Title: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: BlackHatCoiner on April 15, 2020, 04:44:12 PM I'm thinking that this is what happened.
Satoshi Nakamoto created this place, many people joined. Satoshi decided to make Admins some notable members. Then he left and never logged in again from the @satoshi account. Did admins change over time? Like every 2 or 3 years? Do new members get the admin role? Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? You're 2 weeks late for the annual "make a Newbie Admin party".Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: Welsh on April 15, 2020, 05:04:09 PM There's been several admins which have been appointed since Satoshi left, and several which are no longer active or staff members. Theymos has been the longest serving admin. There was a thread around here which I think documented the changes over the years, and has all staff movements.
There hasn't been any appointments of new users as an admin. You're 2 weeks late for the annual "make a Newbie Admin party". I heard there's some real good candiates running this year. From satoshi to sirius, theymos, badbear, and last was cyrus.Satoshi created the forum on Nov 22, 2009, and was head administrator until almost 2011. Then Sirius was head administrator until 2012, which is when I took over. Congratulations BadBear (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=734564.msg8298995#msg8298995)Congratulation Cyrus ! Post by: snipie on April 15, 2020, 06:33:36 PM What if @theymos is satoshi... ::) What if @theymos is not satoshi... ::)What if he was? What should we do exactly? I believe this story was said over and over many times here. Until now the only photo available for theymos is posted by an admin here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=555771.msg6055305#msg6055305 You can find theymos and ask him yourself if he is the great sato ::) Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: Welsh on April 15, 2020, 06:45:52 PM From satoshi to sirius, theymos, badbear, and last was cyrus. There's been a few other admins which were not "head" admins such as: Raoul Duke (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=9477) who was last active in 2019. My memory fails when they were no longer a staff member, but I believe there does exist a thread when they were made an admin. I said there was a few, but that might not be the case as my memory is coming up blank right now. I could have sworn there was a thread which documented all staff member changes throughout the years though. Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Raoul Duke = global mod / Portuguese sub mod https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=594768.msg6548994#msg6548994 (ex admin too?) Failed to find a topic about this hmm Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: mindrust on April 15, 2020, 07:21:15 PM I'll reveal the truth to you.
We all know theymos (forum admin) is satoshi. He just pretends like he doesn't know him. 8) The more you spend time around, you'll get it too. Post by: Welsh on April 15, 2020, 09:18:51 PM Stefan Thomas = admin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=107085.0 There we go, I think it may have just been me mixing up Raoul Duke, and Stefan Thomas. I've just done a quick search to back up that fact, and I can't see any mentions of Raoul as an admin so my memory may have been flawed. I knew there was at least one other admin which wasn't around anymore, and that seems to be Stefan rather than Raoul. Anyway, yea, even if someone of the admins is the creator of bitcoin, it doesn't matter to us. But I don't know what could happen if the goverment knew this guy ;D Are you a FBI double agent? Too many questions... my spider sense is tingling! Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: BlackHatCoiner on April 15, 2020, 09:52:42 PM Are you a FBI double agent? Too many questions... my spider sense is tingling! Hey, I'm a verified BTCTalk member now, I've got 2 whole merits ;D I'm just the guy that asks many questions when he gets active on a forum. ::) Especially on this giant forum. So many things to learn. I'm trying to examine bitcoin these days. I just have some questions that haven't solved them yet. But I don't give up, I will read books if I'll need. Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: notblox1 on April 15, 2020, 11:32:16 PM Newbie admins is something we all need to fix all the problems here. /not/
I wonder why nobody else had this idea before ;D Or maybe Satoshi is behind all this moderators accounts 8) Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: xtraelv on April 16, 2020, 03:04:14 AM What if @theymos is satoshi... ::) Theymos created the first block explorer. I think that is an accomplishment on its own merits. There are plenty of people around on this forum that are less well known and have made massive contributions to bitcoin and crypto in general. Just a few of them. Probably you made a fun with the op. We all know satoshi is still disguised although there is an account id named satoshi in this forum but we don't still know who the real satoshi is. Post by: NavI_027 on April 16, 2020, 11:30:30 AM Hmm, you are so hilarious but got an imaginative mind tho ;D. You also make me wonder for a second in all fairness. But like the others said, I also don't think one of the admins are related with satoshi because if anyone does then it is impossible for his tongue not to slipped and said even a single clue proving that he is related to satoshi even once (IMO).
For sure at least one of them already encountered him and had discussion here. Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: Frengki_cisco on April 16, 2020, 01:17:02 PM I'm thinking that this is what happened. What makes you think.....!Satoshi or something that makes you dizzy with no direction. Satoshi Nakamoto created this place, that's right, then..!many people joined. that's for sure, here a lot of Bitcoin is shared, you want that...!Satoshi decided to make Admins some notable members. You know that, you're great, then...!Then he left and never logged in again from the @satoshi account. everyone knows that, what if satoshi uses multiple accounts here.Did admins change over time? Like every 2 or 3 years? Do new members get the admin role? What if you open a company, for example about hospitality, do you want to replace the Admin with someone else...!Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: BlackHatCoiner on April 16, 2020, 01:20:47 PM I find you really upset my friend, they are just questions. Do you know something we don't? :)
Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: Heisenberg_Hunter on April 16, 2020, 05:16:56 PM From satoshi to sirius, theymos, badbear, and last was cyrus. I was going through some old archives of bitcointalk and found that Gavin Andresen (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=224) was the head admin when satoshi left the forum. Another interesting fact was that theymos was the global moderator and was made an admin at some point between January 2011 to November 2011. I took a snapshot of December 2010 archive of theymos account but the archives are missing right now in archive.org. This is how theymos account looked after the disappearance of satoshi in December 2010. Another Interesting fact is gavin was the administrator and theymos was a global moderator at the time when satoshi left and there was a feature like posts per day near your total post count in your profile and something like Respect was present. https://i.imgur.com/0GFbY63.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xRCghWR.jpg Title: Re: Are admins of bitcointalk related with satoshi? Post by: Adriane14 on April 17, 2020, 03:27:21 AM Satoshi is our Hero the legendary Pokemon hunter and the God of Bitcoin if he returns I will ask for a hug, not for a Bitcoin but for the revolution he started to save the like of us especially the unbanked and oppressed by the old order.
