficult to say, but stablecoins are gradually becoming very popular and many investors like to keep their investments in stablecoins, therefore, I think that a lot of companies will create stablecoins, and in my opinion this is very correct and reliable.

In my opinion, stablecoin is not the future of cryptocurrency because stablecoin is no different from fiat money or digital money. In contrast to fiat, cryptocurrency should be used as an asset and stable in my opinion is not an investment because it is no different from the money we hold

Just like the other altcoins, they can accept any altcoins of their choice. But it's nothing different just like the fiat money that we're using.

It's not decentralized and it's up to the people what we'd be choosing to use. The governments are in their plans of making CBDC which means their own cryptocurrency backed by real money.

Quite the opposite. I think if you want to use crypto in your daily life you need a coin that is as stable as possible. That's why i think stablecoins will slowly become more and more popular and coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin etc will become digital gold.

Stablecoin is not the future, it is the same as Fiat or it can also be said that is Online Fiat, as far as I know the use is limited in the crypto world, not yet in the real world which means merchants receive stablecoin as a payment.

I think that coin stability is contrary to the crypto principle that we support, which is decentralized crypto. but, many people use stable coins to secure their assets. so far, stable coins have shown so many benefits, so whether it will be the future, or not, I will continue to support it.

Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency. They can be the future of our day to day transaction but we can't call them the future of all of cryptocurrency as they would just represent a genre.
They can surely be the cryptocurrency with largest volume and use as they'd be much closer to how we use fiat.

The volatility of the stable coins is not too high or low, and fiat money is work as the way we know. But the cryptocurrency has the volatility that will be different than the stable coins, and I think the other coins besides of stable coins will be the future because each coin will have potential to develop and grow more than the stable coins.

When the merchant wants to add stable coins for the payment systems, that means, they allow their customer to pay to use those coins because that coin is not too volatile. Their customer doesn't have to worry if the value will increase or decrease or adjust with the fiat money.

I like the concept of stable coins but none of the such coins are seeming legit as per my study. Here I am really afraid of most of the stablecoins currently in the market may end up like how liberty reserve was seized by US governments. So far all the stable coins in crypto space are just corporate coin which may plan up exit scam unlike most other decentralized coins are doing. Yes, I look for decentralized stable coins which only can survive beyond government regulations.

We cannot assume all the stablecoins are future of this cryptocurrency space; only very few may sustain along with us to serve us. But we cannot predict which is going to stay and it is going to die because we are still in the early stages of stablecoins era. But, I am expecting the decentralized stablecoins to be launched soon.

No it won't. Although it is stable in price thus a good one during bear market but it can hardly be the future of cryptocurrency. Remember it's usefulness is reduced when there is a bull market, that is, during bull market everyone tends to be in their desired coins to be part of the growth and vice versa. In my own opinion, they are serving their purpose and same is other coins, in some platforms as well they use BTC, ETH, name them and it all depends on what the platform wants for their users.

There is no difference between stable coin and the fiat currency, they both are centralized and they both can create currency our of thin air. So, I wouldn't call stablecoin as the future of cryptocurrency. They are only another form of fiat and no more use of them. No crypto enthusiast would be interested in stablecoin ever because of their cebtralized nature.

Yes they are the future of payments. USDT were being used to pay in one of the campaigns here in the forum that should say a lot for what stablecoin's use. Stablecoin has many use, hedging is just one which you as a trader will really find it very much of a relief when you move your money to it before the bear starts rallying.

This is what I saw also as most of the countries that will likely to create their own stable currencies in order to preserve the value of their digital money. There are few countries already that are planning or have launch their own local currency that will be use in their country so we can expect that in the future we will be using a stable currency if in case majority of the governments will not favor in using the existing crypto currencies out there.

But all of it will depend to the decision of every government and with regards to usdt and other stable currencies, there is a very less chance that they will be adapted by any country as their main payment system as most of the countries will likely to create their own in order to have a control of the said currency.

For me, Stablecoin will still exist in the future it will play a part in crypto space but I am not saying that stablecoin is the only future of cryptocurrency it is only a part of it. What do you think will happen if only stablecoin are left on the market? You can't trade anymore, you can't gain profits. Like trade USDT to BUSD with the same value not gonna happen. I believe bitcoin is the beginning and the future of cryptocurrency and also major altcoins.

