Hello friends, I want to know whether it is right to join bounties?
I have seen many threads where people say that your account should be kept clean.
Does the bounty task (Reporting) spoil posting history?
Actually, I want to rank up my account and do some earning, Is it possible both can be done?

Please help me with this what should I do?

That is completely normal. I still build my account well by writing many quality articles and I still get money from bounty campaigns. In fact, when participating in bounty programs, we will not be able to post freely anymore, but we can still create posts that contribute to the community. and when your post is good enough, you will still get Mods to send merit to you and you will still be promoted.

Yes of course, once you rank up to full member you can join signature campaign. Actually you can now as a member rank but its much better if you will rank up first to Full member so you have a higher rewards. There are campaign that pays btc but of course manager consider the posting quality of the user to join the campaign. But its okay if you cant join on btc paid there are lots of altcoin campaign but you need to pick which one is legit cause there are lots of scam in the bounty section.

My motive is to know that account does not remain clean due to bounty reporting?
Signature is a separate debate, it is a fact that it is wrong to wear the signature of any scam project.

It's not right or wrong to join bounties instead it's a privilege to join one and you're always welcome to participate in any of them advertising on the forum provided they're legitimate and not promoting spamming on the forum. People only advice not to participate in them because most of them this days aren't worth it and they make your post history messed up with social media report which is likely to reduces your chances of getting accepted into a bitcoin paying signature campaign.

These days there aren't much bitcoin paying campaigns so if you come across a promising bounty and you feel like joining, do join them but always takes out times to clean up your account once that bounty has ended. Delete the bounty reports as they're no longer useful but only makes your post history messed up.

PS: As a manager, an account that has several post history of engaging in quality discussion on the forum has a greater chance of getting accepted into any campaign that I'm managing irrespective of that account having some bounty reports but when an account post history is just filled up with bounty reports and apply to join a signature campaign under my management, they'll get rejected.

Some managers may consider it as a spam when you were doing so many report. If you wanna rank up your account and just follow what already mentioned by him. he was making a lot of good points.

There's only less requirement in bounty campaign especially if you'll participate the signature campaign.
I understand that you like to rank up because you will get better reward with high rank account, and you ask if its possible, of course it is, just earn a lot of merits and you'll rank up in time.

You are in a forum. Are you here to just make money in the form of worthless shitcoins or want to learn something about bitcoin, discuss about it and in doing so build a good posting quality which can help you earn something that is decent?

If you want to go for the first option then by all means start spamming in the bounty section though it has lost its prior glory days now. But if you are in the second one then you have work hard on getting to know this forum first.

Clean in the sense that you remain honest and do not try to cheat a rewarding system by using unfair means. What are those unfair means?<just ask your conscience, which if you lack will not help you here.

If you are making an account in this forum with the sole desire to spam bounty report then it is looked down upon. However you will not be punished for that.

Bounty postings won't get your account ruined unless you are a shit poster, making posts that are very useful or creating quality topics will get you ranked up pretty quick, you don't need to worry about any of this, just do what you do best

Bounty reports on you post history is not a big issue to your account's reputation the issue will raise only if your post history has full of bounty reports and nothing more.So you still can rank up even after participating in bounties.

Clean account means not trying to break rules by cheating others, promoting a well known scam project, posting shit posts and respecting the forum rules always, this has nothing to do with bounties unless you willing promote a scam project, do research a project before promoting, you will be fine

My advice is follow the bounty project that is convincing and paying. just follow a maximum of 2 projects, so that the report history is not so disturbing, continue to contribute to this forum. So that your account rises in rank and it's easier to apply for BTC paid bounties per week.

