Thanks OP , really interesting info graphic.
One thing that I’ve noticed is that the “unknown” miners made a come back in 2019 and 2020 .
Would anyone know why that would be ?

This is a clickbait! I was thinking we should see a nice list of the Hardware Miners, maybe the old ButterflyLabs was the last on the list, but you were talking about the mining pools ;D Maybe you can change the title to that 'Top 10 Mining Pools'.
And the information displayed is good, it is fun to see how the network gets close to a centralized system with time, in the long run, if 3 pools make team they will have a huge weigh for the bitcoin desitions.

I used to be in Guild and sometimes Slush mostly when they got stuck on a block and I wanted to try my luck :p Guild had to close their doors at one point if I remember right, the owner was awesome and it was too popular. I should never have stopped even when appearing not profitable. The rise of the unknown is discussed in this article I just saw, apparently there is a new pool starting just as some operations decline with this lower reward vs price the same as Feb; its less profitable I guess. I have been thinking low oil price should mean less energy costs for miners but I dont know it is relevant or on their scale especially, maybe for cooling. https://crypto-markets.news/news/mining-lubian/479