Stablecoins are accepted by many companies because they are stable like the USD, and companies will not suffer losses if the market collapsed when accepting payments

no, in my opinion stablecoin will only be used a lot when the economic downturn is as much as it is today. because the red line down has destroyed the market price, so to overcome this many choose to sell their volatile coins into stable coins. so many are forced to provide payment and receipt of stable accounts.

Stablecoin as the future of cryptocurrency? I don't see it that way, but what I believe is that stable-coin and crypto-currency are both useful in the industry because it gives the market more liquidity and more choices like trading in different pairs such as USDT, DAI, etc stable-coin was created for a reason, purpose, and function to make the cryptocurrency industry more attractive.

Depends if a decent company actually does this, maybe a company that is already big enough. For example Libra was seen as the big deal, there was so much attention towards it, was said to change the crypto future all by itself, but it didn't happen and now that there is corona I am sure not that many people work on it and its on standby for sure and not many governmental stuff going on neither so I suppose it will be postponed at least a year or so.

If Libra or anything like that happens from a company that is huge and known by everyone and has a huge legal standing, than stablecoins could actually become insanely high and could be just full on amazing to use as well, all around the world for everything basically.

It is hard to claim that stable coin will be the future of crypto as there is no guarantee that it will not fail, we have already seen failed stable coins in the market for example, NuBits and Basis and the reason for failure are different in both these cases and we all know about the issues for USDT and their transparency issues and their legal troubles, so to consider stable coins as the future you need to think about how you are going to trust the audits and how different countries will be regulating them.

Stablecoins doesn't have any independent existence as such. They are only used in those countries, where it is illegal to use fiat currency to trade crypto. And most of these stablecoins doesn't have much volumes outside the exchanges. They are being used as an intermediary, before the trader can convert his coins to fiat cash (or vice versa). Once the restrictions on the usage of fiat currency is lifted, the stablecoins may become obsolete.

Stablecoin traders prefer when they think the market will go down. Stablecoin one kind of crypto currency but it's like fiat. Its price is stable and easy to use as payment. But that doesn't mean it will be the currency of the future. I have doubts about the number of stablecoin currently available. There are many reasons why I doubt them.

Well, they do have some sort of advantage honestly because they are literally the bridge between crypto world and fiat world. Think about any seller, they are working for fiat usually, they have a shop or a cafe or a grocery store whatever you can think of, if they accept bitcoin they may get richer due to volatility or they may get poorer, they can't risk their whole income on it so many of them do not start accepting bitcoin right away, however if you offer them an option to use USDT instead, and accept bitcoin which can be turned into USDT automatically and can than be withdrawn to fiat whenever they want, they may start to see it as an option to get more and more customers from the crypto world as well. It is definitely going to be a huge part of crypto world for sure.

Of course not, stable coins are a useful tool for traders and investors alike but they will not exist at all if it was not for bitcoin and the attention it got thanks to its innovative technology, stable coins are our connection the the old system and they allows us to get out of the market without actually really doing it and have to go through all kind of KYC policies, but make no mistake the future of this market is bitcoin and if a currency crisis begins to impact the world you will see bitcoin outperforming almost any other asset class with ease.

Stable coins are indeed very good, saves traders from imminent loss, and also lets keep fiat in digital form. But i do not think it is the future of crypto currency.
The future of crypto currency to me is to be an alternative mode of payment digitally, and then globally, bitcoin is very prominent amongsts all countries, and is the face and future of crypto currency.

Agree, because of the decentralized and high violates that make cryptocurrency look attractive in investor's eyes. Remove that and we have stable coins which in the end, just like fiats. Then the question is clear, why use fiat or stable coins when we have cryptocurrency?

Not actually the future, but maybe it will be the trend instead. 8) More like a way for countries to safely give crypto a try and see where things go from there. Either way, a stable coin is nothing more than a glorified alternate form of fiat (disguised as cryptocurrency) isn't? ::)

stable coins are not much different from fiat currencies because the price changes are not wild like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

That's why payment services are favouring stable coins right now because of less volatility in the market. But one problem that I am seeing with stable coins are the owners of this project. Are they really truthful about their back up reserves for their coin? If the company managing that stable coin collapses, what will happen now to this stable coin? They will collapse also, right? So I don't think stable coins are the future of crypto. I still prefer crypto that is not manipulated by a group of people or few individuals. And that I think is still bitcoin. Maybe one day, price volatility will not be an issue anymore. Transaction fee/speed is already addressed by lightning network. In this regard, maybe we need to promote more of LN.

