Yesterday, for unknown reason, suddenly I feel the urge to gamble again. When the lock down was implemented here, land based casinos are close. I'm more of a physical casino player, however, I was not affected by the closure because I thought that this will just last for a week or two.

But yesterday was a different feeling though, their was like a feeling that I need to go to casino and play. Maybe it was just the effect of the boredom during this lock down. There are some mental stimulus, like my sister-in-law inadvertently says that he doesn't have any identification with her but his casino ids. LOL. Anyways, here is what I did to fight this inner demon within me.

1. Do some exercise, good thing about this lock down is that me and my kid age, 14 are doing some calisthenics and body weight exercises. So we did some reps and sets to keep my mind busy.

2. Netflix is your friend during this lock down.  :). Watch movies that interest me.

3. I visualize myself totally stopping my gambling even after the lockdown. Yes, this is very tough on me, but I spend hours in my room doing some sort of mental visualization.

4. Talk to families, anything under the sun, bond with them, it is very relaxing.

5. Youtube. Search for inspirational video on how to quit gambling.

I don't know if you felt this feeling in this lock down. But for me it is real and I have to fight it back.

Do you guys have the same experience? How did you overcome it? Share your experience so that other gamblers will know how to respond.

Of course there are a lot of crypto based online game, yes I play online as well, but the land base casino is very different at least in my case.

When it comes to experience and ambiance then you can really tell the difference between physical and online ones.
Im also a player of two but i do play depending on my mood but now since we are on a pandemic then we dont have any choice but here are the
thing ive been doing when that urge comes out.

1. Cleaning my Car and my motorcycle
2. Cleaning Inside and Outside of the entire house  ;D
3. Exercising
4. After that then i do watch movies.

There are times that you feel this urges, however, just think of the possible things that could happen if you give your self away from this. Anyways, you don't have any option since casinos are closed. Diversion is always the key to keep your mind away from something. I do something when I come to the same point, if for example I want to buy or do something that is way beyond my budget, I visualize and think how would I feel after buying or doing something, then after that I don't feel the urge anymore.

It's really a struggle, all the things you mentioned and done are all good to make your mind and body busy so it will stop the urge to gambling, but it's hard to stop something you've been doing and getting excited for years, you have a chance to get over the urge because you are trying to replace it with new habits and besides you really can't go to physical casinos at this point in time.

These kinds of feeling in times like this are starting to pop, you are not the only one, there's a lot of us. Some people there may be starting to learn gamble online because they are really eager to gamble.
We all know that this is a kinda temporary situation, but this could also help us in our gambling life, like if we can start to control our gambling this now, so if no more lockdowns and casinos are open, we learn to control ourselves.

Right, you're not alone, I'm sure a lot of gamblers here in this community has that itch to go back into their gambling habits. You need to get your mind out of it, definitely a struggle, but if you have the will power then for sure you can do it. Learn new skills might be a good idea, and try it with your family so that it will be more healthier mentally. And once you mastered on how to overcome the struggles, you will adapt to it. For a gambler, I think not necessary for them to share our experience. The reason is, those things to kill boredom will automatically be popped out on everyone's mind. We do have our own way as everyone is different.

I will not share mine because my activity this lockdown is just the same as with most of the people here or outside the forum.

But I'm amazed at you OP for deciding to stop doing gambling. I hope you can keep to your words and be an inspiration to those who also want to stop.

I actually found something pretty inspiring when I was browsing through my wall. If somehow, by the end of the lockdown, I wasn't able to learn any new skill that I could call my own ( even if it's at the beginner level), then that means I'm just lazy. Was pretty hit by it initially but then I remembered I was actually learning how to draw and how to repair various stuff aka breaking them apart then building it again. It was pretty fun. The lockdown is pretty much time for you to find something you want to do. Ofc, it's pretty hard. Ngl, drawing frustrates me so much sometimes cause the image won't match up with what's in my imagination but hell, that's what everyone experiences at the start I'm sure.

