Does Anybody know a crypto project that is really great but failed to materialize? I'd like to see one in your comment.

Hmmm, I don't think so if we can easily say they are already failed since they still continue to run.
For me, NEO, we can't say NEO already failed since they still continue to grow, development still in progress.
NEO for me is a great project. But the last 2 years, they started to become not so active anymore compare in early years of the project.

KUVERIT i think the best one but im not sure if it really failed. Now on pause and planning to enter again with different idea of marketing.

One thing in my mind, Shivom! This project got hype last 2018 however I don't know why but suddenly, silence on their project and nothing follows then. I probably remembered deeponion. That coin was hype the entire 2017 and it was probably one of the most famous coins for bounty hunters and coins hunters alike. They are so active during those days but they've become silent now. That coin pumped 20$ each in 2017 but now it's struggling to go 1$. I can't really say they've failed because they are still running as of now but a lot of their team has left and the community has pretty much been silent compared to when they are at peak.

Pundi should the project that has gone crazy when it was started but it's a failed project right now caused by a big inflation that always giving a huge pressure on the market.

I guess there was another project too beside pundi. So many people have been discussing about how pundi becomes a fail project.

NEO and Waves, in the past they were good competitors to Ethereum. Recent time there are too few updates and developments of them so their prices fall deeply. When market is always developing, EOS, TRX, BNB and many blockchain platforms overcome them.

Gymreward is one of those few project which seems to be very novel at that time. The idea was to create an app using blockchain technology plus a device that monitor heart beat rate so that a crypto called GYM will be mined when you do exercise. The project promote good health living. The dev couldn't raise money but continued to work with the money they take from their own hand. Unfortunately, the project is currently inactive due to lack of fund. Amon  Card is another great project that has been struggling and things went bad when many of their token holders lost their token on cryptopia when it was hacked

There are many projects that have an excellent foundation when they are released, they did very well but in the end they end up a failure, it's one reason why I hate Hype and FOMO, for example I will like to made metion of few projects that aren't living up to their standard anymore

Not all these projects turned scam but they aren't that good unlike when they come into crypto space.

I have never even seen this project before. We have a lot of projects like this in this market, projects created but unable to develop and follow like their roadmap. OP is talking about the top projects in this market, so I think we should come up with bigger projects like ADA. They did not do whatever they said and now the project seems too silent

look for many successful  ICO that raised large fund there are many of them failed and even stop the development  they promise to create when they are just started.


Just look for old announcement thread of every project that started in 2018 to 2019 and you will find many failed project.

Personally I hate the XVG project, they created a big hype in 2017 about their project. It has caused the price of XVG to increase hundreds of times, but until now they have not done anything. All are lies from the project and make investors lose in the past 2 years

I didn't participate in the Shivom project, but I saw that their social media was still active, is it really that there was no development anymore?

They have been dead for a long time, without any updates from their project. But this is one of the successful bounty in 2018, a lot of people have received money from them. And my friend got more than 5000 $ from signature campaign with full member rating only

BipCoin. It was like namecoin just a Monero fork. Sadly was not that much interest of community to further push the project.

To be honest, Shivom is a true definition of failure,  the project generated thousands of hype and several community buzz around it, but eventually. It listed on kucoin exchange back then and it totally crashed, got delisted and died off.

A lively project that ended with regret for investors and team.

I remember great but dead project was Postoken, I to invest $ 2000 in this project but after a while the founder of this project ran away. if this project continues to grow, of course now it has become a very large project

I hate to say the Miracletele and ENDCHAIN ​​projects. I still remember this project and I think it is a good project but ended badly. I don't know what happened to them, but I think that these two projects are good and have a bad ending.

ICONOMI (ICN) project was once great back in the ICO days its listed on major exchanges like kraken and as far as I know binance also listed this token. Somehow this project is delisted in most exchanges and now just listed on on thier own like they isolate their token to anyone. They have also create another contract for their token and then move away.

I don't even have any idea what happen to them but I still have some tokens left. Tim use to be active but now can't be found.

Shivom, miracletele, endchain, the list goes on and on, they raised enough money for development and they just give up the ghost, no one saw it coming though because these projects have a very smooth beginning

XVG has done a crap partnership and that's the result for years of development progress. It's not all lies but the developer can't keep the promise to create a good partnership. Remember there was a lot of loop holes on its blockchain that has made XVG got hacked several times.

That's a garbage chain with no usefulness.

The best overall project would never fail. But there are projects that's good on paper but has failed to deliver due to incapability of the leading team. Many of the users have already suggested most of them. NEO and Stellar on my opinion were too good to fail. Similarly there were service based project like Gladius and Sia which were pioneer on their genre but couldn't deliver a fully working product.