Stable coins will not be a future cryptocurrency . However , stable coins play a very important role in the cryptocurrency market . The most useful coins that help stabilized coins are  USDT or USD . If you have a shop and you want to add crypto as payment what coins would you use? I think 99% of shops would go with stablecoins operated by blockchain technology. Dash and Polis both are trying to be the future of payments and they will succeed only if they are backed by a stablecoin. Most likely that's the reason PolisPay added stablecoins to help with the payments.

Firms/ agencies that i am aware of, prefer to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment because of its tendencies to soar and get increased in price and value.

With bitcoin atms around the corner, and fiat - crypto option via binance now in over 15 countries, i believe the best is yet to come.

Bitcoin will be the future of crypto, without bitcoin crypto would not exist, so we owe that to the king.
Stable coins will just be part of the market as not all people are risk takers, some want to make their money safe and traders uses those stable coins when they are trading, so it's normal that there's a huge volume of transactions for stablecoins, and other purposes as well.

It could be possible, but that will depend on people who choose stable coins as the main crypto payment in the merchant, and the government agree with that. Without agreement from the government, the stable coins and the other cryptocurrency cannot be the payment method, and we cannot force people to use crypto as an alternative payment solution. But with the crisis that is happening in all country, the possibility to use crypto will be open, but still, we don't know if stable coins or other or both that will be used.

I converted all my bitcoin to tether and It saved me thousands of dollars
Stablecoin was just kind of a normal altcoin in my opinion it has a great potential in the market price but I don't think it was profitable for long term, in the other hand having a strategy in selling altcoins or bitcoin might get you a few profit.

I think bitcoin will be the future of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the most famous coin in the cryptocurrency. Many people are already using bitcoin and many people are supporting it. Because in bitcoin someone can gain and earn so much money. Someone can make their time and effort productive because of bitcoin. Someone can be very productive in their own way and in their desired time. These are all because of the most famous coin in the cryptocurrency, the bitcoin. You may have much money which you may use in paying your bills.

It's certain that stable coins will always be in existence side by side with coins like Bitcoin and other very good altcoins in crypto space, most especially traders, they can't do without these stable coins, watching coins charts on coinmarketcap you can easily notice that stable coins aren't lacking behind it's because of their usefulness

I think what OP is referring to is Central bank stable coins, like each countries coins that will back their Fiat, hmm yes they will be useful for those who like digital payments, some might even find these stable coins as the best safer option since it's from CB but people want life changing opportunity, this is where coins like Bitcoin will always comes first

Stablecoins play an important role in Cryptocurrency trading, without which it would have been more of a war zone in a very volatile market. There is no problem for payment system accepting a stable coin so as to mitigate or escape the volatility with cryptocurrency but they don't get to gain from the profit in a bull run.

We can't speculate in terms of utilization yet OP.
Although traders practically use USDT mostly in storing their profit from their trades to stabilize it rather than hodling it in another currency to avoid losses from volatility.
I see it being a stable payment system over Bitcoin, but I don't think Bitcoin will stay volatile for a long time so we never know just yet.

Stable coins might gain adoption, but Bitcoin will always remain at the top and gain more adoption than every other cryptocurrencies.

Libra coin by Facebook would have been a worthy competition, and that’s only because Facebook is already a big platform and they will promote their coin to their users who will quickly adopt it, and plus they had big partners such as PayPal, eBay, and so many of them, but since it’s not a successful project, I don’t see any other coin that will be able to compete with Bitcoin as of right now. It will be leading while others keep following, none of them is crossing that line.

Stablecoins are good for crypto but I don't think that it is the future of crypto currencies.
They are good for crypto adaptation but for me it is their only use for now for crypto to be accepted as a payment method for some companies and they are good to invest in when the crypto is crashing down.
Thats true.
Alternative payment by cryptocurrency is effective if we use stable coins, low volatility and the price tends to be constant. However, as most members above explained, this is no different from using fiat payments, just different forms and methods. Whereas the principle of cryptocurrency is generally, with high volatility, high-risk investments, stable coins are not included.

