We are all here because we like playing with crypto :)
There are many advantages of gambling in crypto casinos, e.g. privacy and speed. Or something else?
But are there some disadvantages for you compared to fiat money casinos?

I don't see any disadvantage of playing in casino with crypto over the fiat money. The only thing which comes in my mind is that a person can send the coins to the wrong destination address which is only if anyone is too much careless. Other than this , using crypto has all advantages.

This is not literally a disadvantage but if the crypto casino doesn't provide fiat/fiat-pegged currency, then it might be inconvenient for some people who don't really want their wallet balance to follow cryptocurrency volatility.

I think casinos that provide cryptocurrencies and fiat/fiat pegged currencies at the same time where they can be converted to each other are the best here.

Perhaps, we don't know where the money comes from, and sometimes the capital has a connection with drugs, illegal funds, corruption or another thing. The other disadvantages are the price of crypto is too volatile, and we don't know how much the price tomorrow or the next week. With the anonymous sender, we don't know who are they behind the wallet, and they can play gambling without anyone knows. Probably, people don't look at the disadvantages of crypto gambling site because they use crypto to hide from other people, and they can use crypto as the money.

I think it is given that we have a pandemic at this moment which makes it more reliable to gamble with cryptocurrency instead of fiat money that will required you to go to a casino.

Yes, some people use crypto gambling websites to deposit bitcoins and do money laundering because there are no KYC on these sites. Well, there are evil minded people everywhere and we cannot call it a drawback of online casino.

The only disadvantages those casino's has is its monetary system itself. Crypto, as well all know, are too volatile that no one knows when would it end and fluctuates faster than the fiats. And, fiat-based casinos, are often required huge bets and physical attendances, in which in this time, are too impossible due to the hideous pandemic.

Another disadvantage of crypto-casinos is it's reliability. Some are too good to be true, and some would take every information a deceptive website can have just to scam anyone.

I never tried depositing a huge amount on any gambling sites but I think in terms of withdrawals of huge amount the gambling site will conduct a KYC verification to know the legitimacy of the costumer, but I'm not sure if this is implemented to the other gambling site since if the case they are just letting it happen then money laundering is really easy by using the casino as landing point.

Some of the disadvantages of crypto-based bettings (based on my observations) are: inadequate or lack of crypto-based physical/offline casinos,  possible lack of good/safe age restriction (and addiction prevention) tools, the use of unsafe identity verification methods, etc

Crypto casinos have more prons than cons.
Simply because you can gamble anonymously with any amounts you want with the ease of your house.
The only disadvantage is that you are losing track of the real money you gamble - on terms of fiat value - so you are going to gamble more than you can really afford.

In my opinion the biggest disadvantage of a crypto casino is it volatility. Cryptocurrencies are know to be very volatile. So if you are comparing a crypto casino with a USD casino, you will always lose in USD if the price of that particular cryptocurrency goes into red suddenly.

Well, cons for me if the crypto casino requires you to do a KYC, that's I think more like a disadvantage on their side since most crypto casino gambler do avoid that one. One more thing, if the casino turn out to be scam because most aren't that regulated unlike physical casinos.

Anonymous betting is the first advantage and there is no need to send personal documents unless the turnover is over $10k. The fiat accepted online casinos have high-level support and fast withdrawal for average accounts but some crypto gambling platforms perform batch withdrawals which happen twice during a day. I tried to find some disadvantages in online crypto casinos but I couldn’t find any.For me being able to instantly deposit and withdraw from the comfort of my sofa with my laptop in my hands is the top priority when gambling as a lazy person that I am.Privacy is also better when we play with cryptos compared to Fiat as many Fiat casinos require KYC while crypto ones only can require this after a certain amount is achieved.

Yes there is no casino will be perfect even it's casino gambling or online casino is it not perfect but we assure right now online casino is more advatanges because you can play where ever you are and anytime you like unless you can't play if your internet connection is very slow I like online casino too but I like more the online gambling.

So far i dont have any negative experience in using Cryptocurrency as tokens to play in Gambling sites in fact using it makes it easier for me to be able to have a smooth & entertaining gambling experience because you dont need restrictions like sending and receiving like in Banks and mostly you have to wait 3-5 business days for your transaction to confirm.

