COVID-19 has locked down the office, market, business even our life. People are passing idle time at home. Many people are now trying to engage in online job and online business. Many of them are being eager to invest in cryptocurrency like me. I was not so much interested about crypto world and would be always busy with my work. When I was lying at home day after day, I started to know about online investment. At a time I realized, cryptocurrency is the best for me to invest and now I am an investor on such platform. So, I think, Corona Virus is encouraging people to invest in cryptocurrency and thereby helping to expand the crypto world.

It seems to me that you are deeply mistaken, because those who already didn’t have enough money  are unlikely to think about investments. Although if you look at the other side of the coin, the cryptocurrency market capitalization is still increasing. Now I think there are more people who are interested in cryptocurrency but this category is not investors.

It's not encouraging people to invest because what people are mostly thinking of now is how to survive , get out of lockdown and go back to former life. Investing is about having excess that you are not ready to use now. How many people have that kind of money now ? Very very few.

we all hope Covid19 is over, and the world is recovering, indeed the impact on the cryptocurrency I think is more on the positive side, but we all need to focus on praying, many people die because of this

I think that the COVID-19 pandemic caused the global economy to seriously decline. And many governments are forced to print a lot of money to rescue companies from bankruptcy and to subsidize people who are unemployed by the disease. Thus, more and more cash in the market. And many will want to invest in new markets to seek profits. Therefore, although the COVID-19 epidemic is still complicated, the value of BTC and other altcoins has increased significantly in recent days.

More of my buddies who were working a full-time 9-5 jobs in the corporate world has also taken a look at crypto as investments as well. With the recent jump to $9.9k, the FOMO factor is so huge, that most of the people are already getting in.

That's true and we can expect the growth will much bigger than this time caused by when the pandemic will never happen and our growth point would be started from 10k and it's not 4k as the starting point for crypto.

 This is not really. In fact, people are putting more money into the stock market. The powerful pump has been pushed up by the sharks and right now, it has dumped over 12% in 2 hours. all are whale manipulation strategies, new entrants to the crypto market are quite low now because of the economic downturn. Now we only expect the disease to be under control, so investors in the US and China can pour a lot of money into the crypto market.

Average joes are not looking to invest right now they are looking more on how to secure their job and business and most of all how to keep safe in this pandemic if some guy liquidates his funds in other investment scheme or project, then Cryptocurrency is a good option to transfer his assets from other investment schemes he has because the Crypto market is one of the markets that quickly stabilize in the pandemic.

It's the most mistaken for many newcomer who interested to invest on bitcoin only about the FOMO factor. You can't only trust from journalism, close friends (who didn't understand about bitcoin), or any blogs. Most of them only speculation and not give the right analysis about the price. They only speculate if bitcoin price will skyrocket as 1st and 2nd halving, but it seems different on 3rd halving. Today is not yet halving, but we have see major dump from $9,387 to $8,570 around 15 minutes. Usually major dump only after halving.

For OP, It hard to say if this pandemic will encouraging people to invest in cryptocurrency, because many people now is thinking how they will survive during this pandemic. Majority who still invest in cryptocurrency only a whales.

One important thing related to the Covid disaster 19 is that we have more time  with our family and be able to rest. This is a positive point in my opinion.

There has been a lot of discussion about why we need to leave cash once for and all. A digitalized currency preferably based on a blockchain has been on sight for governments around the world. Though not a exact good news for anonymity and decentralization but still a development to blockchain technology.

I doubt you know a lot of things about crypto investment. You are saying it as blockchain investment which proves that you are just another bounty hunter here without any proper knowledge on crypto. There is pros and cons to blockchain, yes it is transparent but of course we cant always favor things that against the government. For the first time from 4 years ago, i was searching online job, online investment and i came to know about cryptocurrency and from then i am still with crypto trade. Now COVID-19 has changed the scenario of the people' work place and they are now locked at home. Many people are now searching job or investment staying at home, and coming toward crypto world. So COVID-19 is expanding crypto world and i agree with it.