Everyday more and more payment providers accept stablecoins like USDT and USDC as payment. Will they be the future of crypto?

Yesterday PolisPay just added 3 stablecoins as payment for the first time.

https://twitter.com/PolisPayApp/status/1247319714130546689 (https://twitter.com/PolisPayApp/status/1247319714130546689)

In as much as this is true, but a question still remains, is it better to hold or invest in something which is stable or that which appreciate in value? I believe most people if not all will go the one that appreciates in value.  This is just the difference between stablecoins and other coins. Just imagine Bitcoin is showing signs of uptrend, many who are in stablecoins won't hesitate to convert to BTC after which they can still move back to USDT etc, if they want. Therefore in my opinion, stablecoins are just doing that which they are created for and with its restricted growth reduces its chance of being the future of cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, coin like Bitcoin is highly seen as the future of cryptocurrencies because of its value and potentials.

Stablecoins aren't giving us anything new or better than cryptocurrencies. They are only used by people who want to go around fiat exchange laws in their countries and/or not go through full KYC, as exchanging into a stable coin is like doing a crypto-crypto transaction that gives you a feeling of escaping into fiat. In reality, you are not really getting fiat and you are not escaping volatility as you're exchanging a real useful coin like BTC into a coin that mimmics fiat stability, but at the cost of centralization and lack of privacy.

I'm not sure if I understood your post correctly, but not all stablecoins are centralized. Have you heard of DAI? It's decentralized stablecoin. True, it has it's own problems but centralization is not one of them. But I don't think that centralization is the biggest problem with stablecoins. I think the biggest problem is when companies behind a stablecoin starts to act like banks and issuing stablecoins out of thin air. Of course, this is hard to prove but a rumor is sometimes enough for people to stop trusting them. That's why I like USDC. It's centralized (Coinbase is the company behind USDC) but they have monthly audits (https://www.centre.io/usdc-transparency) that checks if every USDC is really backed by a real $.

I don't think stablecoin will be the future of cryptocurrency because what does it offer except from the fact that you can use it to exchange fiat to crypto? I don't think it has any useful feature besides from that, also they are backed by real world fiat which is pretty different from Bitcoin that is backed by the law of supply and demand.

Though I believe that stablecoin would be the sidekick of cryptocurrency forever. It helps us exchange crypto to fiat and vise versa so easily that it will be pretty hard to just remove it. It is used by almost all exchanges now and it is by far one of the best crypto created out there. Not only that, there's also different kinds of stablecoin aside from USDT, there's also GOLD.

Only special something cool features will help a coin to control our future. Online payment methods already exists in several ways, like Google and Facebook (upcoming) also same. What is different in cryptocurrency stablecoin to send money? I didn't see any future to gain anything from this stablecoin without frozen your whole money.

Honestly stable coins are here as an replacement of traditional money because for moving your local money you need bank accounts or at least paypal kind of highly restricted payment processor but these are completely eliminated by using stable coins. This means we are having stable coins on blockchain. If I remember correctly when tether was first introduced with the tagline of "enjoy the power of both fiats and blockchain", and that must be really true.

At the same time like many people have already mentioned here, governments may take action against stable coins at any time which means they may get shut down when governments start think about stablecoins as a threat to their banking system. So, it must be too early to conclude like stablecoins are the future.

Stable coins are an independent branch of cryptocurrency. They are completely different from a decentralized cryptocurrency, however, it is very necessary for it, since they actually perform an auxiliary role. A special position among stable coins will be represented by national stable coins of states. It will be the digitized ordinary currency of these states and it will most likely be in demand, especially within this state. Many governments have already noted the positive aspects and advantages of stable state coins over conventional paper currencies. Therefore, stable coins will exist along with a decentralized cryptocurrency and will complement each other.

I only see this as an effective way to overcome cryptocurrency volatility as a means of payment, by using stable coins, this is more effective. So this is not entirely the future of cryptocurrency, imo, because there are things better than just as a means of payment, other functions such as promising and high-value investments dominate. There is no difference between fiat and stable coins, only the shapes are different.

Yes stable coin is immune from market fluctuations as its value depends on fiat i.e USD, but I don't think fiat will ever be used for investment purpose as it's just used to store value during uncertain market situations to avoid losing money or while trading stable coin can be used but it can never gain status of other crypto coins.