Gamblers must be having a really hard time fighting the gambling urge during these lockdown days. Personally, I think it is good for them because they are somehow weaned from their vice because of it. However, just like you, OP, others are really trying hard looking for some other stuff they can get themselves busy with. But a lot of them failed. Here in my neighborhood alone, a few people are still sneaking into each other's house to play their favorite card games.

I feel what you experience too because we are in the same conditions, and I am sure that many people have the same thing as you. But perhaps, we have a different way to kill the boredom as we have a different thing that we do every day. What you said to us is a good way to kill the boredom.

Perhaps, you don't need to be in your room, but you should be with another member family in the family room, talk to them or watch television together with them, or you can do something together with them. I am sure that will prevent your mind from thinking about playing gambling, and you will have busy every day doing something.

We can play online gambling, and that is what we can do right now as the casino already close because of this pandemic. But you should when the time you can play gambling, and when you should not playing gambling. I think you should calm down if you have felt hard to stay away from gambling, and perhaps, you need to talk with your family so they will help you to solve that.

I think that the activities you did to ward off the desire for gambling are the most appropriate and I appreciate that you have shared your experience. Keeping your mind busy and doing something productive fills you with well-being and satisfaction.

With the lockdown I am busier than usual. I must do all the shopping to cover the basic needs of my home.
I'm helping my eleven-year-old nephew with schoolwork and I'm taking the opportunity to teach him how some crypto wallets work. I am seriously thinking of teaching him about crypto the basics.
I am already telling him that when he reaches the age of majority if he want he can dive into the crypto space.

So my desires for gambling have diminished because I have put in the balance what is priority is hard because it produces anxiety but the busy mind makes you forget a little.

@Kemarit I’m glad that you didn’t have a melt down due to these emotions, as lockdown is definitely taking a toll on each and everyone’s health. While you’re doing great, yet I would like you to check these activities out as I personally feel these will help you in the long run too.

Top 3 recommend activities:

1) I would strongly recommend you to practise yoga as it has lots of health benefits, and further it’ll help you remain calm during stressful times like these.

2) Also you can try preparing some recipes and experimenting with them in the kitchen, however don’t blow up the kitchen in the process :p.

3) Lastly if you were ever keen to learn a different language, or a new skill then this is the perfect time to do it.

Yes I do (speaking for myself), I'm a lover of social interaction and hardly can stay for a long period without interacting with individuals having same interests like I do. Somedays I just pick up my phone to call my friends asking if they can come over so we gamble, they leave just few blocks across the street. I have been declined on many occasions which angers me the more but I do understand their reason. Gambling online is still sometimr that I'm getting used to and in due time, I'll enjoy it like I do with physical casinos.

Right now, the only thing I do was to focus on my work, I was given a chance to work at home that's why I somehow manage to at least overcome the same feeling as you. But of course, since I am now working at home, there's still a lot of free time after my work, that's why I focus myself on playing online games and watch Netflix movies sometimes.

actually this one really helps a lot because at least now i had time to continue watching those shows that i missed the seasons when i am busy at work,i can focus or give longer time to finish them all before the work resumes next month.

and also this not while watching movies,playing online games and some house works we are doing it together as family and really made me complete.

I know that feeling because I actually have the same urge sometimes every time I get bored. Well, even if I can go outside I know that it is not safe and there will be no operating casinos anywhere.

It is true, the ambiance is different and the experience of meeting new people to play with. It is really different to play in a real casino than playing online casino.

Perhaps, you have the option to try online gambling if you can't really resist not gambling for 2 weeks. Or else, do what you have mentioned but not everyone has this option especially if they are really restricted to go outside and exercise, the only option is to stay at home. In this case, I responded with more productivity such as instead of going outside, I watch online courses on how to develop apps, basically programming courses, play games using my computer, and watch Netflix movies and series. In my spare time, I spend it through forums where I could learn various lessons and updates.

