We all have our own achievement with regards to bitcoin but I really inspired with the 19-year-old boy who gets rich by his young age. It is really something to be proud of being a millionaire at the age of 19.

Most of us have at least $1000 in our savings account, it sounds so normal but the young boy makes it enough to become a millionaire someday, it is enough to invest in cryptocurrency.

At the age of 12, the boy received $1000 from her mother as a gift and he used it to buy bitcoin and how he became a millionaire. He currently owns 401 bitcoins, which equals $3.4 million at a rate of $8,512 a coin.

This sounds so good, hoping that we feel the same way, most of us dream to be a millionaire or even billionaire someday, praying and wishing that it all come true someday, it takes time and experience to become one of those people. Just be patient and keep dreaming :D.

A story that we can see as a success story. But this boy could go with so much money and do it irresponsibly or in dangerous things. Luckily, BTC appeared before him.

In fact, we can discuss how right to entrust a 12-year-old child with $ 1000.

So many things to learn from this story -

- Plan your investing at early age. This ideally parents should inculcate these values to their kids as early as possible.
- If rightly invested by the time you are done with the studies you will have good money in your hand.

The story may inspire young age people to invest in bitcoin but if they end up loosing money in that process, that will be a real pain for them. I know few persons who had invested heavily in bitcoin back in late 2017 and still paying their credit card debt from their salaries. The boy in the story just got lucky!

Agree LOL. Here in the Philippines if you are teenager and have a 200$ savings or more then, you are completely above average than the others! 1000$ is a huge amount of money 

Honestly being a millionaire is just a big giant lottery. All of the millionaires are just hitting a jackpot when they do something right or they start/discover something. What we should take on something like this is don't stop trying, cause if you stop betting (trying) then, your almost noting percentage is going to be completely nothing in the lottery of life.

Op, dreaming is not associated with riches if you don't put practice to be rich. You have to be physical and leave out the just dreaming. For the little boy, he didn't even dream, he had the zeal after getting the resources and his optimism got him the wealth. As such there are other resourceful altcoins capable to make another person wealthy if you believe and hodl them.

Your story is very inspiring. The young boy must have been guided by somebody that knows about bitcoin very well. I love seeing such stories even if I'm not part of the story, but I believe they is a glory from being happy for other person's accomplishments.

Well, I tried planning a $20k investment with one friend of mine when BTC was around $1k and he said he doesn't believe in ponzi scams. Months later, BTC went up to $20k and guess what my friend was doing: he bought at $15k and sold below $12k. :D

Investments simply aren't a thing for some people. Yes, it's a risk you have to accept and BTC could've gone below $1k just as easily, but the FOMO around that time was just too huge to ignore it.

Give a million bucks to some random dude and chances are they'll lose it. That kid was either very lucky to put their money in something they probably didn't understand very well or.. he is pretty smart and knew Bitcoin must have a future.

I think... Even the boy didn't buy Bitcoin when it's still cheap, he also become a millionaire till now. I mean, his parents is a millionaire before he start buys Bitcoin. Because $1000 is very large amount when he's child, and that's only a "gift" from his mother. I can't imagine how rich is his parents.

That was a smart boy, the fact that he bought bitcoin at that time, I can say that his boy is special and he sees something that most of us didn't see that time. Maybe he was lucky as well, but now owning that huge number of bitcoin will already make him live a life financially free if he can manage his money properly.
as long as it's re invested or diversified with other kind of investment, for sure that will grow its necessary that he will be help by his parents in managing that big amount ... lucky boy, he might even help his parent to retire early if they are still working until now.

Those stories are interesting but they are very uncommon and it is very unlikely anyone here will experience something similar.
And those stories also have a negative effect: Many people will try to reach something similar buying shitcoins, which are almost all of them scams. People will lose money.

The boy probably forgot about the bitcoins for years and when he discovered it he was a millionaire.

Because people do take profits before reaching 3.4million mark. Most of people would sell almost everything on 100k profit, or 300k profit, and so on...

First of all, the story is two years old, so the guy is 18-20 years old, and I don't see why it's brought up for a discussion if it's not anything new.Secondly, I wanted to address this statement that avikz commented. I am pretty sure that even in developed countries not every child gets $1k as a gift at the age of 12 (even in the US every fifth child lives in poverty (http://www.nccp.org/topics/childpoverty.html)), and in a country like mine it's unthinkable. And I am sure that the majority doesn't have $1k as savings, but then it depends on what you mean by 'us'.

Finally, as for the whole thing and whether it's inspiring... Reading an article on Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jun/13/meet-erik-finman-the-teenage-bitcoin-millionaire) about this guy, he seems like a person that comes from a highly intelligent family, but is actually quite a pr*ck himself who likes showing off how rich he is and is glad he doesn't have to go to college now that he's a millionaire. I hope his scar from being bullied at school heals, and Erik finds a purpose in life rather than ends it in a few years out of boredom.

