Hey Everyone,

I am finally back to being able to source supplies for the Satoshi Chips poker chip wallet series. I have a new chip for the series that is currently on its way which I will include in a teaser link below. It has been quite a while since the last release so I will be dropping the next chip very soon after this one. I hope you all like it and I will continue to sell these chips for $7 (BTC or XMR) unless you are making a large bulk order. These chips will of course continue to include the serialized Satoshi Chip tamper proof sticker. The teaser release is of the 0.001 denomination which will have a total supply of 500, and the next one I will drop soon is the 0.1 chip of which only 250 will be made. Announcement!!

To show some appreciation for all the interest in the series thus far I will be giving away 3 fully funded 0.001 chips with shipping on me. If you are are winner from outside the US shipping is tough for small items but we can try to work something out or at the very least I will send you the BTC. For this drawing I will include the first 20 people to respond in this thread starting with Geo he will be #1 (already responded in thread). Thanks again everyone I look forward to sending these fully funded ones out to the winners late next week. I am open to any method you all think is best for choosing the three randoms or I will just use random generator with a 1-20 range.

PS- I will update this list periodically until 20 respond and also it looks like Minerjones can help with shipping outside the US so we can certainly work something out on that front.

Looks like all the raffle spots have now been taken. That is great I really look forward to drawing the random winners from the list this weekend. It looks like a few of you who commented later may not have gotten spots but I appreciate you visiting the thread and engaging. For the random winners I will just use a Basic random number generator online with a range of 1-20 then post the pics after I have done this. PS in this case no dual winners If someone happens to win twice/thrice(lmao) I will just rerun the generator.  After the drawing I will reach out to the winners and get those fully funded chips in the mail for all of you with shipping on me!  ;)

Why dont we just pick a future block to determine the winners?

That is a great Idea and I would totally be willing to do it. How best to implement though cause some winners maybe single digits vs others being two in addition to the fact we three winners. Maybe three blocks in a row after a certain block height?

you could use the last character of a block to determine - often what i see in a lot of the raffles do is 0-9 and a-f -- total of 16 slots - I think you said you were putting 20 in your raffle?

not sure how best to accommodate 20 unless you maybe use the last 2 characters and use 01 thru 20 - if the block ends with anything else, just use the next one? or use 00-99 (100 slots) and assign 5 numbers to each person? If ends in a alpha character then go to the next block?

then repeat however many times you need to for your 3 winners.

I am sure someone might have a better way.

This really is tricky so many ways to make this random. I am down for using 01 through 20 and disregard blocks that do not fall into this convention. I was also thinking maybe just using the block time and regard seconds only for example say after a agreed upon block the next falls at 12:08:18 #18 would be the winner and if the seconds are between 21-59 move on to next block. I am game for whatever you guys all think is most fair and best either way stoked to see who wins these!

I dont know the best way for 20 tbh other than giving everyone 5 numbers each - like a block 00-04, 05-09 etc etc then if alpha go to next block.

Hey Everyone,

I am getting ready to do the raffle for those who have entered. To make it fair, verifiable, and easy I am going to use the seconds field from the time the block is created starting at block 630600. Essentially if a block falls on XX:XX:14 #14 would be a winner this should provide a random way to give all 20 entrants an equal shot to win. Of course seconds 21-59 will be invalid and the next block will be considered. Once again also no dual winners so those cases will be disregarded as well. Either way I look forward to seeing how this works and sending those out to the winners  :).

I dont see an issue with it, as it is not something you personally can control and it beats a random generator  - after all this is bitcoin! so using something related to bitcoin like the block find time is great!