Actually, you can do various things to make yourself busy and to avoid boredom. When you are bored you will tend to think of gambling, but making yourself busy will help you to forget about those thoughts. You can do anything you like to do except for gambling of course. It depends on what we want to do.

Personally, I prefer online gambling but I haven't think of gambling now since I need to use my money wisely during this quarantine. So what I usually do is just spend like 3/4 of my time here in the forum, binge-watching, playing online games, eat, and sleep. Although it's kinda boring to do the same thing repeatedly, I need to think practically.

Well, even without diversion I believe there wasn't much you could do besides crying out loud that casinos are closed. :D Never had a strong physical addiction to casinos, but I get the idea. I think it's better in the end and you should seek the positive side: if we were to have casinos still up and running right now, you'd be sitting there throwing your money away during some hard times. Maybe it was some kind of sign from the Universe for you to stop :P

i think all gamblers here have the same urge as you but the only difference is that some have urge to play on online casinos which is more hard because online casinos are not restricted and you can easily access them anywhere by using your phone or pc  . those are good tips you share and we can follow those to help combat our urge to play   . in my case i play video games to divert my mind but after i got tired of playing a game , sometimes i can still find myself inside the online casino gambling again  .

There are only many tips that other gamblers have shared here, maybe the OP wants to try to Yoga?

I know its sounds absurd really, but that's how I cope in this pandemic. I'm also addicted to playing in a traditional base casino as the ambience are very different and the same faces you met their. But since lockdown it is already close here.

So ever my mind think of gambling, I do watch Yoga videos in youtube to calm my mind. We don't know how long the lockdown, there are rumors here that it will be extend up to the end of the month. You have to keep not just your body, but your mind with positive things. Learn as well to appreciate everything around you.

Is there still an open gambling casino until now? I really thought that all casino gambling is temporarily closed now because of this pandemic virus. They closed it to avoid the risk of spreading the virus because if they don't, there would be still gambler who will visit the casino and play, the social distancing would not be seen in the casino gambling especially if there would be a lot of b people who will enter the casino.

Great post mate, there are many things we can do to fight our boredom, we can do more productive things at our home and kill the time at our home. Netflix is one of the best things we can have as of this quarantine or we may also spend our time on our family.

I feel you brother, it is not that easy to overcome this boredom as we are feeling that everyday is just like a same day. We have different hobbies and activities that we like but when we are doing it over and over again, we are getting unsatisfied about it. Sometimes I do something that makes me happy and alive so that I lessen my boredom and make myself do something in order to become productive every single day.

- I play instruments such as electric guitar and bass just to enjoy music that I like
- I play video games because some games have a good story just like the Uncharted series in Ps4

Those activities are just my simple way of relieving my stress, anxiety and boredom as we have no idea when this lockdown will end. Hoping that everything will go back to normal so that there are no people who will die and suffer from this pandemic thing. Just always keep safe and keep yourself away from the virus, plus, practice proper hygiene.

Your 14 year old kid is your greatest motivation for fighting the urge to gamble in my opinion, anyway keep it up. I want to share experiences too, I also gamble with poker but everytime the urge comes in, I just search a poker match and stream it, I know that it will not do much so I downloaded a poker game out of app store so I can keep myself in control. The urge to gamble when you haven't been playing for a long time is getting stronger everytime, good thing that I have bookmark of mangas to read and animes to watch, it can help me feel occupy at down time. The best about fighting the urge to gamble is that I saved a lot of money, I do not have much to say about but this discipline training is paying off.

Most of the time I just go watch some movies and documentaries that will benefit me in my everyday work. If I get bored watching, I go outside the house not far from home to relax my mind and to get some sunlight. I also do some daily routine now when there are some things to do. this pandemic really changes our lives in a positive way if we just reflect on it. the best time to enjoy this event is to have some unforgettable moments with our families.