You should know that it's not easy to make money in crypto space, many bounty projects are scam and time wasters, I think it's better to focus more on creating good posts to rank up, highest ranks get payment from bounties because they are paid in BTC instead of tokens and altcoins

IMO, it's still worth it to join as long you can choose the best bounty but in the current status of bounties, I guess you will have a struggle on choosing one because even the decent projects still end up on being bad projects. Then, based on what I see on some thread here, it seems the year which bounty is good is in the year 2017. Although we see different failed projects in the previous months, I can say that participating in bounties is still worth it as long as you earn profit from it and your effort and time are not wasted. But, in this time some member here is now choosing the campaign who pay in bitcoin than the campaign who pay you in bounty token.

And to the OP, having bounty reports in your account will not spoil your post history and as long you didn't break any rules your account is clean and safe. Nothing stops you from joining the bounty of your choice. It is you that should make your own standards as to what bounty you must join and you must not. Are you aware of what reward you will be accepting upon joining them? are they worth it altcoins or just tokens that are floating in the air waiting for a certain value or there will be no value at all if it's already launched? Bounties are incentives that you can join but they are entirely different to each other and you have to set your own measures before joining them.

The issue here is not whether you join bounties or not, but your posting habits and history. If you join bounties which just requires like 10-15 posts a week and bounty managers not checking the quality of post then you might fall to the habit of just posting to quality for the weekly quota. 2/3 shit posts a day and off you go. Joining bounty campaign need to research to make sure that you get your reward because if you are advertising a bounty and if it's not legit your work will not be worth it because spending time bounty will takes few months .

Admin, moderators do not banned accounts with bounty reports in your account history unless they are spam due to over reporting (it happened to someone I know) so it is completely normal. Make sure to choose good bounties and those BM or Bounty Campaign with Red Flag cause you might get Red Flag as well by joining them. You can join bounty signature campaign with your rank now.

How will a bounty hunter who wears signature of any project at the inception of the bounty campaign know they are scam? If projects announce from the beginning that they are scam then its wrong to wear their signature

I believed Facebook and Twitter reporting while participating in a bounty campaign tends to makes it difficult to earn merit according to the OP of course he wanted to earn both merit and money your opinion is good ie he should delete some the reports when stakes had been counted.

Yes, because good posts tend to get merit from other people, especially if they can help everyone and can benefit everyone, because as far as I see no one gives merit to the bounty report, because the bounty report is clear not a post that deserves merit.

Ranking up your account has to do with posting educative threads, useful comments, and posts and does not disturb you from bounty task reports.

Most manager prefers a good history of an account. If you will join a big campaign that pays a lot on the service section then you must have a good anf quality post. It doesnt mean if your english is bad you wont be accepted. What they prefer are those who are not spamming to achieve their qouta for signature and those who act naturally when doing posting.

There is nothing wrong whether you join a non signature campaign it doesnt affect much your account but of course limit it to few cause its bad to see your profile when all your post are all about reporting links.

Well, what joshy23 would be the best option for you. You can disregard bounty campaigns since what you really after is to rank up and make your account better or clean without anything that will ruin your post history, it is better to contribute to this forum by posting constructive content that can help everyone in this forum.

as long as you join an honest bounty (no scam) of course the report will never pollute your account, the problem now is that many newbie accounts don't care about the red trust obtained by the bounty manager and continue to promote the scam project

You are right, new people are blindly engaging in bounty. They join all the bounty here in hopes of making a lot of money without doing research. And then we see a bunch of spam bounty accounts and it pollutes this forum

Since 2018 its becomes very rare to find project which really pays their participants in the USD value,this is just because of the long bearish trends on crypto space followed by scam projects everywhere so no one is really interested on ICOs so legit projects moved to IEOs which is even over now.

I saw some bounty hunters made good threads and they earned huge merits for that, so they ranked up the account and did bounties at the same time!

Absolutely! Content, Translation bounty doesn't ask weekly reports, so by doing these your account won't be spammy! There are some bounties ongoing by Bounty Detective team! They asked participants to send work report through form, not by posting on the thread! So, OP can join in those bounties!

It's always ok to join bounties and promote ICO as long as you are promoting a clean project, always check if there are issues on the project you are promoting, you might be too late to find out that you are still promoting a project that was tag as a scam project and members here will also tag you for continuous promoting such project.

