Besides maps of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide, I don't think such app/website exists. If we ever had one, I don't think much people will be willing to plot their location on the map as it would be a nightmare in terms of privacy and personal security.

I think that wouldn't be great although may sites already track your location. I don't want to promote any business here but quick search will bring you different results and some of those websites have an option to meet at agreed location.

You could have the app turned off and would only turn it on when you were in a crowd surrounded by lots of people...

We theoretically could, but it's safe to assume that such an app would gain little to no traction simply due to the fact that you'd need to be out and about for your offers to appear on the map. People will simply prefer doing scheduling meetup trades rather than doing them on the spot. Also taking note that meetup trades are a smaller minority.

Hello why are you asking about possible app that can track people dealing crypto? Most of them will be turn off this kind of idea due to privacy reason.

Try this site https://coinatmradar.com (https://coinatmradar.com) it is an atm location but it has many features of buy and sell as long as you enabled the gps. Not only atm but also tellers nearby you can be tracked. They also have an app for Apple and Android. If not helpful just disregard, thank you.

There is only one website I know,

Coinmap.org

It shows the bitcoin ATMs and details of merchats accepting bitcoin. But I don't think anything is available to locate traders yet. The tradon is simple, majority of traders are not willing to share their location to a third party.

What's the point of such Bitcoin map platform,if you are going to trade BTC online anyway?
Offline Bitcoin trading is extremely risky and you might get scammed or directly robbed.
If you want to get local buyers/sellers,why don't you just post an ad on Craigslist or the most popular classified ads website in your country.I remember that some guy from the US was posting Craigslist ads saying that he is selling Bitcoins, but that was 5 years ago.I don't know if Craigslist still allows such advertisements.

I saw such an idea to be true couple of months ago and their site was live. I cannot remember the domain name although and it has no popularity because it was very fresh at that time.

You are definitely right!

No one in the right mind that would make theirselves visible publicly that someone do have some bitcoin into their stashes and willing to trade it up incase.
It is totally contrarily or opposing that anonymous thing on where bitcoin is being famous on.As you said we can see legends/icons about bitcoin atms
and other services that do accept bitcoin nor for you able to buy but talking of p2p? i dont see any.

That is actually a pretty scary app concept, on the other hand you can ease the trading but on the other side the problem is much bigger because it can be used by thiefs and robber to steal bitcoin directly from other people. I think the risk is bigger than the reward, our society has already been integrating authority to further invade our privacy and this is another of those bridges that will make all people live in an Orwellian society. We shouldn't treat trading bitcoin through personal means like looking a parking space to create an app.

Isn't that dangerous?

People who also uses that kind of app, if there will be an existing in the future, might track you and get to you quickly knowing that you know and own bitcoins. We don't know what's in the mind of the people that surrounds us and people that who don't own bitcoin but have bad plans can use that app and trading isn't their intention.

But the idea that you brought is good honestly.

Why would someone need this in the first place? Are you a hardware wallet pickpocket?

Many people would forget to turn on / off the apps. Besides, if you turn off the app, you wouldn't be able to see trade offer.
Most people will forget to turn off or turn on nearby features and notifications if the application does exist.
In addition, applications that can track bitcoin users or who have bitcoin assets will be very dangerous. There will be no more privacy because the nearby feature will find you as a bitcoin holder, even the worst can endanger the owner of a bitcoin asset from extortion and theft attempts directly to individuals who own the bitcoin asset.

There are some people who are skeptical of this type of application. Feel unsafe anymore and privacy is a little disturbed.

Being in the crowd is unlikely to be something we'll see in a long time. I guess the point of the map is that you don't have to go far from home to meet and trade. While it might sound useful, I don't think people are willing to meet close to where they live (as it narrows down where they might live), and another point is that if you're the one pinpointing your location, this way you attract both criminals and possibly local law enforcement into the area (if Bitcoin is in the gray area in terms of legality, this could be an issue). Not to mention privacy concerns in general... I see more concerns than advantages here, so I am not surprised this map probably doesn't exist.

It definitely is. Why in the surface it sounds like a really really cool app, being able to see how much people are buying/selling bitcoin. But, the huge but, is that it will be very easily for thieves and kidnappers to find victims for $5 wrench attacks[1][2].