I agree that physical casino is far more interesting than gambling online, I also feel like I want to immediately play at physical casino.
We have to keep ourselves busy, so our minds don't think about physical casino. There are many ways in my opinion, and everyone
have their own way. And I do a number of activities such as playing chess with my child, watching progress news covid-19 and of course
watching netflix. There are actually a number of other activities, but I won't mention them all. Hopefully this corona virus quickly over.

Yes, there are still casinos that continuously operating which I thought they never did before. Until the Ph government granted a permission to put one of the largest chinese based gambling in the country to continue it's operation amidst the continued rise of pandemic.
I guess, It's up to the person whether he's willing to risks his health security just to satisfy his urge in gambling.

Same scenario happen to me but not exactly about gambling. I just feel like hopeless for doing nothing at home and suddenly I had this feeling of wanting to drink.

Well liquor ban is implemented since day one of lockdown here so there were times that I feel thirsty but water cant satisfy me. But because its not allowed and no one is selling alcohol as well I have to divert my mind into other things.

In gambling I have no problem because I used to gamble online rather than in land base casino.

Will he go back to his old gambling habit or will it change?

Lockdown had provided experiences with your family that you never felt when you were busy before the pandemic. Previously you did not know the family prepared everything just welcomed you home from work and only you know everything at home was fine when you were outside.

Almost the same as your locking activity, isolating yourself by looking at inspirational content can motivate you to stop gambling addiction and maybe the devil's call won't make you gamble again.

Better to have that urge for things that benefit you positively. If you go to casinos always to waste your time and money then it's definitely not worth it. Maybe something else other than the profitability/productivity was drawing you back to the casino. If you spend lots of time on something without gaining something positive from it, you need to find something else to do.

I feed this urge daily only little by little.I don’t feel an urge to gamble as I am more of an online gambler but since I play daily I feel less the urge of someone who wants to play and cannot do so for quite some days.

As an IT professional I like reading IT books and studying for Pearson Vue exams through different video courses as a way to distract myself from gambling.

How do I fight it? I just convince myself that no land casino is open at the moment, and if there's some casino that is remained open, why would I risk my life for just a small entertainment that it could eventually ended me to be one of the virus carrier.

Right now, I just focused on different kinds of things that I can do inside my house.
I just make sure that I always do something because every time that I have nothing to do, that is only when I have the feeling of wanting to go to a casino.

Movie marathon, morning exercise, taking care of my plants then family time.

You will be shocked at how much time you had already spent by doing all of that everyday.
If you still feel the boring environment and still thinking to gamble then twist it a little bit.

Cooking, general cleaning of the house, group chat with friends.
Just cooking food and preparation takes already like an hour or two of our time. Do that 2 times a day. There is just 15 -18 hours in which you will be awake.
Stay safe and stay healthy.

What I am doing is I am watching movies, and things that I have no done prior to pandemic, we have to ensure that we are also enjoy even if we stay at home, that would be healthy for us. Everyone of us has a lot of interest, so maybe let's do that right now, we are given this opportunity to do things that we have not done before, watching movie or TV series all day sounds boring too, we also need to move to keep ourselves healthy exercise is very important but most importantly is we spend some quality time with our family.

I share your pain.. I also like to go to the Brick n Mortar casinos to blow off some steam. They have a huge "all you can eat" buffet and they also give free drinks on some days. I like to mingle with strangers and also socializing with friends and having fun while we are there, so it is part of my monthly entertainment budget. (Some people spend the money on expensive takeouts and movies, I prefer to spend the money at the casino with friends.)

So yea, I have to agree with you, it is not the same to gamble online. To help me with this, I helped my friends to setup their gambling accounts on some of these Crypto gambling sites and we gamble on our notebooks and we video chat on our phones. We have to make our own food and drinks, but it is still a lot of fun.  ;)

I do not have a gambling addiction, because I know when to stop. I have a predetermined budget and I only gamble until that is gone, then I switch to online gaming to kill some more time.  8)

We all wish the pandemic will be over so we can enjoy if we like to go to a land base casino, for now, this seems impossible as all land based casinos are close, even the biggest in the world, except for casinos in China I guess because they have lifted the lock down already and they are back to normal.

