Title: Pi Network is gaining traction rapidly, is it really worth mining?
Post by: cryptohome on May 01, 2020, 05:10:04 PM
The project Pi network has been growing its user base on a very rapid pace. is the project really worth mining?
over 3 million App downloads and over 100,000 users applying to run a node is not something which we can ignore..

What you think??
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Just like GRIN, it might gain some hype then eventually die down when there aren't really alot of uses for it in real life.

I don't understand the kind of traction it's really gaining.  Some users have confirmed it that it's a waste of time.  I have even uninstalled the mining app on my phone having mined some amount.  I don't think it has any worthy prospect, just a hype.

IMHO it's a hype. Even if it by some miracle becomes tradable, i understand that to actually get what you mined, you have to do kyc.
And how usually these things are, the team behind it will dump before the 1st kyc is approved

Many people have been talking about this project and so on but never found the chance to do an indepth research on it to know why it is on the lips of all and sundry. Nevertheless, since it is about mining, there might be a new thing they are doing and I don't mind installing to see if it's just hype as most new projects normally do or something worthwhile.

Maybe it is, maybe not it's to early to tell, they are just starting out, all we have now is speculation, so far they are on the right course based on their roadmap, if they do ask for KYC, they have already told that to all it's users, with millions of people supporting them and the developers are boasted with their credentials, this project has a good potential.

As far as I can see, it is nothing more than an app that can discharge the phone. A project that cannot be compared to GRIN. There is no community support behind like GRIN.

Mobile mining may be possible someday. However, existing li-ion batteries must undergo a revolution first. Because mining with these capacities is very difficult. In addition, it is impossible to run existing phones at the same time as daily use in mining with a high degree of difficulty.
If only mobile devices are to be mined, this has no logic. It would make more sense to continue digging BTC with rigs.

This is a bullshit project and it cannot be compared to GRIN. GRIN is a great project in this market and it is growing every day. The PI Network is a scam project and it will definitely crash in the future

I don't expect that pi network project may leave a positive impact with its mobile mining procedure. From the last year their development still in slow process, the pi network team seems unprofessional they're just creating hype and didn't present anything reasonable yet and the most important the beta testing of their mobile app has been over months ago but still the team didn't list their coin on a notable exchange which shows that they're not confident with their project.

I had installed this app for about 3 months, it was totally useless, but now it seems that project has a good direction. It is already listed on some exchange? Because finally we need to know how much is the price for 1 token.  ;)