Every of economics seems falling with increased number of unemployment and we are still not sure how soon we could contain it. US and Europe is not as agile as China when it comes to enforcing rules. That's right, I think only a few people are securing their money on digital assets, the average person needs money because they don't work temporarily to meet their daily needs, I just keep a few altcoins and sell them to face this pandemic

You are right in some points mate, this lockdown has thought us many lessons. Few are busy with work from home option and many of the business has been affected very badly, now people want to go for the second investment and I think crypto is a greatest option for that.

I feel like I am in a safe zone after having a job and suddenly something happens I can opt for this, because I don't want to risk my job and as well as I don't want to risk my life in crypto..In my opinion crypto is always a second option 8)

More of, there is no other choice.

You cannot just swipe down in your Facebook wall for the whole day you are awake.
There must be a change. Something new.
Chances of them looking into the crypto world just went higher but it doesn't mean they will be enthusiastic about it.

The lockdown makes us worry of where we can get our money.
A wrong thing might happen though if the freaking scammers will take advantage of the weakness of people.

Suddenly they will become investors without thinking  about it. Yes, they might come across crypto currency investment without thinking about it because they just want to make profits in rush.
Perhaps, we could help them to avoid being the victim of this scammers or just offer the trusted ones like bitcoin and Ethereum.
Also set it straight that is not just an investment but more of technology.

That's also what im thinking about right now. I have been seeing so many people in my country have been moving to the crypto trade to get a few bucks everyday to keep their lives.

AFAIK, the demand in my local exchange site is also increasing a lot too. This pandemic is also helping the adoption.

Not the majority of the people who want can invest in Cryptocurrency, we have a need and a situation to address first before anything else, but we can list Cryptocurrency as one of the markets worth investing but right now, we have to take care of our business, our job, and our savings, that's what I've done right now.

It is very true that due to the effect of lock down people tend to surf internet more.  But in my own view I don't think the virus outbreak has had that significant effect on the adoption of Cryptos as many are hyping it.  It was said when the price was dropping that it was the effect of the virus, but right in the midst of the same virus, the price start improving again.  It is just a matter of interest and mindset.  No matter how someone surf internet 24/7 if he or she do have interest in Cryptos, then it won't have any effect.

In any case, the consequences of the coronavirus will lead to a global crisis. And virtually any business, including the blockchain industry, will suffer from this.  But you need to look at this situation from a different angle, since economic problems in countries will lead to very high inflation and it seems to me that this moment can become a very strong causative agent for the wider dissemination and use of cryptocurrencies around the world in everyday life.  I am sure that even the central banks of the states, not to mention big business, will transfer all funds to those assets that are more protected from inflation, and cryptocurrency is exactly the product that is best suited for this.

Just like the old day. You know back then, cryptocurrency is only known among people in MMO (Make Money Online) as a convenience payment. When BTC hit each new height back then, it creates a sensation that attracts even more people into cryptocurrency, people outside of the MMO circle. Today, I think cryptocurrency already well-know and nothing like the old day when you mention about it, people would give you a strange look. For the COVID-19 case, it like a desperate attempt to make a meet end because the global disrupt, people out of their jobs,... Feel sad more than happy in this case though.

What happened during the early stage of the coronavirus was very bad for the stock market and cryptocurrency but later on the cryptocurrency regain it resistance and the stock market was heavily struck, the oil was destabilize which has lead the entire world into economic bruhaha.
 
The world has noticed the very importance of the cryptocurrency to the World economy. The oil has disappoint them and the only means they should be looking at is the digital currency. Digital currency will take the future of the world economy, even though many of the coins will be government surveillance coins.

I think you are deeply confused, because it discourages people to invest because what people are thinking about now is how to survive. We all hope Covid19 will end and the world is recovering, really affecting the cryptocurrency which I think is more positive.

I am totally disagree with your point you should understand that In this current situation mostly people would like to have cash in their pockets for their needs of foods which is necessary so I don't think at this sensitive time people would prefer to invest in crypto or any other investment option.

Absolutely, I think it has really expose the safer way of making transactions with the use of cryptocurencies as well as an investment plan. I have met new people who come into our local crypto group asking of advice about investments into cryptocurrencies and others. Though we do share some information we still tell them blatantly that they should do their own research to be absolutely sure!

