Title: GBA Best Practice Track at the Bitcoin Expo Toronto
Post by: Benson Samuel on March 20, 2014, 07:03:20 PM
The Global Bitcoin Alliance will organise a “Best Practice” track at the Bitcoin Expo in Toronto on Saturday, April 12, 2014. It will consist of three talks aimed at the general public and a round table meeting, which is targeted at people who want to set up non-profit organisations, organise meetups or create public Bitcoin spaces themselves. The goal of this track is the same as the general goal of the GBA: to enable Bitcoin activists to learn from each other.

This is the schedule:

Saturday, April 12

1:30 pm: Ron Gross (Israeli Bitcoin Association):
Bitcoin in Israel - with a special focus on how to grow a meetup from 3 to 300 people

1:50 pm: Anthony Di Iorio (Bitcoin Alliance of Canada):
How to build up a non-profit organisation in an inclusive and transparent manner

2:10 pm Jillian Friedman (Bitcoin Embassy Montreal):
How to create and maintain a Bitcoin space in the brick-and-mortar world

2:30 - 3:30 am: GBA Round Table with the three speakers and other experts.
Please register here, as the number of participants is limited: https://joingba.wufoo.eu/forms/gba-best-practice-round-table/ (https://joingba.wufoo.eu/forms/gba-best-practice-round-table/)

Sign up now at the GBA Website!

The GBA website is made to become the main hub for all non-profit organisations, meetups and conferences about Bitcoin on the web, but it will only become useful if you fill in and maintain the details of your organisation, meetup or conference. So please sign up now and share your information with the Bitcoin community: http://joingba.org (http://joingba.org)

The Global Bitcoin Alliance is a decentralised network of non-profit organisations that promote Bitcoin.

Cool!

As the General Secretary of the GBA is publically demanding the shit to be bombed out of Iran and mosques to be abolished in the western world: are these topics going to be discussed on the panel?

Looking forward to that! ;)

That is presicely my opinion. Atheist and non-believer here ;).

That's why I wonder how an organisation can be 'global' when their leader demands war to be waged against other nations for religious reasons and thought this to be an interesting topic to be discussed. I mean the track is being called 'best practise', no?

But then maybe that's only me.