Yes, there really is no harm in joining the bounty now, because there are still bounties that are very worthy to be followed as an example that I follow today, I am very sure that the bounty that I joined is a good bounty and it will be successful later.

The last time I participated in a bounty was many years back. I stopped participating in them, as the outcome was not always positive for me. But still, I would encourage the users to participate in bounties under certain circumstances. In case you are a new user, then you need to increase your merit score to rank up. So you need to make posts anyway. So there is no harm in displaying a bounty signature along with your posts. But don't expect any heavy rewards from this. It's more like a charity.

Hello friends, You want to know whether  is right to join bounties or not. i think alltime you can join bounty but before join the bounties you should inquiry about bounty project(you can find out team member,advisor,partner etc information) that are they qualified or not. Before joining a bounty you should read carefully their whitepaper. If you maintain this things i think you can pick right bounties as well as earning some.

your asking if its now the right time to join a bounty well yes it is  . its okay for you to join a bounty because your account was already a member rank but actually some newbies and junior members can be accepted too depending on the campaign rule or depending on the manager  . some can make exception if they see that you have a potential  . you can rank up while joining a bounty  and infact its the best time to rank up once your in a campaign because being in a campaign forces you to write meaningful posts because you wanted to get paid  .

With good quality post, I don't think there will be any problem if you participate in Bounties. This good quality post will improve your rank as well as for participation on bounties a good income also generated.

The reason most are not so conscious of the type of post they make, particularly posts that can qualify to get merits, is because their minds are most times on so many things, such as the social media or content creation they so much engage in. Although, I believe that whoever can create good content, should be able to make a good that would worth being merited.
Sometimes, a post might be very good, but it might not attract the attention of the person that has smerit or that it might be hidden from the presence. Comments are the ones that fall victims of this, but if you are good at construction good topic with their post and if they are problem-solving posts, you will definitely be merited.

I still think you can both earn merit and also get bounties done at the same time. Merit is given to people who are providing a proper posts and messages, you have to be writing something that provides information to people that they can find helpful or you can write something funny, nobody really knows why one gives merit to another but normally it was initially created so that only the good quality posters gets merit from each other and spammers are less and less.

Now this doesn't mean you can't join bounty, you can do that but you won't get merit for joining a bounty, yet you can also write something very high quality somewhere else as well, which could maybe get merit, so that way you would be both in a bounty and also get merit at the same time from two different posts.

There is nothing wrong with doing bounties. If you’re not going to do them, then there is no other way that you can earn money from here, unless you will be going for airdrops. Airdrops are another means that you can use for earning money, though there are some that are scammers.

It happened to me a lot of times in airdrops, and one of them changed their platform without informing HODL’ers, and I woke up to tokens that are worth $0. Bounty campaigns are good and better in my own opinion, there isn’t anything that you will have to be losing, except if you work for a fake campaign.

The question isn't about whether it is right or not to join bounties since that decision is up to you. IF you want to have a hard time finding them and then once you find one have a high chance of getting robbed of your time then go for it. As you can guess from my tone, bounties aren't so valuable anymore since it's very difficult to come across a good project that's going to succeed an has the money to pay for a bounty. This is also due to the added difficulty added on by the market pressure lock as a result of the virus. So better to look for something else. Good luck!

Yes you can , if you see a good project you can promote, then you can join bounties and earn while you rank up also .

I think you already know the Rules when joining Bounty. Well At the moment the percentage of success of the Bounty Project depends on the active team in attracting investors. I noticed that you are using an IQ Cash signature, of course it is a pretty good choice because Coin IQ has been registered in several exchanges so you can successfully get money when the project you are participating in ends.

Currently joining bounties are really waste of time and energy as most of projects are scam or fake good time already gone for this all but if we have some good in market in near future then surely we will have some good but right now its never been good idea and after joining bounties you never been go above rank as many members have more then 1000 posts in bounties and never have any merit for this you need to do some creative work.

