In my possesion I have a wallet.dat that I have tried to brute-force with hascat, jonh the ripper and btcrecover for more than 10 months the final result is null, I would like to know if you have information to share or additional help. The wallet belongs to me;) I created in 2010 and i had the wallet.dat in one of my servers. I invest 800Dollars at the time and just forget them there. Basically, your only option is to try and bruteforce it... or engage the services of someone else to bruteforce. There is no "magic bullet" that will allow you to access your funds. If you haven't been able to bruteforce the password in the last 10 months, then there is a good chance that the Hashcat mask(s) you've been using is/are no good. Can you please share here what hashcat settings you have tried? E-Mail me the wallet is from 2010 Something doesn't add up, it should be from (late) 2011 at the earliest, as that when Bitcoin (0.4.0) was release with the wallet encryption feature. These password protected wallets are for sale online (I believe there are people on here buying, selling and trading them) and I don't believe anyone coming out now in 2020 saying that they have been trying to brute force a 10 year old wallet for only the last 9 months is telling the truth. The wallet was worth twice as much ~ 30 months ago but OP waited until recently to brute force the wallet he says he owns. GTFO.

The wallets are sold on this forum, and you are right, the wallet mentioned by op is stolen/purchased or forged. |