Would love to see this turned into an app, seems like something that could really help the industry grow.

e.g. it would show how much they want, what exchange rate they're offering and when they're available etc.

It could also have designated safe trading points, where people can meet to execute the trade securely.

Is there an app with a map of nearby people willing to trade bitcoin?.
Do you mean any kind of application that involves maps in order to find a place to trade Bitcoin? If you refer to the personal person that is trading BTC, I don't think they will use it. Sometimes, trading BTC is a secret because it relates to their safety life. Therefore, they won't need to be noticed in their location. Imagine that you can know the traders of the BTC with that much of amount, it will be dangerous for him. Probably, some people may arrange such bad things to harm the person. Probably. It means that trader will commonly prefer to anonymous, everything about it, not to be revealed.

But, if you mean everything or something that accepts BTC to trade or to use it for payment, probable you can check the following information. I found some, but they are not to refer to where the personal trader. It is more to notice the place where Bitcoin can be traded or used for some kind of payment.

1. Bitcoin Map
It is already available in the Google play store. This application gives you information about the stores that accept BTC as one of the payments around you. It also provides details of the store. But, some people said that this application is outdated, still to be upgraded in order to widen the location and possibilities.

2. Bitcoin ATM Map
Well, actually this application doesn't tell you where the trader of the Bitcoin, just show where you can exchange or trade your BTC to cash or others through the ATMs. You can find BTC ATMs easily around you using this application. The most popular application is CoinATMRadar where it is available on Google Playstore or Apple store. It is not only to notice you where to trade or exchange the BTC but also other cryptocurrencies. The other almost similar app is Bitcoin World Map

3. Coinmap
This is also almost similar to Bitcoin Map, it offers the information about the locations where some merchants accept Bitcoin to be payment. You can use it in the groceries, cafe, and more. But it doesn't tell you the trader of BTC.

"App to let criminals know where the easy targets are". Even turning it up once, while you are at home, is enough to put a mark on your back. And people generally don't exchange currencies that often, so there's no need for such an app. Existing solutions like forums, chat groups, social networks, etc. work just fine.

That's will involve risk of getting robbed because most people won't want to give an app the access to their location. Some are still scared of submitting the ID for KYC and you're looking for an app that merges traders together for physical trade.

I can't really remember but as far as I know, we have a local exchange where they would create an account and if someone wants to convert their btc into fiat, they would just check the application that would or could exchange, or trade that btc into fiat, it is like they will be selling their btc into these people that are indicated in the map. I checked coins.ph but I can't see that feature, maybe that is not that one.

Yeah, it's too risky. Although at first sounds like a good idea security of people who would use it.is a big issue. They would expose themselves to a big risk, although I'm sure some would have take it. Even chats and forums are a risk because of scamers and with such app people would expose themselves even to physical risk, not worth it.

I do think you are going for something like Snapchat.
People use Bitcoins necessarily because they don't want to actually cause a problem with their privacy.
Privacy and Security issue is hard due , they won't be comfortable doing it at the same time it is unreasonable to actually track the users .
I do think many users are involved with the cryptocurrencies because they value their privacy well so this will actually be problematic.
I have heard of many people being extorted for Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies once their friends and family members knew they had some to trade.

Plus I don't know how to say this enough :
Do Not Trade With People You Don't Know about!

We don't have a central governing body , this is a downside , you cannot hold them accountable in every country , most governments take it very lightly.

Better use a third party reputed site or use your wallet , because now a days most wallets are allowing buying and selling which would be both cost effective for you and at the same time safe.

Hope it helps
Please be careful.

I don't know if there is any such app in the right way. Although it is a very advanced idea. But on the one hand it is as beneficial as it is harmful on the other hand. It is better to keep the option of truck off. However, you may know the location of Bitcoin's ATM booths.

I don't think there's an app locating traders because such app is quite risky. I think no traders would want to be located specially if they are trading huge amount of money. Maybe you are talking about an app that locates the nearest atm or a place that accept crypto payments, I've only know Bitcoin Atm Map from app store. Why do you need a map anyway? You're in a foreign country?

Don't forget it can be also used by criminals to lure other's by setting themselves in the app that they want to trade.
Just imagine them waiting for targets to show up  :D