When i joined in this forum there was no merit system. So for rank push we just needed to spent some time in this thread and made some good quality post (not bounty report link). So time spent and your post quantity made you activity which help to your profile to push a rank. But now you have to good quality post for earn merit other wise your activity is nothing. You can't earn merit with posting report so may be those people said for kept clean your account. Which is wrong though. You can earn merit or rank up your account besides doing bounty. All you need just good quality post.

I don't think so. the important thing is not all of your posts are weekly bounty reports :D You also have enough merit, meaning your posts have a lot of quality. good job. And if the bounty is over and your stakes have been calculated correctly then delete those reports immediately. The trend has recently changed, many bounty managers use Google forms for participants to make weekly reports, I think that is very effective.

To get greater rewards, we do have to improve the quality of our posts, especially if you want to focus on the signature campaign. Because many altcoin bounties are full of drama, bounty campaigns with BTC rewards are a very good choice, but rare, the rules are strict. Most must have at least sr.member if you want to join.

Mostly hunter just posting a social media reports on their account.that will make BM hard to accept member who want to join in signature campaign because they don't know the post quality of member. Of course for token rewards will be more easy to accept, but if you want to join in bitcoin or eth campaign it will be hard to be accepted.

Another problem, mostly hunter register in all campaign, so no time for him to make a quality post, let say he join in 10 campaign, if every day he make 2 report posts, and just make 2 good posts a week, of course his account still like nothing.

So if you want to rank up, focus to make a good posts, join andd focus in max 3 campaigns so you have more time to manage your bitcointalk account and make a good posts.

Joining in bounties is one of the reliable way to earn here however you should not promote a scam project because it wont benefit you and the people seeing the project you advertise.

Having a history fill of bounty reports can mimimize your chance to be accepted in a btc paying campaign. But I think its fine because you can start over by engaging yourself in a good topic and discussion here, in that way you can earn merit and had a chance to rank up.

Some campaign has a rigid rule to make sure they look legit and not try to spam bitcointalk forum and then there are bounty managers that have their own rule to what user allow to join and what not. Some managers do look after your post history to determine if you suit for their campaign or not. Some don't but most agree that posting under shitposts like off-topic, too many posts at local-language thread or social activity weekly report will make your post history look bad.

There is nothing bad in joining bounties at all, even through signature campaign of bounties, if you write quality posts on the thread, you can scale up your merit.  The problem comes in at times when one joins fraudulent bounties frequently.  This can bring some reputation damage to the account even negative trust at times.  The summary is, join good bounties at least to some extent and post quality posts.

You can also increase your account rank to get payments that are at least worth the work you do. at least the full member is good enough

Ranking up your account at the moment here in the forum is not that easy anymore to do it. Unlike Wayback 2017 the forum is not that strict by that time. But now you need to make constructive for you to be given by the merit of others here. Then, joining bounty so far is not that good. Unless you know how to choose the right one project bounty.

Well... your account needs to be kept clean, as reputation matters a lot here. I have seen some of my friends getting nuked here, for a single mistake. So be careful about what you do. If you promote scammy projects, and if you are really unlucky, then some DT member or a moderator will paste your account with red trust, making it completely worthless.

joining bounty campaign will enhance your engagements here in the forum. you can continue to learn in the forum and making money at the same time if you have chosen the right project to join with.

Yes, that's right, but in the spam category there are also limits, if someone posts a weekly report on a tread bounty, then it can be considered spam if the bounty provides a special form for each weekly report, but also won't be considered spam if the manager doesn't provide a special form for the report and give permission for participants to post the report.

if you want to increase your account level You have to make a quality post so that other users give you a merit if your level is included in the category please join the bounty and choose the bounty correctly to get results

You have every right to join bounties if you are up to the level, like account rank from Jr members and up, you can even do other campaigns that doesn't requires any account levels of ranks, just don't promote projects that are tagged scam already

I think you should post constructive and positive posts in this forum. From there your rankings will be increased and you can participate in signature campaigns. As far as I know, the signature campaign will bring you more money and your post history will also be a lot cleaner because you don't need to report every week.

