Post by: Sweminer777 on May 25, 2020, 10:05:23 AM
World of warcraft game has always kept a secret how game used the currency. GOLD ingame cryptocurrency.

When the game came out, everything could be trades by hash value.
You famed and you got rewarded a little bit of copper or silver from that kill and to generated a new spawn you need to wait for a new md5 hash to be generated by the system.

The format has always been known to be MD5 hashing algorithm and thats why duping and exploting cryptocurrency in WOW has never been possible.

Now the secret is out, Blizzard World of warcraft is the creator.

World of warcraft is Satoshi Nakamoto.

World of warcraft gold is not decentralised or permissionless. You should learn about pre history of Bitcoin. There were many tries to make something like Bitcoin, but it failed at some point. What Satoshi did was to incorporate best technologies from all previous fails. And it worked.

That's right. For a better understanding of how Bitcoin was created, you can read the infographics of "Bitcoin Prehistory (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5126554.msg50395424#msg50395424)". In addition to informative infographics, there are many useful links to this topic.

By the way, who let the dogs (secret) out? ;D

Is this hearsay, or a rumor that's been going on recently?

Hope to get some more information about this, citing links would certainly be appreciated.