Covid-19 has limited our space, so that makes us is unable to carry out activities as usual. Yes, that is true. This epidemic has some positive effects on the crypto world too. Peoples are thinking more about adopting digital currency because those viruses can also be spread through paper cash which is problematic for now. This pandemic has created a new normal activity. Everyone is accustomed to being at home, working at home, studying at home and now some people throughout the world are experiencing economic difficulties. Being a bounty hunter, I do see most of the time that they're more for the complain and excuses rather than saying about the profit. The problem is not on their part but for the project that they have chosen.
Most projects are not that generous anymore because the capital that they have isn't from their own pocket but from the investors. And most of the promises they say, remains to be a promise.

I think the early attack of coronavirus caused a catastrophe in this crypto world. As a result, the price of Bitcoin & other top cryptocurrencies prices was dropped significantly. If this situation continued to take place, there would have been more disasters. But fortunately we were able to overcome this catastrophe.

You can interpret in a way that suits you better, but I would say that this pandemic has done more harm than good for the cryptocurrency market. I am yet to see any increase in adoption or acceptability for the cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, it looks like a lot of the users are converting their coin holdings to fiat, in order to survive the difficult circumstances.

I don't believe the pandemic COVID-19 played any vital role. in fact, I think it affected bitcoin deeply as well as it affected the traditional market. the fact that bitcoin is gaining value right now is just because of the fact that it has an upcoming halving event else we might have seen it at 2-1k

The way I see it, you're wrong about this. You only got interested in investing your money in cryptocurrency because you have enough money I guess. But that's not the case for most people right now. There are lots of people who don't even have enough food not to talk of having extra money to put off as an investment. And in most countries there are those who have lost their jobs.

Most of my friends that came to me recently to teach them about cryptocurrency are not talking about investment, they are talking about making money right now with Bitcoin, and I told them it doesn't work like that. But I did recommend that there are other things they can do, like the bounty campaign, but that will also take time for them to build their account from newbie to at least junior level.

jobs due this closing and now they are without any income. It's a struggle for surviving! You can teach them how to
start with crypto-currencies, bounties, faucets, PTC sites, writing articles on Publish0x or other platforms for that, now
there are many of them. Creating any social network account and building their followers base! Every start is hard,
but they need to start from there and learn about crypto-currencies, only way to skip all that is to invest a lot of money,
but as you stated many don't have starting investment!

   

It's true, OP seems to get interested because he has the capability to start investing in crypto. Which is actually different for most people, most of them are having difficulty to provide their needs like food, vitamins, and face mask.

Aside from that, crypto is yet to be legal in most countries yet, even if some people try to invest in crypto, they won't be able to use it because no one accepts it yet as their payment method.

Apparently, covid 19 has  advertised crypto currency more. I see so many people getting involved with crypto currency now. People see this opportunity to use crypto to do transactions. Hitherto, if one still don't have money you can't invest in crypto.

That's correct, you are right about more people thinking of how to make ends meet thus seeing the crypto space as the best possible way to secure and take care of themselves. Also, I agree with you, because what matters to most people now is how to stay alive and crypto is there for them since this lockdown affected businesses and so on, hence one of the reasons there have been significant growth recently in the crypto space. In addition, this virus is not only making people invest in crypto, it is also making them to learn more skills that will benefit them offline.

In fact, this is not a dangerous disease, it is only dangerous for the economy. there are many cases but many people have recovered, the virus is contagious and it aims to weaken the economy. so if everyone keeps money then the economy will only die faster. To successfully restart the economy, we need to invest safely. The money cycle needs to flow more to create more finished products for the economy. This is a good time to invest long-term in a particular stock or coin you like.

well ofcourse there'd be some people who recovered, even most of pandemic before has quite the amount of people recovered although not as much as it is right now but it's still dangerous disease although it finally shows to people across the world that we actually are capable of doing things online instead of wasting time commuting far away just for thing as simple as meeting, hopefully people will switch to digital currency.