This is actually a very famous story in the world of cryptocurrency, just below the more famous pizza story. Anyway, this is really inspiring and is sending a good message to young people: don't squander your money especially the one extended to your parents and better save then invest the money on something that can grow so well. Well, nobody can go back in time when Bitcoin is still cheap and that is why many are involved with other projects which unfortunately many can be scams or frauds. Taking the risks when done right can indeed be bringing a fortune. Aside from taking the action and choosing the right opportunity, a little amount of luck can also be another ingredient -- that situation when you are at the right place, right time and you are the right person.

That boy is a lucky boy who can have much money from bitcoin. But if he doesn't sell his bitcoin, he cannot be a millionaire because he still has bitcoin, not the fiat which he can use to buy anything he wants. But if he sells some amount of his bitcoin, and send the money into his bank account then yes, he is one of the wealthiest people.

But that is inspirational for us, which can give us a lesson about what it looks like a new thing, and it can provide us with a new way to be our success. That boy is really open mind with something new than the adult people around him.

That's a lot of money of a gift for a young age, how I wish grandma would surprise me that one time which I'll doubt. What I can think about that age are all those flashy gadgets or even think to be thrifty since school days are coming, haha. Not every one of us can get $1,000 to our savings with the ages ranging from 12-19. I see that this is the story of Erik Finman, he really did something great at a very young age. We admire him because when we're younger or during the early days of bitcoin, we don't care about it and we're doing a different thing.

At the same age I might never get a prize of up to $ 1,000. Maybe what I have at age 12 is only around $ 10- $ 50.

but the thing that a 12-year-old boy bought bitcoin with $ 1,000 to own 401 BTC was incredible. He was able to create opportunities and see a gap in the success of bitcoin in the future. His mentality is also extraordinary for a boy his age.

1000$ is big enough for me and maybe if I were given that much money then when I was young I might have bought another game or console. Me too I'm also wondering how could the parents of this young boy trusted him with such a huge amount but I think it is too big for a 12 year old boy to handle. Absolutely he made an outstanding investment at the early age of 12 and its rare too. Story of Erik Finman is quite inspiring for new bitcoin holders and specially his condition of not enrolling on university if he can make 1 million just by investing 1000$:). Yeap,,, everyone isn't enough lucky like Erik and most parents don't like to give big amount of money to their kids at an early age of 12 ::) Now i am thinking about my childhood days when my mom was frustrated due to my regular chocolate purchase. Actually, he was always rich thanks to his family even before he invested in BTC. This story has been around for ages and almost everyone from the crypto community know about him and his success story.

It is an epic accomplishment, but not extraordinary in my opinion. Luck played a greater role in his success. He basically hit the jackpot thanks to his smart decisions.

That is truly an inspiring story. Everyone has their own success story. Method and technique can be copied, but not by luck.

An important lesson from the story is that the boy entrusted his investment in bitcoin, when most people doubted. And look, when his belief becomes a sweet fruit, surely the people around him who initially thought his choice was a silly act would definitely want to try it. I can say that some early adopter or to those people who bought bitcoin just because of mere curiosity or just going with the trend on that time are considered lucky.

Haven't read the whole story (I'm just being cautious with the link I opened) but I think this boy had a rich parents, who can afford to give him $1,000 anytime. So, I guess this boy was just experimenting and pushing his luck and buy Bitcoin before It costs $1,000, and I guess this was way around 6-9 years ago.
Anyway, this is really an interesting story which will somehow inspire us to buy more Bitcoin lol.

Well, not all parents can afford to give their kids $1000 as a gift, its a huge amount already. I think his family is well-off thus money is not an issue.

This is an example of early investors who hold and now its all paid off.

Even if an average person works for that it would take them almost a year to earn at least $1,000 so I am guessing that teenage kid's parents were rich af to be given. If I was one of the early investors I might be millionaire too but unfortunately it's a little too late when I discovered Bitcoin and the use of it. Before, what I worry about is how can I sneak outside of the house to play with friends.
Play ball, whatever that will be fun outside or sometimes play console because their parents are letting them use it anytime of the day.  ;D

I think there is a good and bad side of this nature.
Kids will tend to be responsible in young age which is supposed to be just fun for them.
When they grow up they could become the serious type without social skills.
I don't want that for my kids. Yeah, they could be responsible but not at that age, yet.

That's a few great stories, being a millionaire at he of 19 is very inspirational, we are all dreaming to be a millionaire someday and it is not that easy to be. We should do many things before we became like that, experience and hardworking are the best things we should have so we may also become that boy.

There are many things he had faced before he comes millionaire imagine he started at the age of 12 and became a billionaire at the age of 19 it's been 7 years on the process and that is too quick for a young boy who only starts for having $1000, I amazed on what are the things he had done before he became a billionaire. Investing is not enough to be like him, he had done so many mining websites I think.

I think that boy can be a good sample for another boy because he can manage the money from his parents to be used to buy bitcoin. I think he doesn't know if bitcoin could increase so high from the last time he bought. Maybe his parents teach him to use the money to invest in something that can give him profit in the future, so he buys bitcoin and holds it for some time. But I wonder if that boy has sold his bitcoin in 2017 or not because if he sold it in that year, I am sure that he will become a new millionaire among his friends.

of course all of us dream of having this amount but the old days are gone now and there are few chances that we have now.

