Title: Eidoo's debit card
Post by: OmegaStarScream on May 26, 2020, 11:35:20 AM
So... it seems like Eidoo did a partnership with Contis and they just released their own visa debit card[1][2] (Thanks to Captain-Cryptory for bringing this to my attention (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1242788.msg54502094#msg54502094)) :

- The card is available for EU and U.K citizens (KYC is mandatory).
- Unlike the other cards, the funds are linked to a non-custodial wallet.
- Up to 10% cashup (depends on the card you order).
- There are some Perks and rewards (https://i.imgur.com/BURh9xm.png).

The card can be pre-ordered from the app (https://eidoo.io/desktop-download) (Desktop, iOS and Android).

What are your thoughts and do you think this card could compete with Wirex and Coinbase?

I've sent him some merit as he may enjoy it more than you  ;)
It worth keeping an eye on it, the non-custodian wallet may be interesting, the "no annual fees" is definitely interesting, but the full list of fees and limits is the part I really want to see.

Another with a shitcoin attached to it. Why?

If the fees are lower than Coinbase or Wirex I might consider it for pin money. I do wish these places publicised their spreads, or said whether there's one present, as that often eats a shit ton more money than any headline fee. Wirex's spread adds about 0.5-0.7% but they don't mention it anywhere.