I think investing for cryptocurrency is not the best time for people who haven't sufficient money to invest right now and not all people can't afford take the risk in the time of crisis. They still need a sustain profit in order to buy and pay their bills. Some people manage to invest since they have saving and consistent earnings even they stay at home. It's not easily to invest to cryptocurrency and just like any other investment, you need to learn a lot and know that you might lose if you can't take it seriously.

Not all but possibly many have try out and learn what is cryptocurrency. Staying at home, we can expect people to only surf the internet and most likely finding jobs online. I just found that covid-19 made many people unemployed and miserable. And a lot of people have died of this virus. Hopefully Virus can be extinguished as soon as possible, I do not want them to grow and harm everyone. Also I do not see any positives from viruses for this market. That is true, we are hoping that this pandemic as soon as it's over and we can run our activity normaly. The people who just stay home will have a free time to do something useful especially through internet. Like me, I suggest some of my friend to understand bitcoin and I said them that bitcoin can be made as side income during the lockdown. This market is very small compared to the stock market. Over the past few months I've seen the stock market collapse, but crypto has grown and went against the global situation. It is a positive news that people are believing in this market and many people are aware of it

Corana Virus is a global pandemic that's ravaging the entire world,really many businesses are not functioning very well however we cannot continue to be idle without doing anything. Covid-19 just make revolution of industry become faster than what we can predict. This pandemic force people around the world to think they must have multi source income. Crypto industry is one of the way to make money to cover the expenses. But, it can be danger for innocent people who don't know about this specifically.

Interesting observation. I think during this Covid lockdown, people are automatically drawn to more digital content. Be it online education courses, games or cryptos. I have seen many people trying blockchain gaming in hopes of earning something while sitting idle at home. yes the presence of the corona virus is good for the adoption of crypto, people are starting to look for jobs online and are interested in taking part in this industry. During the quarantine period at home, people are looking for work online, and we can also see that the bounty hunter is currently increasing, there are many newcomers to the industry.

The best way to stay safe from accusations from friends is not to give them investment advise rather recommend cryptocurrency to them. Recommendations is the way to go during this lockdown, this has been my.approach to friends and colleagues who wanted to be financially free from what the older system gave to them before the crisis of coronavirus. Those who I have actually approached have long join the cryptocurrency and made their investment four months ago, most of them have started their journey into this industry because of the lockdown lesson taught by the covid-19.

I guess if the fiat and debt systems are not backed by the government and the bankers it could be dead instantly. The fact that these parties have already used so many resources to create big incentives to the various sectors especially to defend its fiat and debt system

I do think the same way for people who wants to earn some even during this pandemic. I want to start investing with the little money I have here. I can see the potential to get good return of investments through trading even before this pandemic. I wanted to try it even before but I couldn't get the chance to do so, and when this pandemic happened, it urges me to start trading and investing. I just hope that I will not regret doing it in days to come.

Covid19 is an eye opening to other unaware people, they realize that  they can use crypto currency as cashless payment to transact with banks, paying bills, food delivery and also to buy them goods for themselves. Many big and 3rd party websites now are adapting crypto currency to support their members nationwide.

That is what investment means,opportunity but the risk is always there.

I think Pandemic is just being used to full down the market of crypto currency because the truth is?market should be growing now because this currencies are being used in exchange for fiat as physical connection is being preventing now.

Why don't you get the chance to do it? Is not investing and trading through crypto very open and it will not even be a barrier when there is a pandemic, because many investors and traders before and after this pandemic do trading and investing in crypto, because this only takes time to move it not just to the intention only.

Mental and risk must also be prepared in crypto trading and investment and therefore we can do it easily and can even understand in the analysis of the token movements that we hold, money capital must be able to adjust and not greedy what has been faced.

Yes, the choice to keep working is good to choose trading in cryptocurrency, because trading in crypto does not have to meet with many people like conventional trading in the market, only the risk is still there because trading in crypto has no effect with covid-19 issues.

Covid19- helped me to have more time in my family because my current job is switching to Online, leaving me with a lot of free time. Besides, I also read some more news about this market, and it will certainly help me reduce a lot of risk in investment. However, if there is no vaccine for this disease, everyone should stay indoors because this is the safest way to protect you from Corona.