I do not think that ranking up is possible now with new merit systems unless you have high expertise and knowledge of everything related to crypto and your English is also very good, otherwise it will be very hard to earn so many merit points to rank up.

Well if you are looking for good way to earn money, joining in bounty campaign is a good idea however because of wide spreading of scam project it would not be easy to find good campaign that may give you a better rewards. But when you talking upgrading your rank here in this forum I think making quality post writing good articles that probably helps to other will lead you to rank up by giving some merits on your pots. I was in the bounties before and I've experienced joining scam projects and not getting paid but 2017 has a market historic event for crypto and everyone who participated bounties, we all been having a great day that year. But I can't imagine the big change in bounties and it is really hard to find a good and legit one. And the bad thing is that most members who are coming from bounties have a lesser chance to get into BTC paid campaign because of the nature of their posting especially when you are participating in social media campaigns. Yes it is but at least you can join as many article campaign as you can, compare to signature bounty campaign where you need one campaign to join only, so if there are five campaign and those campaigns are all good, you can only job one campaign, but on article campaign you can join as many campaign as you like.

The allocation for various campaigns will be given before the start and you can check that before joining a particular campaign. Personally, I have never joined article creation bounties, because there are so many complexities involved in them. Thats right, if he will join in a btc paying signature campaign he can earn and there's a chance to rank up if he receives a merit for his post. But if he will join in altcoin bounty then his post history will be fill of bounty reports and he cant earn merit through that. So if op wants to join in bounty then he should post a quality/useful post as well. This way he can rank up while participating in bounty.

Today, the signature campaign is no longer the same as before, now the signature campaign accounts for only 10-20% of the total pool. So the reward will be much less than before, in my opinion the content campaign is being preferred and you will get more money if you join them.

as i saw that you are member (OP), i think that you can already take part in several bounty's , and as you take part in bounty you also ranking up by posting for them , and with time your rank get's higher and you earn more by taking part in the next bounty with a higher rank

If you want to join a signature campaign, then it is a good idea to make sure that the posts-per-week requirement is a reasonable number. No matter whether your intention is to write only high-quality posts, if a campaign wants you to make say 50 posts per week, but you only have maybe an hour a day on the forum, that means about 7 posts per hour... in which case it is impossible to keep the quality high. Look at what they want, and make sure it is achievable. Also try as much as you can to make sure that it is a good project, don't just join whatever claims to offer the most $$$ - if their project fails, then their coin and so the reward will be worthless.

Merit sources have the habit of overlooking bounty hunters. It is something to move away from nowadays if you wish to earn some merits, then you gain a rank and probably should join a signature campaign later on instead of wasting time on bounty campaigns.

Actually you can now as a member rank but its much better if you will rank up first to Sr member so you have a higher rewards. Yes, you can do it both. Honestly, its really hard to rank up nowadays because it requires a creative posts and you must contribute in the forum to earn merit. You must focus more in making contructive posts just be consistent and learn some new stuff about cryptocurrency. It's very right to join bounty and still make meaningful post mad not just bounty only post that contributes nothing to this community but spam post. You can always clean your bounty report post long after bounty is over and reward has been distributed.

If he does not clean it, I do not think that should affect his ranking up. Good posts amidst bounty reports should still get merit if it catches the attention of someone who likes it and has the smerit to give out.

Very difficult to guess. Even the bounty campaign that was thought to be a scam turned out to give a pretty good reward. it reminded me of the Mycro bounty. Many consider it a scam because the team uses an avatar and not the original photo on their profile. Lol

So I think joining bounties is right the only problems in joining bounties is there are still scam projects and sometimes the project don't go well that they didn't have a chanve to reach the softcap and hardcap, that is why it mostly ends up unsuccessful and you will only receive a few amount of rewards.