The way we can enjoy now while still in lock down is just to maybe to put our time on watching movies, netflix, and youtube videos, most of the time are just spent doing that and some little job online of course.

The ambience is indeed different when you play physical gambling and sometimes you get this itchy feeling on hands that you need to play because it has become your habit.
But with different things to do like spending time with your family and playing with them soms simple games like mobile games or watching movies. You could take away your mind away from it.

Exactly, there are things that you can do inside the house as others have suggested. Maybe the OP is fond of reading books, if he gets tired of watching movies. Most gamblers are really also struggling in this pandemic. I mean we all do love to go out from time to time and enjoy ourselves not just gambling per se. We missed a lot of things, but if we learn to prioritised things and not think about our gambling habits, then it would help us to cope if ever this kind of feeling of 'cravings' suddenly appear. Our priority is our families safety now and how to bring food in the table 24x7.

To us people who love to play gambling but the problem is the coronavirus and we cannot do anything even our desires wants us to push our selves to come into the gambling casino just to play but we all know that the most of the gambling casino land base are close because they don't want to get infected too and also one of the crowded places into the earth is the casino so there is more higher risk if you will come into those casino it is better to wait that the virus will gone also the casino must need to disinfect their places. If you want to play gambling we have now online gambling which you can play your desired games also you are in your home, sit back and relax does not have too much pressure came from the audiences but if you want to control your self and does not want to play gambling for a while

You can do this list

• Do household chores.
• Make gardening.
• Bonding with your family.
• Explore more and learn more. Do online class
• Makes some art

All these 5 are good to take away yourself in gambling in this pandemic, it's something you did not impose but circumstances force you to get away from gambling, there is still a lot to be added just to get you away from gambling, I can add reading a lot and chatting to friends that you've lost contact over the years, the challenge is finding them on social media.

Thank you to those who have replied, at least I know that I'm not the only one who have this gambling problem. My urge has died down a bit, but I still have this sort of anxiety induced gambling emotions and I'm still fighting it back. I recently found out that I still have some extra paint in my garage so probably I will take that as I challenge and do some paintings for the meantime. Again, thanks to those who gave advise, I think I can overcome this feeling in the next 48 hours.

Good luck, hopefully you will not think of something that is almost impossible to achieve at the moment, instead, continue to make some productive things so you can enjoy your time while you are still staying at home.

But the best thing i can find in OP is the way that he Got more time bonding with Family ,since it is obvious that before this Pandemic happens he missed more time with them and with this?both parties a winner as the family won His time and attention and OP for finding what he is missing.
Sometimes Bad things need to happen before we realized that better moment are passing without us paying attention.

And i admire OP for this one,as for sure after this Quarantine Life will change for betterment forever.

Quarantine might not be over soon, so we still cannot go to a casino, what every gambler has to learn is just to know how to control themselves, doing the right thing at the right situation, and this situation, the right thing to do is just to stay at home, let us take our urge away for now, when the world will recover, we will be able to gamble again and life will be back to normal but at least OP were able to learn something from the current situation.

The hardest is the first two weeks but if you are busy doing things to fight boredom like all the ones listed in your list, you can get over it and you will find out yourself that it's not really hard, but only the first two weeks is the real struggle to fight the urge to gamble in the casinos, yours is not the only case casino gamblers are also battling the same symptoms.

To be honest, I am feeling the same way but because I am working from home right now, I don't have this rough like the OP. I am busy so I am a bit preoccupied with it that I don't really think of it. I think people should do the same as the OP, to be honest it is really hard to avoid thinking about gambling if you are not so busy this ECQ.

It easier to fight gambling online during quarantine.
The biggest threat is that you have a lot of time to gamble. But you have only one gateway to gambling ope and this is online gambling. If you keep yourself away of keyboard then you can fight this passion easily.

