Title: Namecoin wallet help Post by: Danasd1 on March 21, 2014, 01:48:57 AM so i start my namecoin wallet and i get a namecoin error saying "Error loading blkindex.dat". then another window pops up saying a runtime error. i cant figure out how to fix this it worked fine about a week ago.

1) backup your wallet to a safe location(the most important part :) ) the wallet (wallet.dat) can usually be found: Code: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\Namecoin(Windows XP) 2) delete all files except "wallet.dat" from Code: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\Namecoin(Windows XP) 3) restart namecoin client and wait until synchronization will be completed. Check by launching Windows Explorer then click on the View menu on the ribbon, now tick 'Hidden items'.