If this pandemic will still continue in the coming months or years, this will eventually open the world of crypto to millions of people who have lost their jobs or those people who are looking for investments that will create huge returns after a year or two. More than 100 posts in this thread, and I would label more than 90% of them as useless. Users are posting that cryptocurrency would suddenly overtake the United States Dollar, and refuse to provide any logic or reasoning for their theory. If the cryptocurrencies would have received any boost as a result of the pandemic, then we would have already witnessed it. 

There is nothing logic in this thread, majority of the users does not even know the basic on what are the hurdles we face and they keep on commenting on a hostile take over which is not even possible with the scaling solutions we are having right now. Everyone is looking for a big rally and helping expand the cryptocurrency world for many means the price is rallying higher :D.

Once we have a solid scaling solution then we can think about a massive take over and adoption.

But don't forget that out there, many people desperate to search for the info or jobs because they lost their job in this pandemic. We are so lucky to know cryptocurrency because we can have a way to search the way to make money from crypto, and we should grateful for this. Before the vaccine can be discovered, we need to be careful, and better to stay at home if we don't have a reason to go out.

True! The coronavirus is just as unpredictable as our market right now lol! It's too dangerous and I don't understand why a lot of people still take it not seriously. Anyway, it's true to say that we are so grateful that we know about cryptocurrency even before the pandemic. In those situation that people can't earn money from traditional businesses, the important of making money online is certain. In these circumstances, people can have a better understanding about the cryptocurrency world!

We hope that people out there who still search for offline jobs will realize that they now have another choice to search for that job. They can try to search for the job online, and they can use their mobile phone to browse on the internet, or they can use their computer to find the job that they want. It is about how they want to try a new thing that can help them to survive in this pandemic. If they succeed and invite friends who have the same experience as them before, that can also help their friends. They can try with the other type of jobs available on the internet, and not just work from crypto because the internet can give them a way to make money.

I hope something like this never happens again. I do not care if it helps bitcoin to be 50k and I do not care if the price of all coins rise 10x and reach a new all time high etc etc, I do not want something like this to ever happen again. It was a very bad period for the whole humanity, there were tens of thousands of people dead, there was millions infected, there was billions affected and the whole world just stopped.

It is really the worse period of humanity I have seen in my life time, sure the previous generations saw world wars and famine and so forth but ever since I was born this was the biggest scare humanity as a whole ever got, nation to nation there was bad days but never a global pandemic that kept the whole earth at home. The benefits to crypto world is nothing compared to destruction it had in the world.

One of the positive impacts of COVID-19 on us and particular to cryptocurrency is making leads to people to know more about crypto and making them also realize the benefits we are able to get from this. The growing number of crypto users by now it simply means that they are looking for a way to survive from the virus and given them a choice to use digital currency (Bitcoin) over FIAT money.
This pandemic is a life-changing and yet to find people are now changing their lifestyle. Then the opportunity has come for crypto to connect with us and people find it comfortable and safe from the killing virus.

That's true though. these times where most people have not been allowed to go to work have opened their eyes to near opportunities of making money for themselves. New investors i read are really going in for masternrode investments because of the passive income they provide

Masternode investment are not a safe investment. Simply because it still depends on the position of the mined coin.
Opportunities in crypto are not limited to just one or two fields, and those you called "new investors" may focus on masternodes only because they don't have enough knowledge yet to try other kinds of investment.

in my opinion all investments are not safe, there will definitely be risks whether it's losing money or fraud, but at least by checking the projects to be invested in reducing the level of risk, I myself do not dare to invest in masternode, more to trade

Indeed any kind of investment has risk and cant guarantee a sure profit, and crypto is not different. Due to lockdown many people started to search for online opportunity as an alternative to earn, this might be the reason why even lockdown the market recover easily compared to other market like stock. Whatever investment you choose make sure to understand it to be aware of what to expect.

I guess so. Whilst people are in quarantine most of them will find ways to earn online and they will stumble on crypto. But still, Most people who are quarantined and looking for a source of income are just average joes like us. Which is good because there are a lot of people out there willing to invest their money for something they know they will profit. Even the people who just took a look at crypto can expand it.