Doing alternative activity can prevent any kind of urge, there is no need to lose control because of sudden feeling. Mastering yourself and knowing your own mind will make you a wise gambler and the lockdown period is the best time to work on your weakness.

Not in my case, I am a gambler but I know how to control things, I learned it from being a gambler for many years.

I understand that we are in a delicate situation, we can't impose our wants over our needs, so gambling is my last priority now, and maybe the suspension of sports helps me a lot not to think of gambling anymore as most of the time I just do sports betting. 

Along with the above some more suggestion which include is like: -

Learn cooking if do not know and if already known try to make new dishes.
Do calls to people from whom you had hardly spoken in the past year or more than that.
Exercise it regularly at home.
Meditation is also important in this phase of life.
Play some board games or involve family in some fun filled activities.
Try to be innovative if somebody Birthday/Anniversary comes, and some surprise could be done online.

Right, first two weeks are easy, because at the back of our minds, we thought that this will be over soon. But it's quiet the opposite, many countries extended their quarantine and pushes most gamblers to their limit, like what the OP is feeling right now. It is a real struggle for us, specially if you are used to travel and go out with friends and have some fun time in a casino's. Our world has change and reset. So we have to look at the bright side of it, (no going out, no money spend on gambling) and make the best out of the situation - making ourselves busy so that you will not think of gambling and take control.

There are a lot of ways to do inside your house, but the most important thing to do is to develop your relationship with your love ones at this time of uncertainty, doing things and playing together to build a relationship, if you are doing things with your family you can overcome the urge to gamble.

^ As a gambler, you cant simply forget or divert other things that make you busy easily, probably it will take time before you will overcome the urge in gambling. Many land-based gamblers are experiencing the same as you do for the lockdown is still implemented and for about a couple of months. You actually do the right thing occupying yourself to divert your mind and remove the urge in gambling that is the best way to stop gambling habit. However, gamblers who wish to stop their gambling habit may take advantage of this lockdown since physical casinos are all closed try diverting your mind into something different but not into online casinos. Nevertheless, all these things depended on how you control your emotion over your addiction.

I tried this but believe me it is not possible to forget the gambling or casino. The fun which you can get at the casino is not comparable to the fun at home or even in online gambling. I eagerly wait for the lockdown to finish so that we can return to casinos.

You don't have to fight it. You just need to make yourself busy in something else so that your attention will divert to other things. There is nothing you can do about land base casino as casinos out there are being closed due to lockdown so going there is a comete waste of time or you can gamble online if you want.

At this time, I'd have to set aside my gambling life...it was sometimes to take a look back, the old days which we bond together to our family, playing our kids and it is happening again.
This pandemic might have something to give us in the renewal of what we did before that we've missed for many years.
The "new norm" makes things out of our comfort but we have nothing to do than to accept it. Maybe it was the time to minimize our leisure time out from our family especially gambling but rather to give ample time with them.

Fortunately, I have never had an addiction to gambling and have no experience of overcoming it. However, I have a good friend who at one time acquired an attraction to slot machines. He managed to overcome his addiction only thanks to his family. They showed him how much they needed him and how much time and money he spent on slot machines. And when he realized this, he was able to overcome his addiction.

All of the above is a good attempt to distract yourself but, unfortunately, it only allows you to overcome your addiction for a while.

I think it is really the time to practice ourselves, it is the time to stop our addiction into gambling. Since most of the casinos are closed, people are actually busy doing other things but there are still those that push themselves to gamble. I think it is time to be busy with other things like exercise, having bonded with your family or maybe focussing on your work.

If you are a gambling player that regularly play, It will come to the point that you will ask your self to play gambling even though it's not the right time. Making yourself occupied by doing other activities is effective. Sometimes you need to fight the urge to play especially in a situation like this. There are many gamblers that urge to play chooses to play online, and it is an effective way of satisfaction to play for sometime after a long break.