Everything is an advantage to me, just kidding.

well, maybe when the casino goes dark, I don't know how to take my money back because I am gambling in different countries, unlike with fiat casinos where I can gamble in casinos within my country, it's easier to go after them as they are under the regulation of the government.

For most gamblers like me, we don't see that as a big risk as we can diversify our funds in different casinos, and I make sure I will only deposit what I can afford to lose, so if the casino goes scam, then I just move on, I'll take that because I enjoy the convenient crypto casinos has given me.

For sure the scammers or those who do money laundering are smart people , they will check each site KYC requirement and make the transactions within the defined limits to avoid the KYC and all such stuffs. I can't think of a disadvantage base from my experience. Might for some gamblers it could be the delay of their withdrawals and the hassle that they've been through with by being asked for additional details for verification, the kyc.

The disadvantage that I feel on bitcoin gambling is about its transaction fees while on other hand I do not need to pay any fees when I gamble using fiat. Other disadvantage is about the unstable value of the bitcoin or crypto. In case of winning big in crypto but unluckily the price of bitcoin is dropping down significantly then we wont win as much as we should win if using fiat. It can be advantage in case the prize of bitcoin is raising to the moon just after we win on gambling so our winning value can be doubled or even more.

The only disadvantage I currently see in a few crypto casinos is the minimum withdrawals because they're fixed to a certain amount. It rarely gets changed or reduced as a result the fiat value goes up since most cryptocurrencies have been growing. This would force players to make an extra deposit just to withdraw, it's not an issue for me but still a disadvantage regardless since you have to make an extra step.

The number one pro here is the anonymity of you as a gambler. I like that kind of privacy since there will be no people that are sometimes annoying that are just watching you. But the con here is that there are some gambling sites that have KYC and I don't like that really. In my opinion the disadvantages of crypto casinos compared to fiat money casinos is that crypto has a volatile price, so it is detrimental when
the price drops. Next, it's hard to spend the profits, because not all countries legalize crypto as payment. The last one is disadvantages, crypto

Which casino are you referring into? Im sure that most of crypto casinos nowadays doesnt ask out or require to do KYC unless if they found out some shady activity into your bets

Well it depends, some casinos are requiring you to compleye KYC procedures when you are playing with huge amount, just like how the exchanges are doing so they'll know part of your background.
I think the main disadvantage of casinos is that it is very addictive especially when you already tasted the sweetness of victory, the next time you'll lose you will be more of seeking vengeance without noticing that you are being greedy, out of track and worst a gambling addict. the disadvantages for me is more of a personal perspective than a technical one. But if a casino already act from the beginning asking for that without any valid reason, it's time to leave them.

Choosing the right casino is what matters a lot, because if a casino has a good reputation, they will not try to make a bad move to ruin their reputation as they could eventually lose their customers, building a reputation is not easy, therefore those casino with good reputation now will not scam people since they are operating profitably, unless they will do an exit scam which rarely happen in the crypto space.

I'll tell you some disadvantages that I noticed when I started using betting sites:

I deposit in bitcoin, for example the bitcoin price is $9000 and I deposit on the betting site 0.01 BTC and win some bet and I stay 0.012 BTC, but the bitcoin price drops a lot to $6000. even if I have transformed 0.01 btc to 0.012 BTC I will be with little profit and sometimes I will have losses, it's an annoying thing that we have to deal with

That will only be a disadvantage if bitcoin will always drop, we know that bitcoin also pump, so if the time you gamble bitcoin price pump, how do you treat that? the fact that we are using bitcoin in gambling gambling activities, we are already aware of its volatility and actually its more on an advantage than a disadvantage since bitcoin in general is successful as we can see on its overall growth.

I used to gamble in online casinos than the physical one thus I dont have much experience in land base casino because im not the type of gambler who go there frequently.

Im contented to gamble online wherever I am as long as I have the gadget to play. Its convenient for me and an advantage because its easy to access as well. The best for me is I can remain anonymous since kyc is optional.

