I'm thinking that this is what happened.

Satoshi Nakamoto created this place, many people joined. Satoshi decided to make Admins some notable members. Then he left and never logged in again from the @satoshi account.

Did admins change over time? Like every 2 or 3 years? Do new members get the admin role?

There's been several admins which have been appointed since Satoshi left, and several which are no longer active or staff members. Theymos has been the longest serving admin. There was a thread around here which I think documented the changes over the years, and has all staff movements.

There hasn't been any appointments of new users as an admin.

I heard there's some real good candiates running this year.

Thinking is not necessary, that was actually happened.

From satoshi to sirius, theymos, badbear, and last was cyrus.

You can find theymos and ask him yourself if he is the great sato  ::)

There's been a few other admins which were not "head" admins such as:  Raoul Duke (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=9477) who was last active in 2019. My memory fails when they were no longer a staff member, but I believe there does exist a thread when they were made an admin.

I said there was a few, but that might not be the case as my memory is coming up blank right now. I could have sworn there was a thread which documented all staff member changes throughout the years though.

We all know theymos (forum admin) is satoshi. He just pretends like he doesn't know him.  8) The more you spend time around, you'll get it too.

I can't find threads related to Raoul for being once an admin just a global mod though.

Didn't find any of this as well.

There we go, I think it may have just been me mixing up Raoul Duke, and Stefan Thomas. I've just done a quick search to back up that fact, and I can't see any mentions of Raoul as an admin so my memory may have been flawed. I knew there was at least one other admin which wasn't around anymore, and that seems to be Stefan rather than Raoul.

That's one smart thermos right there!

Especially on this giant forum. So many things to learn. I'm trying to examine bitcoin these days. I just have some questions that haven't solved them yet. But I don't give up, I will read books if I'll need.

Newbie admins is something we all need to fix all the problems here. /not/

Theymos created the first block explorer. I think that is an accomplishment on its own merits. There are plenty of people around on this forum that are less well known and have made massive contributions to bitcoin and crypto in general.

Dear mate, are you sure that our forum admin (theymos) is real satoshi? Probably you made a fun with the op.
We all know satoshi is still disguised although there is an account id named satoshi in this forum but we don't still know who the real satoshi is.

Hmm, you are so hilarious but got an imaginative mind tho ;D. You also make me wonder for a second in all fairness. But like the others said, I also don't think one of the admins are related with satoshi because if anyone does then it is impossible for his tongue not to slipped and said even a single clue proving that he is related to satoshi even once (IMO).

For sure at least one of them already encountered him and had discussion here.

I wonder tho, if satoshi registered bitcoin.org or bitcointalk.org, wouldn't he reveal his ip? Or even his vpn ip?  ???

Even so, his IP is heavily encrypted. Nobody is able to crack the code 🤷

I was going through some old archives of bitcointalk and found that Gavin Andresen (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=224) was the head admin when satoshi left the forum. Another interesting fact was that theymos was the global moderator and was made an admin at some point between January 2011 to November 2011. I took a snapshot of December 2010 archive of theymos account but the archives are missing right now in archive.org. This is how theymos account looked after the disappearance of satoshi in December 2010.

Satoshi is our Hero the legendary Pokemon hunter and the God of Bitcoin if he returns I will ask for a hug, not for a Bitcoin but for the revolution he started to save the like of us especially the unbanked and oppressed by the old order.
