Post by: renardoreno on April 13, 2020, 10:19:38 AM
Hey, everybody, I'm new.
I'm setting up an online store of used laptops (https://www.portatilmadrid.com) and I was thinking of accepting payments with Bitcoin, and some alt...
Do you know if there's a payment gateway?
Any recommendations?

1. CoinPayments (0.5% fee)
2. CoinGate (1%)

Both allow you to withdraw funds to your bank account.

There are a few other options like GoCoin and GoURL but not sure how good they are.

The list mentioned by Omega is sufficient. But it may also include BitPay, which is also well known and active since years.
I am wondering why BitPay is always excluded from suggestions. Many times someone asks for a paiement gate, experienced users avoid to include it for reasons i somehow missed. Does there any accusation against BitPay? I searched about this, but almost all reviews are good and many people even use BitPay as their main wallet, so what's the problem with it?

Have you heard the BTCpay?
If not check this one first they offer 0% transaction fees. You can try their demo or 3rd party hosting to test their payment gateway and BTCpay only accepts Bitcoin but you can add more altcoin if you host it with your own(Read their documentation about this (https://docs.btcpayserver.org/)).

Their official website can be found here https://btcpayserver.org/

Blockonomics is another option it is also built with BTCpay but they support more CMS/Module/plugin.
Both of them support PrestaShop.

More list of a payment gateway can be found here

Here's a link with the list of reasons why you should avoid BitPay: BitPay has been consistently anti-Bitcoin over the past years (https://debitpay.directory/anti-bitcoin/)

I hope you're not considering using BitPay [after reading what I just linked aboved]...
- Go with OmegaStarScream's suggestions instead.

Hello!
You can try Payspace. We have own payment gateway and you don't need to settle everything by yourself.
We were already mentioned on this forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188809.0
And you can also ask me for advice right on this forum ;)

What does it mean? The merchants should know all the rules of fees. Sounds like: we can change the conditions, after that we will find some excuses and you agree with this.

I never heard about this your service. considering that you want to deal with the financial service, you need to better announce yourself. Pointing to a random discussion where someone accidentally mentions your service is not enough to gain confidence.

I find here https://payspacelv.com/faq/ Wordpress script, this also does not give me the confidence that it is a serious service. WP is so vulnerable to security lapses.

Undeniably it's not enough. Totally agree with you. At the same time if it was a "random discussion" as you say, my comment would be deleted by moderator.

I never heard about this your service.
But somebody on this forum did. And it's not a newber.

Wordpress is the most popular service with the CMS function. For me it's a new information, that it's more vulnerable than self-made sites. I will check it. If you have some trustful sources with this info, would be grateful for sharing.

OP have you chosen payment getaway for your website to receive cryptocurrency payments? If not then I will prefer what is suggested by @BitMaxz. You will have control your own funds means only you will have access of your private keys if you use your own server. Using third party payment getaway means funds isn't under your control. Even you will able to accept bitcoin via lightning network I host server yourself. I believe this is better option for you if you have little technical knowledge.
