Title: GPU mining
Post by: JohnsonX on April 28, 2020, 12:27:19 PM
Is it worth mining with GPUs any more? I was thinking of maybe building a mining rig, but it seems like it's not worth it anymore. Am I wrong?

Your Feathercoin logo peaked my interest. Basically Feathercoin is a coin I used to mine back in 2014, no idea if it exists anymore. Hence I clicked your username and see that you joined in 2013. So you are pretty much an early adopter.

Sure brings back memories.

Basically unless you got FREE power or very very cheap $0.05/kwh power, its not worth it. Too many GPUs miners out there in a saturated market. Just go to www.whattomine.com and put in 30MH/s and 130Watts for Ethereum and there is your answer. Basically with $0.10 power which is average you make very little. With cheaper power you make something however you need to question yourself if its worth the hassle. Might as well just buy BTC and ETH and hodl.
