Title: bitsprox.pro Exchange Is a SCAM, Proven
Post by: Leasehold on April 13, 2020, 01:39:27 PM
our Project Leasehold.io was approached by an exchange claiming they can do a IEO from us, but when I search them , I only see posts from 29 March no further?

They are quite cheap , 0.2BTC maybe suspiciously cheap ? and I am not sure based on all the things I found on the internet about them "which is none"

Surely some info would be around about them, dont all exchanges want news and to get known ?

any advice or anyone dealt with them please do let us know .

Thanks

I have never heard about bitsprox.pro exchange. They are not that popular. The fee is quite low, even listing in exchanges cost more than this. However, to run an IEO I wouldn't suggest you this exchange. People will not be interested to put their money on IEO with such poor exchange. You can try Kucoin. It's not cheaper but not expensive too I think.

Avoid using them however cheap the listing fee maybe. What's the point of Listing you IEO there if even a majority of people do not know about the exchange?
Trust me your IEO will not gather the funds you may want.

The exchange is still brand-new. Not even more than a month Old according to the domain registration information

The also have what looks like fake positive reviews on Trustpilot which to me is a dishonest move mostly made by scammers.

Aside from those reveals above then you already spot out the initial red flag which is on that cheap fee.If you do found out that they have less or almost no information about them then why would proceed?

Its not something new for those scam platforms existence and not all exchange does really have that intent to get known because majority of those new platforms are
just pretending to milk out some money from those noobs who do fall out into their trap. Stay away with this one..

These approaches are common by low-mid tier exchange. Spamming the admin on Telegram even if it's clearly not professional.

You can reply that you'll think of it and will reply to them if needed, but if after doing this they keep spamming you then just block them. Stick with more or less reputable exchange and if you can do it then do an IEO on a top-tier exchange. But I doubt IEO is still a thing after how most of them are just instant cash grab from exchange or developer themselves.

This exchange told me their company registration number is B66967969, which lookups another company Pinewood Solutions Sl. , So I am sure they are scammers

Update ,

Once we told them the company name was not registered to them they said that its a partner, we called them and they said no, then all people blocked us and left chat ! conclusion, someone is pulling a SCAM with this company bitsprox.pro.

I hope others search google first and this comes up to warn them ,

Why on earth would you pay some unknown platform to launch an IEO for you?

If you haven't heard of them and they haven't even secured their own success, what makes you think they'll be able to help you run a successful IEO?

Stay well clear, they might be legit, but your IEO will almost certainly fail if it's launched at some no-name exchange.

Never heard of this exchange before and the funny thing is if you don't know how to check the website you might befall for this scam exchange.
Actually there are no exchanges that are Build with Wordpress.

Check the source code using this "view-source:https://bitsprox.pro/" without quotes

As you can see it is built with Wordpress. Do you think you can trust them? For me, it is just built for scamming purposes.

Another thing is they don't have a privacy policy and terms.

And check their exchange page and check the source code.

They are just pulling data from crypto compare API(https://min-api.cryptocompare.com/data/price?) and use plugin to help the website design look real exchanges.

So for me, it is 100% scam be careful.

Nice approach mate when busting this scam exchanges pretending to have some volume  :)
I don't know much about web designing but this will be very helpful when I am trying to check if an exchange is legitimate especially with the asset price or order book.

OP since this has been proven to be scam as they have blocked you after asking them a simple question and several red flags have been revealed by members. Could you please Move this topic to the scam accusation board and update the title to something like "bitsprox.pro Exchange is Scam"

You can also update the OP with the findings members have revealed to you. Quoting them into the OP can help.
It's wonderful that you first asked before sending them your money

I will try to update the OP as you mentioned, Just hope they dont catch any new projects, Its so hard as a new project to get funding as it is, and then to have these guys steal it away from you, terrible.

I guess their response is understandable. Not all government bodies are taking care of such scams. I think you can report the abuse to the name registrar services and try to take down their website. Though they can simply create a new one. Pursuing or suing them will cost time and money which you probably don't have at this moment.

Btw, if you're sure they're from Spain, maybe try to use the report link from https://www.europol.europa.eu/report-a-crime/report-cybercrime-online.

It is what it was supposed to be. You are lucky that you tried to find the legitimacy, otherwise, you would end losing the fee.

There's nothing much you can do other than reporting the domain registrar ad the other guy said. There are a lot of scams which are yet to be traced.

Other projects need to see this thread. As it's proven that they're a scam, there might be some projects that will be seeing that amount they charge as a cheap fee for a project who's looking for an exchange to list them. Without researching, just hearing the exchange might get them excited. If your project is worth it @op, find a better exchange.

and use plugin to help the website design look real exchanges.
This must be the reason why the site loads too slow for me, having a lot of plugins.

Looks like you contacted the wrong authorities. I mean there isn't really any centralized force that's available to help out with cryptocurrency crimes since it's practically impossible track down any competent thief or hackers that steal cryptocurrencies.

Not sure why you would send 1.5 BTC to a company with absolutely no reputation, presumable with no contact info or details on the founders or team behind the platform either.

Bitsprox.pro itself is not to be trusted with since all they have are fake reviews and a considerably few honest feedback behind them. Like what they have said would you really try to launch your project's cryptocurrency on a not very well known crypto exchange? Your IEO listing itself will do poorly even if they handle it very well, with low volume and low people using their crypto exchange the sale target you would expect won't be reach. I would suggest aiming to the top even if it will cost you more so that your IEO will have a great start rather than starting poorly in a unreputable exchange, this will have long term effects on your crypto as well launching in a sketchy exchange. Basically you really don't want to be associated in this kind of things.