Well, with the current developments seen today as the central bank suggests a ban or heavy regulations to be imposed on the use of stablecoins, i doubt if there's much of a future for the emerging industry of stablecoins, i personally hope the ban proposal won't pull through though  becuse stablecoins have help traders and investors in getting an edge against the volatility of the cryptocurrency market,  just imagine how risky the whole market would be without the presence of stablecoins, one will see his asset getting burn down without much of a thing to do to stop it as virtually every cryptocurrency will be going downward during a strong bearish market period

still an investment as long as you start purchasing and hodling them but not a kind of a profitable investment due to thier stability  .

stable coins  can withdstand any crisis even the toughest ones like corona  , thats why they can be a future aside from that  . they are also stable and as good as fiat money that is best for purchasing items and for paying/recieveing money .  still other unstable cryptos are a good option if we want to earn

Well, yes there is a tendency for both stable cryptos and fiat to co-exist in the future. But the bottomline is that those stable coins are more likely to be used as a currency and those which are having volatile market value, could remain more of an investment.

I really like stable coins you can make good profits by putting them in stakes and with this crisis for the virus they are an excellent safe haven alternative to cash / fiat

Fiat will more likely remain as a currency being used by countries wherein cryptos and other digital currencies are not yet being accepted. There are still governments as of this moment, who are not yet trusting digital method of payments as well as services being offered. But as development continues, chances are high that massive adaptation will happen.

doesn't mean a thing if all those USDT are used for buying bitcoin or the other way around anyawy. Though stablecoin might indeed dominate the market but without the regular cryptocurrency it's just kinda pointless. the same as using paypal although the benefit of using stablecoin to save wealth amid to volatile market really helps a lot.

For payment system, stable coin is really better since it's not volatile, no everyone who transact online can take the risk of volatility so we are seeing this happens. Actually I am happy with this kind of development because these stable coins are still just part of the crypto market, when they get popular and grow, the effect would result on the entire market.

in addition, we have Libra coming, not sure when but they are a big thing in the market.

In my humble estimation stable coins are so useful for everyone, that is why if there is some crisis like Corona, stable coins can save your money from the crisis. l mean if you realize that there is some problem, you can convert your money to stable coins and just can relax. :) It will save you thousands of dollars. But it doesn't mean stable coins will be the future of cryptocurrency. Maybe BTC and other altcoins can be the future of cryptocurrency like ETH, XRP, BNB, etc. But absolutely not stable coins.

Moreover, cryptocurrency is more effective if it is used as a commodity of trade and investment, rather than just being used to make payment transactions. Stable coins function the same as e-money, only that e-money is adopted more and more legally because it is based on official fiat currencies.

It is indeed effective as a strategy to secure assets in an extreme market. But you should not save it for the long term, the risks are high, especially regarding the freezing of funds: https://github.com/OmniLayer/omnicore/releases/tag/v0.3.0#freezing-tokens-for-managed-properties

This is somehow true but you need to know that these stable coins might collapse anytime.
What if the owners of this stable coin decided to sell off their coins?
And how sure are you that they are still back 100% by the fiat currency that they are supporting at any given time?
You still have to be careful dealing with stablecoins, because we don't know the truth behind their existence.

stable coins are indeed a very good tool to be a transaction tool, but not as an investment tool. however, crypto such as bitcoin or ethereum is not only used as a transaction tool, but also a business and investment tool. in addition, stable coins can still be replaced with fiat on the internet such as PayPal or something similar. but, for the development of larger cryptocurrency, I think a decentralized crypto is needed and is more than just a stable coin.

In fact, stable coins with great difficulty can be classified as cryptocurrencies. These are digitized currencies of states and less commonly other financial assets. In any case, they do not belong to a decentralized cryptocurrency and therefore cannot be its future. These are completely different branches of digital currency that will compete with each other as a means of payment.

