Post by: logfiles on May 24, 2020, 09:39:35 PM I believe the fake airdrop has emerged due to OMG getting listed on coinbase, so scammer are looking for a way of ripping big from people who are not vigilant. Omisego has recently had a price spike by over 200% after getting listed on Coinbase.
I think your scam accusation might be somehow related to what was earlier on reported by @Baofeng: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5250490.0 Title: Re: [SCAM Alert] Omisego fake airdrop. Not surprised though. They just created the site just to launch a fake airdrop. The problem with this airdrop is they highlighted where to get your private key. They don't have any business with your private key, so why the need of it? Obviously, they want to rip whatever balance you have in your account. A legit airdrop doesn't require any of your private keys. Title: Re: [SCAM Alert] Omisego fake airdrop. They will steal your private key. Obviously, this is fake, and we can only hope that human greed will not take over as you can simply fall for this thinking that you can make a lot of money very easy. |
