Post by: SUMBI99 on May 15, 2020, 11:57:40 PM
We are in love with Bitcoin and Bitcointalk community this leads me to  suggest to  theymos or any other moderator to establish App owned by Bitcointalk  (BitcointalkApp ) As we all Know the Benefits of using mobile App than Website, it is boring when you want to access Bitcoinlktalk we all Need to go for the website and for the matter of security I believe there are trusted people In the community whose Theymos or and other moderator know them if it is a case of stay anonymous to the outside world.

Some of the Benefits of using Mobile App

Mobile Apps are Faster Than Websites
Personalized content
Instant Online and Offline access
Using device features
Push Notifications
Instant updates

I don't know where you copied those "benefits" from, but most of them are flat-out wrong, particularly for a discussion site like Bitcointalk.

Mobile Apps are Faster Than Websites - LOL
Personalized content - it's already personalized on the website
Instant Online and Offline access - meaningless
Using device features - what features do we need?
Push Notifications - meh, maybe
Instant updates - what's not "instant" about website updates?

Having said that, Bitcointalk could use a mobile-friendly layout.

This. No need to switch between an app and a browser.

Besides, I don't know if it's just me, but I find it easier to post on a PC/ laptop/ tablet rather than a phone because my mind tends to be pre-occupied with other things and posting lengthy replies tend to takes up lots of brain juices.

It is a pretty big forum so if they plan on convert it to an app it will take some time. In the meantime iit would be great if this forum can be optimised  to view on mobile devices. I have been using it on my mobile and tablet for some time now the only issue is that you have to zoom in and zoom out a lot of time.

I don’t know about anybody else but I’m perfectly happy with the way it is at the moment. I access the website on my phone all the time & I don’t have a problem, I can find everything easily.
I’d probably hate a tacky, modern style app & I’d probably hate a new modern website too, I’m perfectly fine with the current set up but I’m just one person.

During my first year here, zooming in and out is a little bit hassle but as I grew here I am used to it already. But I realized that we no longer need for an app version because I'm pretty sure that adjustments will be a pain in our a*ses ;D. A problem that I think of so far is about the interface. Example is how signatures will fit properly on the width of our smartphones.

I do not also see a problem accessing the forum through mobile, I do not think that the moderators or the administrators will plan to create a mobile app because of the security and also the features that requires changes.

I get used to it after all so accessing using mobile is not a major problem. I now imagining if there will be a mobile application of the forum and for me it is not good. Accessing through web is still the best way to read and posts different topics.

Maintaining mobile app will require separate group of devs, plus taking care of security. Meh, I am fine with using site on mobile.
