Better stop advertising your exchange as anonymous as it will just be an endless contradictions

They should probably throw away the anonymous crypto exchange line. That can never be possible. Not on the clearnet

Opening a new threads just because the previous one was filled up with queries won't save you from the previously asked questions in this forum. Transparency is a very important here.

As per GDPR regulation, we are eligible to disclose the personal information only in certain cases and in amount limited to the final goal of such a disclosure. As per our Privacy Policy rules, we might disclose information only for subcontractors that serve us in order to deliver our Services to you; please note, that all these subcontractors are members of our business enterprise. In addition, please note, that currently, we do not serve fiat payments, hence no disclosure to the banks or other relevant financial institutions might take place.

I'm only interested in this bolded part.

How anonymous is anonymous to you? Or is it anonymous only up to the point where a random activity is labeled suspicious? In which case, withdrawal is locked while a crazy amount of information is required from the account owner?

And limitless, too? Meaning to say, I can create an account there, remain anonymous, and allowed even up to a thousand BTC deposit and withdrawal in a day?

How is your AML mechanism?

The policy doesn't only pertains to your "subcontractors" who are members of your business enterprise. and I doubt cloudflare which has access to your site's data is a part of that.

I'd call it pseudonymous, even if you don't collect KYC details, you collect (and the third parties too like their hosting provider) other sets of data too like transaction details, browser, ip address, email address etc.. if you combine those you can make up a user profile and when it gets passed around, gets combined with other sets of data, it becomes easier to relate it to a real person.

but then again, in your terms, it states you may collect/use data which has the user's real name, address etc...


@op, the policy is designed in a way that it's perfectly fine when you actually do it(X), and that also states a possibility. so you advertising this as an anonymous exchange doesn't look credible rn, even pseudonymous won't apply at this point. Not to mention that authorities could always take in charge. The no kyc, no limits doesn't seem sustainable imo.

The transaction is anonymous to all third parties and the enhanced due diligence procedures might be imposed only in case the transaction is identified as suspicious. Hence, we might require additional documentation from user to be presented before processing the return transaction. The user is always eligible to decline provision of KYC documents and in such a case we have to restitute the amounts sent to us.

Our AML mechanism includes best practices and is in compliance with all the policies applicable. We have a compliance department in place being responsible for identifying all suspicious activities as well as we are using most reputable KYC-software solutions. Unfortunately, we are not eligible to disclose internal operational information such as triggers for enhanced due diligence to be applied as per security reasons.

We can obtain personal information in case of user’s consent or in case of KYC measures applied.

Please note, that we follow the limitation principles while disclosing any portion of personal information to our subcontractors as well as the best security practices. Please be informed that we disclose only information required for our subcontractor to provide the service to us/our product (e.g. outsourcing designers do not get any piece of such information, bur security service providers might). In addition, all our subcontractors sign NDAs and are not eligible to disclose such information without Personal Data Subject further.

So the point is you can get ahold of user data and it can be disclosed to people outside of your control which again contradicts the anonymity you are advertising. It's pretty much impossible for a centralized exchange which is in compliance with the government.

To be fair, I think this is not a centralized exchange. They are offering non-custodial exchange, similar to what Shapeshift used to offer before it finally succumbed to the centralized way of doing stuff: need to open an account, need to comply KYC, and so on.

I used to be a huge fan of Shapeshift until they transformed into something else.

To be honest, I like what they are offering, although I don't know how reliable they are at it. This is a dying service in the face of legal fears.


I understand but I think that would also put your clients at a disadvantageous position. For all we know, those triggers might be subjective or too sensitive. Is it really a security threat to give your customers a little clue on what could trigger enhanced due diligence? Don't be like Binance marketing a 2-BTC withdrawal limit to unverified accounts only to end up freezing transactions way lesser than the limit because of hidden triggers.


This is nice. But I hope the restitution is instant. Is it?

Centralized as long as there's a central entity in control. and I wouldn't call it non-custodial if at some point they have an access to your funds. Like if somehow a user triggers the suspicious flag, they can temporarily hold your funds until you made the decision of undergoing KYC or not.

As we mentioned before, all our internal regulation is based on best practices and legislation, hence we suggest you to take a look through FATF Materials (FATF has pretty good guides), 5AMLD  and Government’s Money Laundering Regulations and acts amended by such a regulation.
Our internal approaches cannot be disclosed, unfortunately.

We will make a refund as soon as you write to our support that you refuse to undergo the KYC procedure. Refunds are made only to the original address from which the funds were sent.