You're right. Fiat money is the best method of payment right now due to the wide recognition. That's also the problem that crypto money is facing right now. In order to be an effective currency, a currency has to keep it value stable overtime and also have the wide recognition. In my opinion, the reason why many nations don't accept crypto money as a method of payment is that their citizens aren't familiar with this kind of payment. Also, governments have to keep their fiat money in order to control their economy.

with more and more business getting onboard I would say it is in the future. it cant be used for investing and people who wants to invest still find safe haven in other crypto. it will probably be used for digital transactions in the near future but there is something lacking thats keeping that from happening.
tbh if USDT is not "that" opposed by the authority up there and don't need to face the legal hurdles if it about to become popular these stablecoins are actually the most suitable for digital payment among merchants. Although, if decentralized crypto could instead take over that place it will be even better.

china has already launched its digital stable coin and that makes sense if the stable coin will be the future of cryptocurrency, we must think to avoid the volatility and stable coin is the best solution.

We will see there will be a lot of stable coins in the market backed by real money.

I am not seeing people to start using stablecoins instead of fiats unlike what OP is trying to emphasize here. Stablecoins may stay with us and may serve us for trading and easy moving funds across exchanges/borders and other than these I am not seeing any other applications from stablecoins to have brighter future like bitcoin is having. Hence, I believe it must be inappropriate to call stabelcoins to be the future of cryptocurrencies.

I think yes.

Stablecoins allow for practical usage of cryptocurrency, paying for things in your daily life, but bitcoin has a similar feature.
In my opinion, cryptocurrencies will still exist in the future, not only stablecoins, but bitcoin, ethereum, and so on.
If the value of stablecoins is not affected by the rapid change in the crypto market, it’s very likely that stablecoins can be trusted to replace the fiat money we predominantly use today.

In my opinion, the future is very unpredictable so we could say stablecoins or new coins is the future of cryptocurrency. Stablecoins is good to invest especially to those who want to avoid a major loss so they chosde safe path but there are possibility that s new coins could have a big potential.

No because thez do not solve anything new. Bitcoin is an alternative to the dollar, banks and other financial instituions, it is completelz a new ecosystem. But stable coins are not pretty diffrent from classic FIAT currencies.

Private coins face resistance from regulators in various countries.
The SEC recently filed a ton of lawsuits against exchanges and ICO projects.
I do not think that cryptocurrencies will be able to make a real mass adaptation without the approval of regulators, for whom private coins are a bone in the throat.
In hindsight it is a good move by the SEC to protect people from scam projects, we had billions of dollars worth of scam in the past 5 years and if the scammers are still coming up with projects that are aimed at collecting money and dumping the coins and then walk away without any repercussion nor do they return the funds if the project fails to achieve the success they set out and how long do you think that the government will have a blind eye on a market like these.
Mass adoption is possible and you cannot coin bitcoin and the rest of the ICO projects as they are completely different.

Everyday more and more payment providers accept stablecoins like USDT and USDC as payment. Will they be the future of crypto?

Yesterday PolisPay just added 3 stablecoins as payment for the first time.

nobody know, what will happend with cryptocurrency in the future,
but, in my opinion i choose bitcoin as the first and the king of cryptocurrency rather than any crypto inlcuding all pf stablecoins

Every platform out there adopts the cryptocurrency they think will meet their needs and thats the way I see it. All these platforms adopting stablecoins knows what they are after; some gambling platforms also uses Bitcoin, some other platforms also uses ETH, thus it can be seen the team knows what they are after. Therefore, I say vividly, stablecoins can't be seen as the future of this space, the only cryptocurrency which is seen as the future of the crypto space is Bitcoin and it won't change.

But the future is very unpredictable. So it's hard to predict but still In my opinion stable coin has a great future. Let's see what happens in future.

Stable coin will be adopted by the merchants too and this si the best concept to be an alternative way for the fiat currency. It's easy to predict that the demand for stable coins are still increasing a lot and it's just a matter of time until it will be adopted globally.

I don't think there will be a cryptocurrency that will be stable, because I believe that cyrptocurrency price movements will always be there and no one can predict exactly how the price will move, whereas for now the best candidate in my opinion that is suitable to be used as a stable coin is USDT.

Sure, crypto can't be stable, but what is being discussed here is stablecoin being so popular in usage and might be what most people will sort after in future.
Most of those in the crypto space are here to make money. However, from the direct point of it, stablecoin cannot make you more money or profit. Although, it could be a measure through which profit can be made or as a hedge in adverse market condition. Holding it for long right not be advisable.

Stablecoins will remain stable coins and serve their purpose as safe haven during market situations where investors remain indecisive about a particular movement. Other altcoins along with Bitcoin will spearhead the revolutionary movement of cryptocurrency making spending, sending, receiving, and storing of funds faster, cheaper, and easier.

