Title: what is your blackjack strategy when you have 12,14,16 Numbers in your hand?
Post by: sujonali1819 on May 26, 2020, 09:10:51 AM
First I want to say I am not much familiar with the gamble and I have a little knowledge about gambling games. After starting to manage the blackjack.fun signature campaign I try to play sometime in blackjack.fun (http://blackjack.fun). And I realize blackjack is really a fun game. Firstly I can not know how to play but after searching on google and youtube I have some basic knowledge about it and sometimes I won about 20x from their giveaways(it's actually my luck). But some problems to take decision with some numbers.

1. Number 12
2. Number 14
3. Number 16

when I have these numbers I mostly take a false decision, Like if I stand then see dealer won the game, again if I hit then see there is a big card and busted

so what is the strategy you use in these cases? I am really curious to know from the blackjack experts.

As an old and active blackjack (21) player, I would like to share my tactics that I have been using for a long time and that have enabled me to win continuously. Remember, the only way to make a profit in gambling is to claim your will and there is no guarantee of any tactics or methods! With this method that I use, you will have the opportunity to earn a little higher probability than other methods or games based on chance by owning your own will. In order to make it easier to explain, I want to explain it with sample figures;
In our first game, we bet with an amount of 2-5% of our safe. After determining this percentage according to our own decision, we start the game and demand new cards until the amount of cards we have is 17. When the current number reaches 17, we don't want any other cards and we wait for the cashier to open the cards. The number here is not necessarily clear 17, the player may not want a new card at points such as 15-16-17-18 at any point he wishes. In this way, we increase our earnings rate and do not take much risk. So what if we lose? We will place our next bet twice as much as our previous bet, and when we win this bet, we will compensate for our previous loss. Of course, besides this phone, 25% gain will be achieved. In short, I am trying to set the number I have close to 17 or 17 and I keep getting new cards until I reach this number. I also apply the Martingale system, as I mentioned, when I play earnings-oriented.

nice . didnt know that martingale method can also be applied on blackjack  .

the reason why is i didnt know is because i cant see the autobet option on the site that i play  while im not sure on other sites .  if i have the numbers mentioned above  let say 16  , i will doubt if i hold or pick more card  .  also depends on the dealers card   . but for numbers 12 and 14 i always play for more cards  , i won most of the time tho but this game can change sometimes   .

Just like in other games, the Martingale system can be applied in Blackjack by placing twice new bets of the previous bet as the game loses. As I mentioned about the game, the method I mentioned has absolutely no income guarantee and the event is only to reach the nearest number 21 without being busted. That is, I do not think about the number of points the dealer has reached or if the dealer can get more points when I am 17. Just as you mentioned, as long as we are in small numbers, we should draw new cards and process more carefully as the number grows.

so what is the strategy you use in these cases? I am really curious to know from the blackjack experts.

It's not only about your cards, but the single open dealer card also matters. This has been my strategy for over 3 years playing Blackjack.

For soft hands (ie. your opening cards has an Ace), I'll stand if the total is >=18 else I'll hit.
For Hard hands (ie. your opening cards doesn't have an Ace), I'll stand if the total is >=17 and hit if total is <=11. But for totals between 12 to 16, I'll hit if the dealer's card is >7 else I'll stand.
I'll split if I have pairs of A or 7 or 8. I might also split 9 pairs if the dealer card is less than 5.

And yes you can couple martingale strategy as BitcoinTurk but I would suggest having a max bet limit as Martingale strategy may get you rekt.

So, if you are given with cards totalling 12-16, hit it irrespective of the dealer card if you have a soft hand because if you are dealt with a number between 1-5 you get chance to cross 17 and even if it's a high-value card like 10, you won't get busted. But if it's a hard total, you'll have to check the dealer card. And as stated above you'll have to hit if the dealer card is >7 or stand. The reason is if the dealer card is greater than 7 the dealer has a better chance of scoring a higher total. If the dealer card is less than 7, even if the dealer gets a 10 value card, the dealer has a bigger chance of getting bust as he'll have to hit again to cross 16.

Hope it helps.

Great strategy. I will try to follow your strategy. Since I can not get all things now because of I am in mobile. I will try to follow line by line when I will go to PC + during play.

And since you have more than 3 years experience about blackjack. So maybe I will try to contact you privately.

Any other blackjack expert strategy is highly appreciated here. You guys feel free to share here.