Erik Finman is currently 22/23 years old, and he is only one very unusual exception considering that children as young as 12 cannot legally buy something like BTC, and that kids at that age don’t walk with $1000 in their pocket.

His story may be inspiring, but it is far from possible that someone today can only get rich with $1000, unless he is a really talented trader who can recognize the potential of some altcoin, buy it very cheaply and sell it at its peak for a very big profit.

Of course it is a very good thing, but we have to assess the circumstances that allowed this boy to become a millionaire at that age, not anyone who becomes a millionaire at that age if he is poor. The conditions that relatives have can dictate whether person is likely to be a millionaire at that age or not


if you look at the african continent, you will realize that this is the salary of a good engineer who serves to support a family of at least 5 people. so you can already imagine that for a person who studied a lot in africa and earns 1000 $ / month of salary and has 5 children it is difficult for their children to have $1000 in the savings account


Here we have to analyze two things:

1 - The parents of this 12-year-old boy had good living conditions and for that reason gave that $1000

2 - As this boy parents had good living conditions, he had no need to use the $1000, so if he lost the $1000 it would not be a problem

Wow, this is the best story I have read in recent times, to be sincere. Most kids at his age then wouldn't even be talking about Bitcoin or anything that has to do with investment if you gave them $1,000. Instead they will rush out to buy new gaming consoles, shoes, clothes, food and other things that wouldn't benefit them as much as Bitcoin did for this kid. I was going to say that he might start misusing the money now, but after giving it a thought for a minute, I think he will surely do the right thing with the money he has gotten from the investment, and I wish him luck.

I believe this is going to inspire lot of young generation to think about investing and having bitcoins for rest of life. I mean most people think about buying bitcoins just to enjoy some short term benefits and no one plan for year long holding. I'm personally not that inspired, it's really just luck to be at the right place in the right time, and of course a bit of knowledge and understanding. If you think about it, the world is full of opportunities like Bitcoin, if you'd invested in stocks like Apple or Microsoft or Tesla in their early days, you'd be a millionaire too. Or you can just make a few big leveraged trades in the right moment and turn thousands into millions.

There's no guarantee that Bitcoin will bring the same returns to later investors just because of its previous growth, past performance doesn't mean much in the long run, only fundamentals do.

Well, this is really an inspiring story in fact when I was still at the age of 12 the only thing I knew is to play, and every single penny that I received I ran to the nearest store to buy some stuff, perhaps not for a toy anymore or a snack but for my needs as well and the mere fact that I'm doing such thing it only means that my mindset is still far from saving for the future. Now that I have learned my lesson I am trying to inculcate this to my kiddo that each penny must be valued enough, and learn to save so when the time comes he already has his own money which he exerted effort through saving. Indeed, --I should tell my kid the story of this Erik Finman so he would get inspired and may start saving and invest in bitcoin in the near future.

That's a wise decision that kid made there. I'm quite surprised that a little kid at his age got to know about Bitcoin at that stage, and truly it was worth it for him and he's now a millionaire at a young age. The kid must be a really smart kid, most kids at his age don't think of investment , they spend their time on fun.

The most important thing now is what he chooses to do with that money. Hello everybody. Yeah, an inspiring story. I want to share my thoughts starting with the fact that there are many assets in the world, investments in which are worthy of our attention. There is a kind of war for our wallets and for our investments. And as in any war we need heroes, sometimes only such stories make a potential investor pay attention to one or another asset. Bitcoin is waging a war for a place in the sun, and such boys, who made their investment in bitcoin, are our true heroes, thanks to such cases, we continue to warm the belief that we all were in the right place and made the right investment in the right asset.

Most of us here probably want to become that boy but unluckily hits some shit throughout our life that causes us to use every single buck in our pocket. what has to do now is learn everything from these kinds of stories and pass them to our young people who have some good perspective like us. we don't want them to repeat the same mistake like we did so we tell them what would go wrong if they followed our footstep. in this way, we lessen our regret at some point in our life and we taught them very important lesson that they can use in the future.

It really depends on a child's upbringing. Most teens today spend money on gadgets, clothes and shoes, bags, alcoholic drinks, drugs, etc. But once a child is educated about life and investment, surely, scenes like this won't be impossible. I myself, is still at a low level at the ladder here. And I have yet to learn more. I have to agree with you on this. When Bitcoin was in its early stage at less than $5 a coin most of us were not aware of its existence.

At that time I was still at school and did not even have a decent computer and had to ask my parents for money every time I wanted to go out or order a pizza. When I had $10 in my pocket I felt lucky.

To go all in with your savings is always a difficult choice even if it's 1000 or less.

That boy really is a role model for us all, that's very rare and unique. We all know that kids are more playful and maybe in reality, that $1000 will be spent into a toys and other things and not in bitcoin. That's good story and I think that 19 yea19-year-oldas a knowldge into the world of cryptocurrency and that gift was so huge giving a thousand dollars on you and invest all of your money into the bitcoin that child knows to make money or we can be called as the millionaire mind boy.