Only offline casinos have closed. In addition, such casinos were not in every city. Now the popularity of online casinos has grown significantly. Many people are quarantined at home. They have nothing to do. That's why they spend their time gambling, watching movies, and so on.
Therefore, it is very difficult for people in this situation to overcome their addiction.

Here in our country, people do not know online casinos. Most of the people here are not really going to casinos nor do poker and stuff like that but they usually bet on cockfighting. Most of them are not aware of online sites and not following the policies of ECQ as they continue to gamble with their friends and other people from other barangays. They would stop for a week, a maximum of two weeks, and then they will break it again. I could say this since I can't really go with them with my work but they have it harder than me to stop gambling.

Do you have internet connection in your country? if so, then I would say that some people are gambling online using cryptocurrency.
I am in a country which is not progressive but I learn to gamble online and I love it although I don't bet a lot of money.
Online gambling or crypto gambling in my case gives me the best experience than going to a place to gamble because at the same time I can save time and I can do my job while I am gambling online.

I'm glad OP can cope up some of my friends who are into sports betting and gambling casinos are having a hard time they bound together, the lockdown is very new to all of us and each have to cope to our new environment, it was government imposed so we can all be safe, soon we can all go back to normal,but that is if the country you are in able to flatten the curve.

No I am not experiencing the same thing. But even though I felt that, since I have no other choice but to stay at home due to casinos are close and I think it will took a long more time to become fully operational again then I will just stay at home. That's really good that you are trying to fight your gambling addiction (or urge) during this lock down. The other few steps you mentioned are going to be quite helpful. But, instead of looking at those youtube videos that helps you to quit gambling, try talking to someone you trust a lot, someone who would never judge you for who you are.
Trust, talking and getting help from someone close is much better than watching those random "inspirational" youtube videos.

There was a time in which I could understand that feeling and the best way to combat it is to find other activities that you like even more, however I find out that it is better if those activities are engaging, what do I mean by that? Let me give you an example, watching TV is a very common hobby however it is kind of passive because you're not really doing anything, so you need to find something that you like but that also requires your input and in which you can affect the outcome directly by your actions and I have found out that board games or video games are great for this.

Well, here's what you don't know. These people don't know what the internet is like. I am living in one of the provinces of a third world country. Yeah, almost all of the people have their own mobile phones but these people I am saying don't even own a phone, how much more of a computer. What they do know though is to browse with their facebook accounts and call their loved ones. To be honest, they can't even silent their phones. I'm just patiently waiting for the findings of statistics on gambling addict when this lockdown period is over. The numbers will just be out of this world considering we'll be having fresh new addict in addition to addicts that thought they have won the battle against gambling until the lockdown made them vulnerable again.

The method I rely on to tackle the urge to gamble isn't that different from that of the OP with addiction to few other precautions measure to tackle online casinos. Even when I'm still gambling online, I didn't feel the urge when it comes to gambling. For me, before I gamble I always set my mind that whatever happens win or lose I will not feel anything. Do you guys really have a lockdow meaning that you can't go wherever you like? I understand that some places like casinos might be closed now but it's not a lockdown. If you want to play poker with friends you still can, just not in a casino. You have to meet up at home.
 
I don't have any problems with gambling or doing any other things that I normally do. The only difference is that instead of eating in a restaurant I order food or go to a restaurant and take food home. If you really want to do something you still can.

Almost everyone has access to the internet, so online playing is not the issue here. The problem is that the OP wanted to go and play in a physical casino, which in not an option right now. So it will be very difficult time for hi to adjust in this kind of situation.

It's like he is going on a total withdrawal syndrome, so it's typical that he will fell that urge to go and play in a physical casino because his body and mind are used to it. How about riding a bike or motorcycle wherever you want? I think not, there are still some things we are not allowed to do even though we want it. The satisfaction we could get from playing in a physical casino is different from online-based casinos.
