Title: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content+fake photos Post by: Rikafip on April 09, 2020, 08:08:47 PM What happened: BetaFunds copied content from another investment company, The Morgan Creek/Bitwise. Now, would you give your money to such a investment fund, and be sure that they will manage it properly, when they can't even do this right?

Post by: dkbit98 on April 09, 2020, 10:03:29 PM Why do it correct way when you can just copy and paste it :P
Nice find again OP. It is clear case of plagiarism. Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content! Post by: TalkStar on April 10, 2020, 09:13:17 AM Another impressive investigation by OP. Shamelessly stealing contents from somewhere else and trying to make investors fool. Hope investors will feel it necessary to make a little bit of research before making investment on this kinda obvious scam project. All their plan is to steal people's money just by creating a website with all fake information and stolen contents.
User tagged from my end. Keep continuing your investigation work with much pace during spending time at home due to Covid-19 pandemic :). Stay home. Ok, good to hear that you deleted the content of ANN, but why you wrote "I have deleted the thread because project owners has decided to stop the project" ? Why didn't you write the truth, that BetaFunds is scam, it has been busted, and that is the reason for deletion? After all, just by deleting their ANN it doesn't mean that they will stop with this scam, they will probably continue to advertise elsewhere, plenty of other platforms left for them to lure inexperienced and naive people, like telegram, Reddit etc. Scammers don't stop so easily. Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content! Post by: patrick_betafunds on April 15, 2020, 05:55:22 PM Hello everyone,
We would like to address the wrongful accusation for BetaFunds being a fraudulent company or it being a scam. Here are some facts persistent to validate the legitimacy of BetaFunds:- BetaFunds is legally registered firm by the name of Abstract Global Services running from the Cayman Islands. BetaFunds works with third party clients to get certain sections of the business done, our main core focus is building team of engineers and traders for the platform. BetaFunds outsourced the task of building the website, creating the content and make it live within the deadline period. After bringing to our attention that our website has plagiarised content from The Morgan Creek/Bitwise, we have taken immediate action against it. We have filed a complaint against the company responsible for this fraudulent act. BetaFunds is no shape or form associated with this act and plan to overcome this roadblock and get back to what we do best, build an easy to use platform for investors to get started investing in cryptocurrencies. We would like to thank the Bitcointalk community for bringing this to our attention timely. PS: Please find attached the legal document proving our authenticity. https://i.imgur.com/uE1K6dK.png Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content! http://archive.md/TUUcs They have a brand new ANN thread and it's not only the plagiarized content they have to answer for. Gabriel Rocha Melo (Lead Fund Analyst at BetaFunds) and Rajih Shalhoub (Lead Crypto Analyst at BetaFunds) both are computer-generated images - GANs. https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabriel-rocha-melo-86321a184/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/rajih-shalhoub-857012190/ One is detected by havetheyfaked.me, the other - i've pointed out some of the visible artifacts. https://i.ibb.co/VDxRPJS/fkadhf.jpg (https://i.ibb.co/VDxRPJS/fkadhf.jpg) https://i.ibb.co/DGMKr5C/dhdghzgd1.jpg (https://i.ibb.co/DGMKr5C/dhdghzgd1.jpg) Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content! Post by: Rikafip on April 16, 2020, 04:28:51 PM They have a brand new ANN thread and it's not only the plagiarized content they have to answer for. Nice find @morvillz7z! It's not a surprise that there is more dirt there in BetaFunds, updated the first post with the new ANN. It will be interesting to hear what hey have to say about that, and what kind of excuse they will find this time.Gabriel Rocha Melo (Lead Fund Analyst at BetaFunds) and Rajih Shalhoub (Lead Crypto Analyst at BetaFunds) both are computer-generated images - GANs. BetaFunds outsourced the task of building the website, creating the content and make it live within the deadline period. We heard this excuse so many times before, it's always someone else's fault, whether it's website dev, 3rd party or someone else. If you are so negligent with the basic stuff like website, I somehow doubt that you would be any better with other people's money. Just for the sake of the argument, who is that company that you hired to create the content? Another thing, what do you have to say about @morvillz7z discovery? Can you prove that those people from your team really exist, and that those are their real photos? Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content! Post by: TalkStar on April 16, 2020, 04:43:37 PM One is detected by havetheyfaked.me, the other - i've pointed out some of the visible artifacts. Day by day its getting common on recent scam platforms where they slightly change their plan to use AI generated human faces instead of stolen pictures. Most probably they think it will be tough to detect their AI generated fake human faces. In some cases its quite hard to detect this kinda faces and thats why recent scam scammers are using those pictures heavily. There is some common sign on AI generated faces. Such as; # Bold circular mark between nose and lips. # Blurry spots on ear and teeth. # Extra gap between hair, forehead and eyebrows. # Different colors on eye lenses. # weird shape of nose. Good catch morvillz7z. Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content+fake photos Post by: Rikafip on April 19, 2020, 11:33:00 AM On top of plagiarized content and fake photos(they decided to ignore questions about recent findings by morvillz7z), BetaFunds team went full retard and decided to shill their own thread too. Flag against @patrick_betafunds raised, please support.

That's true, software has been improving constantly and yeah, that will be big problem in the future (not that already isn't). I hope detection programs will follow them with the same pace, so scammers have tough job.Title: Re: [WARNING] BetaFunds Investment company plagiarized content+fake photos Post by: morvillz7z on April 19, 2020, 02:28:46 PM BetaFunds team went full retard and decided to shill their own thread too. Flag against @patrick_betafunds raised, please support. Flag Type 1 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=1676 I'm seriously doubting that there is even a team behind BetaFunds. Anyway, reported some of the shill posts and supported the flag against him. Speaking of patrick_betafunds, i took a screenshot of his telegram profile the day i reported the fake team members (it has changed since then). This was him (https://i.ibb.co/N3CP5Gf/dfjfkj.jpg), and a full-sized photo (https://i.ibb.co/tBgVQ3j/photo-2020-04-16-14-26-16.jpg). :D |