Choosing a reputed casino is very important if we want not to be scammed. Since many people play at trusted caisno, those casino do not think to scam people for little money and damage their business.

That is only a disadvantage if you are looking to get more USD and not BTC. If you're looking to double your USD and are afraid to have BTC's value potentially dropping, you'd have to play with fiat instead (or stablecoins).

My usual goal was to double my crypto, not my fiat value. After all, what we are holding in our wallets is Bitcoin.

You could double your fiat value from $100 to $200 with crypto gambling and then have fiat hyperinflation leading to the devaluation of your winnings. Same thing, but takes longer to notice. :)

From my experience this rarely happens if you know which casinos are reputable enough to play on. There's always a reason why they do it but most of the time they don't disclose it similar to how exchanges give you the same treatment when they suddenly freeze your account.


I don't think this is the missing part in online casinos maybe you haven't tried other casinos because there are some casinos with good communities that can be fun at times if you stay long enough and get to know the regular gamblers.

On the other hand, playing in fiat money has more disadvantages like when you are from a country that your currency will not be accepted then you need to do an exchange first before you can start gambling.            Some demands KYC
           You don't get the hands on experience that some might want .
            You gotta make your own food and serve yourself sitting alone in your room 😂

When you submit to the KYC, then don't expect that you are privately gambling, it's better to be anonymous online so you can hide your identity, that is why in my case, I always choose crypto casinos over fiat casinos. Maybe privacy that you can play alone, but for security purposes, I'd go with crypto casinos and that's the reason I support and invested in crypto as well.

Risk is what first comes into my mind.
You will deposit money in a gambling site, the danger of it closing down any day or even any minute is there.

The strategy here is just never store money in an online casino, just withdraw and deposit regularly, that will help minimize the risk, this is quite expensive since you have to pay for the fee everytime you transact but at least it will help to minimize the risk.

I have visited casinos a lot of times and I can promise you the minimum here at online casinos is nothing as compared to what we have to bet at the real-life casinos. I mean you cannot even make a sub $10 bet if you have some friends around and it would feel a shame doing so and online casinos don't have any bet limits and then yes you have to reach a minimum in a few casinos but that is still much lower than what real casinos operate with.

I cannot see any disadvantage with virtual casinos unless they have a rigged system and mind you not all games are provably fair so I cannot trust that and there are many technical aspects like there used to be a website called dicebitco.in and they were doing some skipping winning bets thing and unless you are a expert you cannot find that so those things are the only dis-advantage I think.

The provably fair technology in bitcoin casino is common but there are ways to find out whether it's fair or not as far as I know.
Many of us are still skeptic about it still and those new in crypto are more suspicious about this technology but there are threads created for it here in the forum.

To be honest there are many casinos that are well established and cannot imagine them running away but I do understand your point and it is a valid one. Maybe if you can just do a little bit of due diligence and check their license and operating legality then you can save yourself from them.

yeah and what I love the most about the online casino system is the bonus they provide and yes the casinos in real also do run loyalty programs but they aren't as entertaining and joyful as the online ones.

From my point of view the only factor that goes against the online casino is that there is a lack of live games, I mean the roulette spinning in from of your eyes has a completely different view while betting on a provably fair roulette is good but lacks the fun.

If those are really the cons, there's no cons.

You can avoid KYC by going to a different casino. There's so many of them that you'll never run out of the ones that respect your privacy.

Most poker tournaments are run online these days. It's proven that people valuse comfort and easy access more than hands on experience.

I like my own food, but if you suck at making it you can always order yourself a pizza or something  :P

They can always provide some license in their site, but my point is that they are not under the control of which country we are gambling, so how would you complain for example a gambling site that is running from US and you are in India, you maybe get justice but how long, and is it worth to wait that long for just a small amount for money, some people just let it go, just like when people get scam in ICO.

When you hit jackpot then theres no one around would cheer out for you or simply you're the only ones who would shout and smile on your own.  ;D
Getting yourself a food then thats always the norm but not totally a cons.What differs here is that you cant able to touch any machines or that
tactile feeling when you are on a actual or physical casino.