Not a fans blackjack but went I got this number

  • Under 10 - Hit a few times
  • 10-11 Doubles
  • 13-14 Hit one more times
  • 15- Probably stand

If anyone discussed about counting card for blackjack, is not gonna work on virtual blackjack ;D just want to put this statement before anyone discusses that's at here.

Feel free to use the strategy, but please don't follow it blindly. Even with this strategy, you might end up losing by the end of the day. This is just a basic strategy, you'll have to improvise yourself while playing.
Btw, feel free to contact me privately, happy to help :)

Ah, yea obviously I will not take it blindly. Because there is a basic knowledge I have. So I will try it for checking and will apply most of the times if I will find something works better.

With the game of blackjack, I start standing at 16.  12 and 14 is way too low and the chance of getting busted is quite slim on that numbers (depending on the cards on the deck of course).  That is why in a game of Blackjack, card counting is pretty popular.

If you want, you can try to learn it in this tutorial (https://www.888casino.com/blog/card-counting-trainer).

If anyone discussed about counting card for blackjack, is not gonna work on virtual blackjack ;D just want to put this statement before anyone discusses that's at here.

Yeah, that's sad but if OP wanted to play blackjack in a landbased Casino that link can help  ;D.

Well, we are the same story, I practiced Blackjack when I discovered that game here in the forum after I have known poker game which is it takes almost 2 weeks for me to practice. Now, back to blackjack. This game I recently know, --due to the reason of always active in the gambling section, I also curious how to play Blackjack. Perhaps, if I hold 12,14, 16, I will go hit perhaps at once. That isn't good to stand because perhaps the dealer might win against you. 17 up to 19 total numbers of cards is a good sign to stand. Indeed, all in all, this game is based on luck.

Nah @OP will not be playing on a physical casino based on the first time his reason playing blackjack XD.

14-16 was optional, depending on the card dealer if the dealer has a small card at the first roll stand would be good option, but went the dealer have 9-11 I will going a "YOLO" hits one more time.

Not a huge fan of blackjack game but I do play it some times. I dont have specific strategies in any cases, usually I use my own feelings only. Sometimes I do Stand on 12 14 or 16, even I do DOUBLE when I get 12-13 depends on my feeling. Of course I need to see the possible outcome of the dealer cards by looking at the Opened card.

We don't know the possibility.  Who knows, after playing for some time in an online Casino, OP gets bored and decided to try it on physical casino just for the experience.

Yeah, the 14-16 is the hardest range of cards in hand to decide, and I think akhjob have a good strategy in this kind of situation and Bitcointurk martingale style is also interesting.

Unless we can count but how do you see the possible outcome of the dealers by its opened card?

It doesn't look like a fair game specially when we know the house always win.  Its not like the dealer will be holding 52 cards on his hand.  But I have played blackjack in crypto casino, its just frustrating to see that when you got 20 the house gets 21 after a hit. Not a regular playing to this game but basically I will stand when its 17+ and will hit when its -16.

There are so much of a situation in gambling where you can play with martingale system, you just need to cope with the odds that you are winning for example the chances are 40% to 60%, martingale method works perfectly on this percentage and guarantee a profit.

the reason why is i didnt know is because i cant see the autobet option on the site that i play  while im not sure on other sites .  if i have the numbers mentioned above  let say 16  , i will doubt if i hold or pick more card  .  also depends on the dealers card   . but for numbers 12 and 14 i always play for more cards  , i won most of the time tho but this game can change sometimes   .
I don't want to play with autobet system, it defeats the purpose of winning for me at the same time the entertainment you want (if you do) will just be as same as sleeping. In blackjack the safes range (for me ) is 15 to 18, if you draw another card that exceeds 7 to 4 probably 30 cards in the deck there is a high chance that you lose that certain play. I love receiving a 10, it keeps you safe from any of unwanted high cards.

When 11 - 13 - Hit once
When getting 17-19 - I stand

It depends because sometime intuition or guts do tell you if you do need to hit once or more
depending on the scenario and it do works for me.I did able to get 100k FUN in blackjack.fun when
i tried it out.

^ We are the same strategy, when I got pair of 9's or even 8's number of cards. That is good to stand and beat the dealer, in this game you need to have a strong guess in your mind. If you will have number 19-20 in your hand don't hesitate to stand, never do any insurance bet when the dealer’s upcard is an Ace. Because the reason is the odds that the dealer, making it a sucker bet is my best opinion. Blackjack is a very easiest and simple game, but even though how easy it is, you probably need some luck in hitting cards on your deck.

