Wait a while.  The forum software probably has a scheduled task to "upgrade" accounts, so just wait for it to happen.  In the meanwhile, browse some more threads.

yeah lurking while logged in doesn't seem to do do it, not sure how it measures but if you just leave the window open for four hours its not enough.

I really loathe the 5 posts rule...seams like a way to promote spam posts to me and keeping us locked up in a playpen till we fill there requirements lol....

It's vital to keep out the riff raff. We don't want idiotic people pasting random drivel, we want quality constructive threads like this

Look up at the top next to your name.  Total time logged in needs to be >4 hours.

It should just be 1 post, min 1000 characters. You can tell right away from that whether someone is a spam bot or a real person.

Yep, me too.

You're currently only 23 minutes away from becoming a Jr. Member. I bet you can't wait to rap with Atlas and Matthew. They've been known to be on the same thread at the same time, although lately it's been getting stale. Then again, I've been too busy with Bitcoin100 to read what's happening on the other threads. Hope I haven't missed much. You're probably wonder why I'm here in newbie. The answer: Never forget where you came from!

This is rather annoying. I want to start posting in the regular forums but have to be on for 4 hours!? And make 10 posts!? I understand they need to keep the riff raff out but there has to be a better way. Because this is sort of discouraging me. I'll try to hang in there though.

The 4 hour stuff is annoying, but it is only a one-time thing. If you have an 'auto refresh' plugin for your browser you can just set it and walk away.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely do that!