It caused by tether was always printing more and more new USDT while ripple has decreased a lot on its value caused by the dump by the foundation. That makes the inflation of ripple is so high and USDT able to surpass it.

Stable is actually will be the future of cryptocurrency

Stable Coin  Could Be The Future Used Coin From My Point Of View Because Most College And Universities Will Likely Be Using Stable Asset In Dealing With School Charges And Payment Method.

I personally believe stablecoins have a prominent place now and mainly as a hedge against volatility and inflation. Also with DEFI becoming now huge, many people will want to buy stablecoins and park to earn 8-12% interest annually from the various DEFI platforms offering these kind of rewards. I mean why would I want to keep money in the bank earning me nothing, just to make the Banks rich, when I can just buy a stablecoin and park on Nexo, or BlockFi, Binance or wherever else, and earn a nice round daily or monthly interest for lending out my stablecoins? This will attract many old school investors into this place, boomers with money laying around gathering dust, and that's just one angle.

In my own opinion, we only have one coin which is the future of the cryptocurrency space and that is Bitcoin. Talking about USDT, although it is the best stablecoin so far (or so I thought) but I think some people still don't trust it because of the various news and so forth about it. Although the stablecoins are very important to help curb the issue of volatility but that's where their useful nature ends however in the case of Bitcoin, it is something different which is all about trust and decentralization which has been seen over the years; this trust and decentralization in question is what a good number of projects lacks.

Stablecoins do have a future in the cryptocurrency world and as you can see every single day that USDT number is going higher and higher, I remember it being just one billion or maybe even less and now it is above over 9 billion dollars, it was under 6 billion just at the start of 2020 if I am not wrong.

So, I think they are getting a bigger and bigger portion of the pie. However people are here mainly to make money, and you can't make money from buying USDT and holding it, that will always worth 1 dollars and never change. Which means people will buy usdt and it may even be ranked number one eventually, yet nobody will actually consider it number one since the only thing we need USDT for is bitcoin itself, without bitcoin USDT worths zero to us.

StableCoin is often used for payments because they are not much different from the dollar and also different from other crypto currencies. as we see when the market situation deteriorates but some stable coins can still maintain their value. but I don't think stable coins will be the future of cryptoqurrency.

It is undeniable that stable coins, for the time being, are the main attraction for Crypto investors. Although it can not be separated from the advantages and disadvantages, which is one of the advantages is the price movement is not fluctuating, but the drawback is that it might be very little when getting profit because of stable price movements.

And now tell me where are stable coins accepted as a means of payment? If cryptocurrencies accepted, then you will find shops and e-shops that accept BTC only, in some cases, they accept also LTC or BCH, but surely not USDT.  :D

People use stable coins for sure only to maintain their value. And for payment it is certainly very suitable, because the value is not volatile like bitcoin. So that for payment it is suitable for payment. Actually coins are stable in crypto as well as fiat $$$.

It's hard to say at this moment. But surely stable coins are a very important part of this whole market. Normally at this moment people use stable coins to hold value when market is volatile and for trade also. Other that that normally those who accept crypto go for bitcoin. But in near future maybe some organization or individual start to take stable coins also.

Yes, Stablecoin is a legal and safe digital currency, because it can be used like other currencies for trading. simplify international payments, because there is no need to convert different fiat currencies. for example Japanese people can receive USD-backed stable without needing to convert to Yen. and cheap cost

When the market crashes, investors or traders will keep their assets on a stable coin because this is a safe way to save assets from slumping, therefore stablecoin becomes much sought after when the market is down and indeed in terms of payment many use stablecoin.

That means the merchant that used stable coin can avoid the volatility in the market and this is the main role of stable coin. The creation of stable has already dedicated to be an alternative coin that has stable value.
FYI stable coin and fiat are not 100% the same as we have seen tether can go down even it was a stable coin.

Exactly, that's the strategy of a safe and secure option to avoid loss. And yes stable coins are mainly to minimize the volatility of the price, when crypto market goes bad stable coin is a safe haven.

And yes you can transfer funds between wallets and exchanges if you invest in stable coins. And the most important thing is the profit of any investment is depend only on the popularity and adaptability of coin.