I think we all may have the same strategy when we are playing normally and cold headed.Mine is with 12 to always hit, with 14 50% hit and 50% stand and with 16 90% stand and only 10% hit.

However when we are playing online and not against a real dealer I have lost a lot of times even when I had really good cards which shows you can’t win against computer controlled software.

In live tables I most likely stand when I get those numbers but if the dealer and other players gets a bunch of low cards i'd take the hit and risk it. Sometimes it works then there are times where you'll get a high card until you bust. After the loss i'll slightly feel bad about the decision and go back to the safe play.which is to stand and hope for the bust. If I get an Ace I always hit on 12 and 14 but in 16 it's a 50-50 depending on what the dealer have because standing here could sometimes be the difference between winning and losing.

i saw other bj players that have different move  .  they normally stand a lower number of cards and still manage to win the game while us when we do hit the lower cards we often can get good number of cards but the problem is that dealer got a good cards too so the result can be a tie and losse  but i wont think bj on online and on real world are different  . maybe its just not our time to win  and we always have the iniative that online gambling cheates us but the truth it isnt  .

Thanks for sharing your sharp strategy. I also do the same things when I get the Ace and total is 12,14 as like you, but most of the time I see get another 10 card and the total does not change, very rare case I see come to a good card that helps to become 17-20 a good hand for stand . :)

BTW can anybody tell me about insurance? when I should take the insurance? I don't understand this.

Not every site offers insurance but some do offer insurance. Insurance is a side bet which is offered only when the dealer's open card is an 'Ace'. Generally, insurance will be half of your original bet amount. So, if the dealer’s second card has a value of 10, the dealer makes blackjack and you will win the Insurance bet, but lose your original bet. If the dealer doesn't make blackjack, you'll lose your insurance bet and the original bet is decided as usual.

Unless you are counting cards in a real casino, don't take insurance because it's actually you placing an additional bet on the outcome of the dealer's card .ie. whether the dealer gets a blackjack or not.

Double down when below 10, and it depends on what I feel whenever its around 14-15. I sometimes do a hit and sometimes a stand, ofc, both have given me wins and losses every now and then. There's also the fact that I like risking my chances whenever I hit an 18 and try to do a double down or just hit. Not the best choice, I know, but it's an unexpected one to say the least right? 12, 14, and 16 are mostly cards that rely on luck when taking a stand. The best choice you'd have at 12 is to opt for a stand imo, and at 14 and 16, either pray for the dealer to bust, or pray for your hit to pay off well. It's just a matter of luck.
BTW can anybody tell me about insurance? when I should take the insurance? I don't understand this.
AFAIK, taking insurance just makes you lose more in the long run. You can just look it up or watch a few sample games tbh, probably a lot easier to understand then.

I have played blackjack too for the first time in a site where I promoted their campaign (bounty campaign). It is a betting site and luckily, we got our bounty rewards that have been placed on our accounts in the site.

I also have read some strategies here and I think that I will use it when the pandemic is over (because I'm spending more on essentials rather than others). I might try to do some strategies that you users shared in this thread. Thanks for the strategies. When I'm playing blackjack for the first time, I don't have any strategies but my feelings and luck only :D.

I think 12 and 14 are still small to stand, so I will still ask for a card to reach a higher number.
whereas 16 is already a pretty decent number however it is rather difficult to get a card to add value because the busted chance is greater than adding value.
and this last is also about luck, you can just get a 5 card after your point 16

At first, it's depend how many cards do you and dealer have on your hands. More cards - worse. Less cards - better.

Number 12:

Card which fit you: anything less 10, ( and A ).

Probability to get needed card: (8 * 4 ) / 52 - n, where n - is number of card in hand of you + dealer . 8, because "2", "3", .... "9" is fitted to us.  So, we have around 61-70 % of probability that you will not be busted

Number 14

The same, but here we have only 6 rank cards to fit (from 2 to 7) . So the probability will be around 53 % .

Number 16:

Only 4 cards ranks to fit. So the probability will be just 45 %.

Why it's good to have less cards on your hand? Easy - because this decrease probability that you will get a big card to your hand and will be busted. If you have on your hands something like 10-6 and dealer has also two cards, you can try to risk with 14-16, but if you both have 4 cards, this will be bad idea.