The same thing in my end, I joined their signature campaign and got a good amount of money, it is even the most hyped ICO, there are many expectations from the team but it seems like they just ran away or maybe, they didn't pursue their roadmap but who knows, it might be because their holdings went down because of the bear market.

I have also participated in the bounty from Pundix and the results are quite good, maybe they failed because of market influence and also there are no more investors who are interested in their coins and finally they run away

It is a security and since it was not started by security rules it cant be on exchanges. ICONOMI still exist. It did not failed.

Xspec is one that I always said that should have been successful because it is a privacy coin that has more blockchain development under their belt than any other privacy coin but didn't get that much attention. There is no privacy coin that has as improved technology as they do and they always done the leading ideas before any of them and others just followed but they didn't get to be as high as some of the famous privacy ones.

Nano is also another one because that had so much fast blockchain transactions that you would be paying zero fee and getting it under 1 second, under 1 second is ridiculously fast and never seen anywhere else before and it happens. So, those two projects should have been a lot higher than what they are right now but unfortunately didn't go up at all and now tanked.

I think it is EOS, this project has received a lot of hype and interest from investors. But over the years, this project has not grown too much, and it seems that the EOS blockchain is very difficult to use and reach new users.

Plenty of good cryptocurrency projects have failed, some of them you've never even heard of, because they simply failed to launch entirely.

From recently memory, Multiversum sounded like it had great potential, but then completely failed to deliver.

PIVX is another one that did the same, promising to bring the IPFS protocol to the mainstream—and then got hacked and died.

Practically every token that was hyped up in 2017 following an ICO is now in the early stages of death.

A project that's promising today can turn bad tomorrow, it happens, you don't have to go around looking for such projects, this is why its good to use diversification when investing in altcoins since you can never tell what will happen

How can a project be a "best" project if the project already failed? Makes no sense at all.
Are you trying to say if there was any project with a very good idea but failed? Then yeah, there are tons of such projects out there. They put forward extremely good ideas (so good that they are actually impossible to achieve), take investors money and then runs away.

I see a lot of altcoins like that, there are a few examples like QKC, NEO, CMT .. these are promising projects in 2017 and 2018, but until now they seem to be dead and without any problems. Any updates. Be really careful when choosing altcoin to invest. Especially altcoins in the long term

Well, I know of Multiversum.  It is a huge crypto project that attracted the attention of many investors back then in 2018/2019.  I did a lot of hard work before I could get little amount of that token hoping that I'm in money already when it is listed on exchange.  Unfortunately, the team was misled or given wrong advice.  The project failed to reach exchange eventually and it has became a decorative coin in my wallet now.

There are in fact many projects which had the hype, raised good money and everyone thought they will make an impact and then all of a sudden everything comes crashing with the projects nowhere to be found, neither is there any product they can boost of. One of such projects is Cool cousin, whose idea was to create a traveling platform, they managed to list and that was it, nothing more nothing less. Another is Nexty, no one is hearing from them again.

Yes there are many good projects that failed, I don't bother cramming the names since they failed already, this is why crypto investment seem like gamble sometimes, its always wise to have many promising altcoins in your portfolio because not everyone of these altcoins will survive even if they have the best features

Sometimes we are also wrong in interpreting or evaluating projects, because a failed project is a project that is not good, because a project that is really good in general will not fail, because the team is very concerned about the project so they are always looking for solutions to make the project become success.

I have seen a lot of projects that failed to materialized because of its incompetent devs this are the two promising projects that if it went other ways who knows they might be at the top 10 nowadays.

Any good project can fail at one point in time, the reason? Well we can never tell, humans like yourself are the ones in charge of these new projects, anything can happen, even death or betrayals or just simple bad intent from the team themselves

Yes, it is possible that everything can happen to the project even when we don't expect it at all, only in the case of a project we can also see physically whether the project is strong or not and is supported by a large partner, because things like that are clear can bring a project into success, except for betrayal or simple bad intentions from the team itself.

I have seen a few projects like QKC, CMT ... They are very well evaluated projects and there are a lot of famous people investing in it. But in the end, these projects turned into scams and did not meet the expectations of investors, they were failed projects in this market.

But I am curious to know why you're looking for the projects which were failed? Do you have any plan to take over such projects?
If so, that must be the biggest mistake of your lifetime. Because, people will never believe into already failed projects.  I guess failed project must remain failed forever because regaining faith from this community is not that easier one.

Instead of looking for re-launching an old project, you may copy the concept of whatever project you are liking.

Yes, people will never mind about duplicate concept based projects. There are a lot of such projects are already into the market. I mean there are more than one projects which are dealing about same concept or providing solution for the same kind of problems.

many very large platforms do scams, some cases often occur on platforms where exchanges, cases that I know of at the last exchange place are where BCNEX exchanges do scams even though when they are bidding on investors they get a hardcap but some time later the website can't withdraw assets and until now it can't be opened and the problem isn't over.
