Title: Is this a ponzi?
Post by: Fishmooney on May 19, 2020, 03:09:37 PM
This sound like a clever ponzi, invite people, get money, repeat.
What do you think?

Just found an app created by an altcoin/token team, FinCredit Protocol (https://ficpro.io/ (https://ficpro.io/)), where you can form a purchase group with 2 friends to enjoy discount of 20%-50% when purchasing ETH (currently 0.1 ETH or 0.2 ETH) right in the app. All you need to do is hold a small amount of their FIC token in the app (at least 50 FIC to become level-1 user), and invite some friends to become higher-level users.

For example, with 3 level-1 users to form a purchase group, each user can spend only 15 USDT + 50 FIC to get 0.1 ETH (currently valued 20.66 USDT). It's a great opportunity to get cheaper cryptos for both beginners and experienced crypto players. I have tried and it worked. Withdrawals are also quick.

And you can even do FIC savings in the app (E.g.: Level-1 users have 10% annualized return rate for 7 days). Users with higher level will even enjoy higher return rate and longer savings duration.

Pick up your phone and try it out!

App Name: FICPro

This indeed looks  like a ponzi scheme, with those discounts on ETH purchase.  Barely any info on the website, no mention of the team behind this, no whitepaper etc. User tagged. Let's see if he gives some explanation to all this, but somehow I doubt that will happen.

Yes, it a Ponzi scheme. But I am thinking other thinks? whey there is no website? why just only application the user-provided. It's a little bit suspicious to me. because maybe you guys know about the new malware name EventBot is born and this malware that generally targets the android users, You can take a look here : [Beware] "EventBot" Malware that can steal money from Phone (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5249273.msg54452586#msg54452586)

I am not sure there is any malware in this app or not. but this is very suspicious and a possible way to spread malware.

Not likely. 10% annualized return rate for 7 days is 0.19%.

Do your research before installing unknown apps. It could be scam, malware, etc,
