Title: Freebitco.in - Problem with deposit
Post by: 10gc on May 12, 2020, 02:55:56 PM
Dear Freebitco.in Support,

I am writing because today I had a problem with a deposit. Basically I deposited the money to the BTC wallet that you (i.e. Freebitco.in) used for a previous BTC withdrawal from your website. Therefore I would like to kindly ask you to credit the deposit to my Freebitco.in account.

I have already contacted the website using the form on the website but I have not received any answer yet.

To facilitate the process I can provide you with all relevant proofs, wallet number, transaction hash, my user id etc. Please approach me in private to share this information.

@Moderators: sorry in advance if I am posting in the wrong section of the forum, please correct if this section is not appropriate.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Best regards

Try to post your concern/thread on their official thread so they can help you out.

Official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.0
Freebitco.in Support: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143168

Other than that, you just need to wait patiently.

Have you checked if the transaction has already been confirmed on the block? If it does then no need to worry and if you have put there the correct address that's reassuring. Just follow the links asu provided they are active there as well about users concern.

Well, perhaps at this time you will always read first the FAQ in every gambling site you used because it was mentioned there you need to wait a couple of hours before the transaction to be confirmed. They provide also there a contact form and send emails to them, --again you need to wait patiently because they receive hundreds of emails every day and do not have the resources to reply to all queries had.
Indeed, the other suggestion above is quite good and this thread is not necessary, you perhaps lock this thread.

Actually you do not need to create a thread related to your problem, because ANN Freebitcoin already exists so you do not need to make this kind of thread and it would be nice if you directly ask your problem here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.0

Freebitcoin is a trusted site since 2013 so I think your deposit might still be on the way and maybe the BTC shipping fee that you deposited on the Freebitcoin site is too small so your deposit is a little late.

Or your deposit likely won't be appear because they have  changed the deposit address on your account. Always always and always check your deposit address first before you move your funds to any site. Don't always sure if your deposit address is always same forever.

This thread is not appropriate for this forum.

Btw, it takes time to process the transaction in the blockchain, especially in the case of BTC.

You guys probably misread what he wrote. He says that he sent a deposit to a previous BTC address that was used as a withdraw address. Not the proper way to do a deposit and this might lead to loss of funds.

Normally when you make a deposit to a gambling site or exchange . They give you a dedicated deposit address. You send funds there. When there is a deposit detected the casino credits your account. Depending on how they handle cold storage it might sit at the deposit address until someone else makes a withdraw.

So problem is, he made a withdraw, and later sent BTC to that withdraw address. That withdraw address might of been a deposit address for somebody else.  That person will login into their account, see some free money and just assume it was some gift and use it.

Either way, he should contact the support and they might be able to send it back to the source address if it wasn't already spent.

You're right this is not a suitable thread But usually there are not many problems with Freebitco.in deposits but if there is a problem then your address is wrong or they have threaded them. So check your address carefully to keep the deposit safe. And take a good look at the links Many times if there is a problem with their server this type of deposit is a problem.

I agree, the only way to get a solution here is to contact the support. The support email address was support@freebitco.in when I had a problem long time ago, but I don't know if it is still active and being processed. Otherwise I am sure @TheQuin can help you, too, if you write a PM to him.

In general:
I hope that a withdrawal address of player A will not be used as deposit address of player B ... Freebitco.in has control over the addresses, so it should be possible to track the transactions and refund the coins if necessary.

Exactly, that's the point. I asked for support and also sent a PM to TheQuin. I hope the wallet to where I sent my BTC belongs to Freebitco.in. I think it belongs to them because (i) they sent me money through it and (2) the balance yesterday was around 120BTC

Anyway, thanks everybody for your quick support :)
